This is a tiny location; however these folks most likely are returning customers (from previous trips). Many traveling families love to share experiences with each other so many of them show up because someone they knew had a great time. Because of the large returning groups, this is one of the few places that offer brown rice! That is great in my book. Also the food is as good as I remembered it . Well worth the wait. The eggs Benedict was great and the seafood with taro bread added a great touch. Pancakes are divine (you can buy their pancake mix at their gift shop.) The only drawback is the short time it's open (only breakfast/brunch times) and the long lines to get a table. Better download yelp as to find out how long the wait is. Still worth going!!!

Google
Best pancakea ever. Period. We even bought some of the pancakes mix and brought it home. Made some pancakes and WOW, so good. Also tried the island style fried rice. It was great. You're gonna have to wait, but it well with it. Been twice. So good. I didn't get a photo of the pancakes because I devoured them too fast.

Jeff Downing

Google
Excellent breakfast spot. We had crab cake Benedict, eggs on rice, and short stack. Great eats. I recommend getting on the waitlist list before walking over. It will make the wait shorter and add to the experience

Google
This place has been around a while. Used to be mostly locals. As they got more popular with the tourist crowd, they opened more locations. I’m happy to say they are still a solid Hawaiian breakfast option. The loco moco is probably the best in town and the mac nut pancakes are absolutely delicious. 😋. The fried rice was good and solid but needed a bit more soy sauce for my taste. Must try the POG juice. Their version is perfection.

In my previous visits to the island, I’ve always wondered why there was such a long wait for breakfast here. So, I decided to check it out for myself. Firstly, we arrived early enough on a weekday that there was zero lineup. Secondly, service is top notch. Very friendly and precise. Lastly, the food was barely ok. The pancakes looked amazing but that’s where it ended. The pancakes were like uncooked bisquick powder. Each pancake broke apart like week old bread. I would rate the service high, at least a 5/5…but the food was barely a 2/5. There’s much better near by with a little walking.

Google
I had the loco moco here, and it was absolutely delicious—better than any I’ve had back in California. The flavors were spot on, and the portion was just right to leave me feeling full and satisfied. The restaurant can get busy, so I definitely recommend booking early to avoid long waits. Great spot for a solid Hawaiian breakfast!

Google
We ate here for breakfast in Japan two years ago and had a great experience. We couldn't wait to eat here in Hawaii and our expectations were totally met. I got the Special French Toast with mandarin oranges, macadamia nuts, whipped cream, and homemade marmalade. With the coconut syrup it was heaven. My husband got a create your own omelette: Portugese sausage, white onions, and pepperjack cheese with a side of buttermilk pancakes. Everything was so so good.

Google
I recently ordered pancakes from this restaurant, and it was a very disappointing experience. While I managed to eat half of them, the pancakes tasted terrible. The flour was raw, and the eggs also had an uncooked taste, which made them unpleasant. What’s worse, I noticed that other customers who ordered pancakes didn’t even finish theirs, which suggests a consistent issue with how they’re made. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for pancakes. It’s clear something needs to change in their preparation.

Yelp
Best breakfast in Waikiki!! Generous portions, reasonable prices and attentive staff. I eat here every day when I'm in Honolulu.

Samantha J.

Yelp
Eggs and thing is such a staple in all of my visits to Waikiki. This place can definitely get busy at times but don't worry, the staff is so wonderful and is very attentive to your needs. My go to order there is the Hawaiian Loco Moco but this time I decided to try the Furikake Ahi Steak and eggs and I must say I found my new favorite item to order there especially when you upgrade your rice to fried rice. The ahi is so fresh and flavorful I should have ordered a second plate to go. We also ordered the Macadamia Nut Pancakes which I was somewhat disappointed in. It might have just been my pancakes but it was very dry and needed a lot of syrup. I've had the pancakes in the past and they were always a hitter. Definitely would recommend to anyone who's looking for to start their day off to some great food and even better hospitality.

Yelp
**If you decide to eat here, join the waitlist on yelp as you're heading over to cut down on the wait time!** For context, Ive gone here a few times over the years so I feel like my observations are consistent. This is a classic breakfast/brunch spot with a lot of selection and decent portions. The food is pretty basic with decent taste, but nothing unique per say. If you have a sweet tooth, the crepes and pancakes are great! Loco moco is also good. Wait times can get extremely long (always 30+ minutes) and the service is ok. Im not sure why theres such long wait times when there are multiple empty tables upstairs. Staff doesnt seem happy; Ive been to other brunch spots in Hawaii with friendlier hostesses and waiters.

Laurene T.

Yelp
Before I begin, join the waitlist on YELP! You'll thank me. Ok, moving on, GO HERE. RUN here! My husband and I love non-traditional things, and we especially love Loco Moco, fish, and Asian influenced food. Eggs n Things delivers all that...and more. So much so, we came here twice during our stay! The staff was so kind, and accommodating. There was a consistent line each day, which started before they opened, so definitely join the waitlist online, and be prepared to wait. It's tight quarters upstairs, so don't bring large bags or luggage! The portions are huge, and I mean, massive. Like, you will have a second meal kind of massive. The loco moco was legit, the gravy was all kinds of right, and so big! The kimchi fried rice was like nothing we've had, filled with different kinds of meat, it didn't even need the gg on top! The ahi with eggs and rice was probably my favorite, though. I chose the furikake macadamia crust, and it was just outstanding! I ordered it rare, and I would say it was closer to medium, but it was so good I didn't care. It comes with a delightful macadamia wasabi aioli, and the eggs were just great! So fresh and made with care. The POG juice was fresh, and the coffee was strong. They have daily specials, which cover all sorts of dishes, and the pancakes going by looked like works of dessert art!

Yelp
I've been coming to eggs& and things for 27 years, it's it sucks now, I waited 12 minutes, before waitress Mier, ask for our order, and I couldn't understand her, she was short. What happen to our older waitresses from 20 years ago? The kids nowadays would NEVER survive our world. And no apologies either. This is my last time here.

Kennycia D.

Yelp
Add your name on the yelp waitlist before you get there. It's worth the wait! I had the fried rice and it was super yummy and a huge portion. We also had the pancakes and really enjoyed the different syrups the offer. Coconut and guava. The service was also great!

Brendan A.

Yelp
Excellent food at reasonable prices. Very large portions as well. I had the Eggs Benedict with the Portuguese sausage on a taro muffin and a short stack. It was excellent and I couldn't finish the pancakes. Wife had strawberry pancakes with about 4 inches of whipped cream. Yum.

Courtney R.

Yelp
Wow, this was the best eggs bene I've ever had! The family took us to brunch here before our flight back to NV. They have lots of breakfast options and everything was delicious! The severs were very friendly and the food was delivered pretty quickly! They also have the cutest gift shop downstairs with a bunch of cute honey bear themed things. A great place for brunch if you're in the area! 10/10

Natasha L.

Yelp
The food was delicious! I loved the style of the building. Our sever was very attentive and everyone was so friendly! I would definitely eat her again on my next trip.

Rob B.

Yelp
Small little breakfast spot with an amazing view of the beach and people walking by, very limited seating. Get in line online before showing up save yourself some time because it was an hour wait, we jumped in line online and showed up 15 minutes before seating. The food here is amazing. Pancakes with an assortment of fresh fruits, Hawaiin bread French toast, eggs Benedict and crispy bacon. Good stuff

Madison M.

Yelp
This was my last food stop while visiting Hawai'i recently. Loco moco - I loved that this was more than just a hamburger patty with rice, eggs, and gravy. This has fried rice with grilled onions and mushrooms (note: I do not eat mushrooms, so my sister got to enjoy them all and loved them). Pancake sampler - pancakes were fluffy and good, but standard in my opinion. The table side coconut syrup was the real stand out and I wish they sold it in their storefront because I'd take it home with me in an instant. The only thing I really felt was missing was a loaded ube pancake. I guess that means I just have to come back to Hawai'i again soon, right?! Mixed fruit - we also shared a mixed fruit bowl to make us feel healthy and because it was refreshing and yummy. Very standard and we both enjoyed it.

Kirbie W.

Yelp
Delicious pancakes and eggs Benny on a purple potato roll. Very mom n pop vibes, fair prices, and walking distance from Waikiki beach. This location is a little more hidden than the other, so we were able to walk up and get a table unlike the one of the main drag with a 3 hour wait! A cute little jewelry store around the corner with handcrafted earrings btw!!

Sophie F.

Yelp
We were staying at the Alohilani hotel which is right next door and wanted some breakfast. They do not accept orders over the phone yet we were having trouble linking to the website to place the order. They recommended we use doordash and pick up the meal. The food was good, as expected, but we ran into some issues ordering through door dash (issues we alerted doordash) Advice if ordering through door dash - order each item as an individual item!!!! DoorDash offers you to 'add on' to items but those items are often not seen by the restaurant/kitchen and forgotten. For example, we ordered Eggs Florentine and it asked if we wanted to add on a short stack and maple syrup. We paid for the short stack and maple syrup through door dash but the restaurant did not receive this part of the order and when we went to pick up the order, the short stack was not included in our food. We alerted doordash and hopefully they make this right for future customers. If you want a short stack and eggs florentine, add them to your cart individually and as separate items to make sure it is included in your to go bag!

Dre L.

Yelp
Definitely a place worth trying. Such a Great breakfast! Hearty portions will not disappoint. Very tasty- Everything was seasoned well, pancakes were incredible good and the guava and coconut syrup at the table made made even more amazing. Friendly staff, service was very attentive.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Great experience, the portions are fairly big and will last till lunch I tell you that! Get a reservation in advance! We thought since it would be early we wouldnt need one, nope We had about a 40 minute wait it was fairly packed. Servers were great too!

Anel D.

Yelp
Waitlist estimation is bogus. Ours said it was 24-31 minutes and sat over 40 minutes to get an update saying it'd be another 30, and somehow our spot in line via the app went from 7th to 11th. Didn't even get to eat and won't bother coming back to try.

Philip F.

Yelp
Always my favorite place to have breakfast! The food always very good and reasonably price for the area.

June A.

Yelp
You definitely want to join "the wait list" on yelp early. They open at 7. The Nutella Belgian waffle was the best, great flavor & plenty of whipped cream. The portions are plentiful. The specialty drinks were just ok as was the rest of the food.

Luz N.

Yelp
To start the line for this place was for a good reason the plantation pork chops were perfect and the pancakes were delicious. The view to see the Waikiki beach front was spectacular and also felt like a nice hometown diner. However the one thing that brought it down was the service. We got on the waitlist and we were second in line when the host said we were late and that very second we received a text saying we were taken off the list. We had to wait for a table but the food made up for it. Would recommend just go when patience is available

Jamie C.

Yelp
Absolutely the best breakfast on the island hands down! We went to the Saratoga one and it was phenomenal. Excellent service, great variety of food and absolutely divine. Portuguese sausage is on point and the macadamia nuts pancakes with coconut syrup is a whole different level of yum!

Veronica C.

Yelp
The fluffiest pancakes I've ever had! The juice was delicious. They were already busy when I arrived at 7:45am, which meant it was definitely a place to eat! I sat on the patio which was great to see the sun beaming down on the island!

Marjon F.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here. I rarely give below a three-star rating , but sadly, my experience was that bad. I went here with my mom, the wait time was about 40 minutes, we waited almost 1 hour. When they finally called us up, the hostess asked us if we wanted to see the counter, we said we'd prefer not, she said the wait for a table will take another 20 minutes. We obviously did not wait want to wait any longer so we decided to take the counter. The counter seating is best described as depressing. The counter is facing a plain white wall, and you're sittng shoulder to shoulder with others. What frustrated me the most was that two tables opened up less than 2 minutes after we were sat dowb. that really bothered me the dishonesty of the hostess to gauge the table sittings. Especially after already waiting an hour. The food was okay, I ordered an acai bowl, probably one of the worst ones I've ever had, to be honest. And you can see from the photos my mom's food was very sad, she just order the egg breakfast. There's a lot of cute and adorable restaurants for breakfast neighboring this place. I highly recommend checking out one of those first! It definitely was not worth the wait. I would not go back.

Chris F.

Yelp
Waikiki has some awesome food in the city. We enjoyed the breakfast and the ambiance. There was a 15minute wait, and definitely well worth it.

Darlene M.

Yelp
One and done. The workers that I've encountered here are so rude and a bit lazy. Meir was our waitress and she couldn't wait to tell me to throw out my outside drink. I've spoken to multiple employees before we were seated and no one cared or said a word. When she brought our drinks, I simply asked for a straw. She gave me a noticeable eye roll and got our straws. As she was coming with our straws, I reached out my hand to get it since it looked like she was going to hand it to me, but she just threw it down on the table. As we were ordering, my 4 year old asked for the chicken tenders and fries. She requested ranch, but as she was eating it, the ranch was terrible. It was warm and it tasted like a generic version of hidden valley, so we asked for BBQ sauce. Meir said, since we already ordered the meal with ranch, she has to charge us $2.00 for the side of BBQ sauce. We declined it because the container of the ranch is super small and it was not worth $2.00. I ordered a loco moco and on the edge of my bowl looked like there was a bloody fingerprint. I tried to get Meir's attention, but I can tell she was avoiding me. After brunch, I boxed my daughter's leftovers and I asked Meir for a bag. She gave me a white garbage bag! I asked the guy that was the host for a bag with handles and he said, they don't have them because it's illegal. Another customer chimed in and questioned why a bag with a handle is illegal. He couldn't answer. He was also ignoring me when I asked him about the plastic yellow eggs and things bag that was behind him. He walked away. I walked downstairs and I went to the woman who was in charge of checking us in. She gave me a plastic bag with a handle! I told her the guy upstairs said you guys don't have bags with handles because they're illegal. She told me that wasn't true and I thanked her and left. The food was a bit lacking in flavor and on their website it looks like they give generous portions. My mother in law said her breakfast wrap was cold and my father in law found a hair between his pancakes. My husband didn't say a word and that usually means he's unhappy about his food. I asked him about it and he said the berry french toast were a bit soggy. Out of all the restaurants I've eaten here in Hawaii (I come every year for two weeks for the last 10 years) this place is by far that shows the least aloha.

Laurel L.

Yelp
they were able to accommodate my request to sit outside and the vibes were lovely! food was amazing!! I loved the syrup options - guava, coconut, and maple!

Cynthia H.

Yelp
Joined the waitlist for breakfast. I have blood sugar issue and need to have my service dog near me. This clueless person mahea insisted me to leave my dog on the ground. Completely rude. We left. I have lived in hawaii for years and never got this terrible treatment.

Cster X.

Yelp
we've been here multiple times. Always a must-stop when we're in town. Food is good, service is good.

Peggy S.

Yelp
This restaurant was near my hotel so I came by to grab some breakfast to-go. We got the spinach, bacon, cheese omelet and the kalua pork eggs benedict. They were good but werent amazing; I wouldn't come back here unless I am really hungry and near the place. Their breakfast potatoes were delicious though; so were the freshly made POG juice.

Alexa K.

Yelp
I highly recommend joining the waitlist on Yelp ahead of arriving at the restaurant as the wait can get pretty long. The check in process is easy and there are benches outside to enjoy the sunshine while you wait. The seating area is upstairs. It's small and quaint but gets the job done! Great tasting food at generally good prices. Both times we went I got the Breakfast Meat'n Eggs with chicken apple sausage (one time with potatoes and one time with white rice). I was disappointed that both times they were sold out of the chicken mango sausage. Nevertheless, it still tasted good. The show stopper was the macadamia nut pancakes. Incredible!! Fluffy, thick, moist, flavorful, perfection! The *cherry* on top was the coconut syrup and maple syrup (we combined both for a traditional/island flavor). Guava flavored syrup was another option. These pancakes were the best! Service was quick - You pay at the register. Recommend coming here to take a nice morning walk away from the resorts.

Princess V.

Yelp
This place is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. We came around 8 am and were seated 15 min later. Have to have the whole party with you or they will not seat you. The reception is downstairs while the dining area with indoor and outdoor area is upstairs. There's a waitlist when you arrive. We ordered loco moco, pancakes with Mac nut, whipped cream and fresh pineapples, crepes, eggs Benedict with Portuguese sausage, and corned beef hash omelette. The loco moco was delicious we upgraded to the fried rice and it was great. The pancakes were so good! My favorite. The crepes were good as well while the omelette was okay. The eggs Benedict was great! They have guava, coconut, and maple syrup on the table. Service was fast and friendly. We really enjoyed having our breakfast here before walking around in Waikiki.

Kylee O.

Yelp
Came here this morning for breakfast before our flight home. It was a nice simple meal nothing too special. This is my second time here and it was a quick in and out meal. I ordered the fried rice and eggs off of the special menu. The rice was a little more mushy than I would have liked but it did have good flavor and was priced at around $14. My boyfriend ordered the meat and eggs in which the ham was huge (about half size of the plate). He said it tasted very soggy and oily just like bacon. Overall both means were just okay nothing too memorable. The price point was great it was about $30 for our breakfast. They usually have a wait even on weekdays so it's nice that you can just add yourself to the yelp waitlist without coming in person to put your name down!

Cassie N.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast spot with quick and friendly Diner service. Wait is often very long on the weekends, but the Yelp waitlist is a great option. Pancakes and POG juice are top Tier !

DeAnna G.

Yelp
We waited over 40 minutes, but there are outdoor benches and they text you updates. Bathrooms are downstairs Seating is upstairs. Service is friendly and fairly quick. I ordered the Benedict with Hawaiian taro toll, kaluha pork, and spinach, and a short stack. My son had the pineapple crepes. The Benedict was amazing!!! Eggs were fresh, nice hollandaise sauce that didn't overpower the pork. Huge portions that I only ate one pancake (coconut and guava syrup). My son loved his crepes and they were very large, thick, filling, with fresh crushed pineapple topped. They're really good with coffee refills. Excellent food, excellent service!

Janet L.

Yelp
busy little place, but you can join the waitlist online and it tells you how long the wait is or how many people are before you. service was great, kind and welcoming. I had the fried rice, w/side of Spam and the pancake sampler. ooooweeee those pancakes was sooo damn good!! especially with that coconut maple syrup that gave me instant diabetes lol. I was bouncing off the walls but I enjoyed every freakn bite!

Melissa F.

Yelp
Yelp Waitlist Pro Tip: "Reply 2 to confirm" is not the same as "Checkin w/full party on arrival." You must let the receptionist know when you arrive or they won't know you are ready to be seated or your name could potentially be at the top of the waitlist until it disappears.

Victoria L.

Yelp
Party of 2 - got seated right away on a Tuesday about it 9:30 am. Super cute inside and great pricing! The portions were huge and the food was great! I could see why this place fills up quick! The pancakes were some of the best we have had!

Eduardo D.

Yelp
Came in for breakfast, the food was incredible, loved the fresh fruit in the rainbow pancakes. The serving sizes are very generous, if you're not very hungry you can probably share one dish among multiple people. Staff is super helpful too! One trick is to sign up for the wait list before you arrive, the wait time can be long.

Marisabel A.

Yelp
To start off we were very lucky to join the wait list on yelp because we simply would not have come . The wait time was 1hr on a Saturday morning closer to 11 we got seated which is to be expected. We showed up about 15 minutes before our que time and were seated. It is pretty small and crowded upstairs but overall we fit well as we had a party of 5. Our drinks came fast and then we ordered. To be honest the menu forces you to order separate if you want meats, potatoes or eggs with your specialty plate ie. French toast waffles etc which is pretty pricey. The eggs were not worth ordering but overall everything else was good . I got the pineapple whip on my pancakes an açaí bowl my husband got the fresh fruit sweet bread chocolate chip pancakes and açaí mochi waffles . It was all good ! The waitress was very nice and everything came out fresh and quick !

Lauren B.

Yelp
We wanted to give eggs 'n things a try during our trip to Waikiki as we've heard about it being a long time staple, so we stopped by on a Monday morning around 8am. There was approximately ~30 mins wait. Once we were seated, our order was taken fairly quickly. We ordered the Plantation Pork Chop & Eggs, Breakfast Meat 'N Eggs (spam), fresh guava juice, and a coffee. Overall the food was average. I went in with high expectations and really felt that I was let down. The scrambled eggs on the Breakfast Meat 'N Eggs dish tasted off - it tasted stale/not fresh. It is an easy dish and hard to mess up, but feel like it didn't hit the mark (mcd does it better). The pork chop was better and I will say the portion size is pretty large on it if you opt for pancakes. I did really enjoy that they served fresh guava juice, which is often hard to come by! I don't like that there are two fees potentially at the end your bill. One is for the 3% kitchen fee and another for a 3% credit card fee. I am more understanding of the 3% kitchen fee, but find the additional 3% credit card fee a bit ridiculous for a restaurant of their capacity and having multiple locations. If it is an incentive to have customers pay in cash only, not a fan.

Dina M.

Yelp
Amazing Mac nut and fruit pancakes! Long wait in the morning but worth it. Sign in them walk around the beach while you wait.

T S.

Yelp
We got in line using the waitlist, we were seated within 10 minutes of checkin. We had a party of 6. The food was tasty and vibe was chill. Easy to walk to from nearby hotels. Everyone was very friendly.

Rae C.

Yelp
Visited here on vacation! Very small and not the most appealing ambience but the service was great and food was tasty. I ordered the Hawaiian loco moco and it did not disappoint. Wish there was a way they could keep the birds out but they do put up signs to not feed them!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
You'll definitely want to wake up early for this breakfast spot! Join the waitlist asap! The macadamia nut ube pancakes were AMAZING! Fluffy, flavorful and filling. We also got the island style fried rice.

Becky E.

Yelp
Great Food & Service- worth the wait but if you can get online and "get in line" reservations/ registration for advance check in. We've eaten here many times- crab cake or Portuguese sausage Benedict- both wonderful & pancakes either banana macadamia or the Hawaiian sampler- large portions with amazing whipped cream- coconut syrup is out of this world & we always get a bottle to take home. Definitely recommend Eggs & Things for breakfast

Cheol K.

Yelp
Located in Waikiki, this is a popular spot for breakfast. You check in downstairs next to the gift shop. Thankfully we got here after they opened so there was no line. Upstairs is the restaurant and tables. I ordered the boneless kalbi and eggs. It came with home fried potatoes. The kalbi was deliciously seasoned and the potatoes were crispy and flavorful. Eggs were ordered over easy and were cooked perfectly. Amazing food and friendly service.

Craig T.

Yelp
This morning got up early and decided to have breakfast at Eggs n Things located on Saratoga Rd. Surprised I had to wait only 10mins but I guess it was at 7:30am all the tourists is still sleeping. When I left the place there was lot of people waiting so I guess the trick is early the better . I had their eggs and choice of meat went with Portuguese sausage. Also either rice, hash brown or short stack. Went with the pancakes and their pancakes was on the heavier side not light and fluffy more like lots of batter mix. When my tab finally came well of course there was a surcharge for kitchen help and that's my pet peeve . But I guess it's Waikiki ? Support local

Kristen E.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast with plenty of options and very filling! Bacon cheese and egg omelet. Ahi , eggs and rice.

Tailer D.

Yelp
Eggs n things is a cute but small breakfast spot. They have all the usuals plus some with a twist. Service was friendly and location was pretty, across from a park. The coconut syrup was my favorite. Prices are average for the area. There can be a wait and is smart to check in beforehand. There is a gift shop below for souvenirs or window shopping to pass the time.

Trey G.

Yelp
Pancakes were awesome piled high with whipped cream. Crabcake eggs Benedict was pretty good too. I also appreciated that they were donating to Alzheimer's research with every purchase of ube pancakes. Service was sharp for a full Saturday morning close to brunch and the wait wasn't too bad.
