The 42 Best Restaurants in Rome

"It's impossible not to eat carbonara in Rome, and most locals will say they'll never tire of the city's most beloved pasta. Enter Eggs, which has dozen variations. Served in a glass jar, the original with guanciale is quite possibly the best we’ve had in Rome; and don't sleep on the hen eggs, emptied and filled with ingredients like caviar, chives, and potatoes or salted egg nog and black truffle. Save room for the crème brûlée served in tiny glass pots, or go for the decadently sweet zabaglione, served with wafer-thin biscuits to scoop it all up." - Maresa Manara

Extensive menu and very tasty options, I had vegetarian carbonara with zucchini and a delicious egg and Cacio starter. Midweek and quiet when we went as it was early evening. Recommend if you're in Trastevere.

If you love eggs but not only them you could have it here in insteresting and attractive way. Of course, we tried the egg game and I recommend. Carbonara with zucchini flowers was a modest diversion from classic carbonara if you want to experiment but not risk too much surprise. The tiramisu was good although I prefer when the biscuit is less dry. I would say that the atmosphere, serving and attentive staff are other aspects that contribute to my very positive impression.

Pleasantly surprised all through the meal - a standout highlight from our trip. The staff are fabulous for seating us at 6pm on a busy Friday without a reservation because we were super keen to try and were good to leave by 7pm. They were very patient, and the dishes are innovative and delicious. Try the Eggs Game, any variation of the carbonara, and the yoghurt mousse.

Had hoped to be better. Had the 62 degree appetizer; was covered in a cream sauce overwhelmed to delicate dish. Do not recommend. Nero carbonara was good but I’ve had much better. Wine was good.

It Is a Amazing Place, you can eat all the traditional Italian food with a twist! Lots of choices an really strange versions of typical Italian food served in a fancy/cozy place. If you want to try tradition in a modern way it is a must

We’ve been here many times because it is inventive, delicious and always inviting. The mini eggs appetizer is a delight, and the carbonara and other pastas and main dishes delicious. Great wine list, lovely space, helpful and nice staff make it a friendly meal to remember.

Really lovely brunch, nice friendly service, good food. Sat outside which was lovely, went inside to use the facilities and it really was quite beautiful 😍
