Egyptian Motor Hotel BW Signature Collection

If you're in Phoenix for the night or a week, this location is the place to go! The rooms are so uniquely designed and decorated, ours had a full-size fridge and a small microwave, a cute round chair, the bathrooms were retro style. It's just a must try you won't regret it! The outside bar fire pits pools and setting area is like no other place I've seen! THE INSIDE BARTENDER was friendly, social, and made the very best drinks! Trust him!

Rooms were great and love the vibe. We had trouble at check because key reader was not cooperating but they communicated everything and the service was amazing. Great stay and thank you Murphy for the morning coffee and the water jug fill! You made the experience great in spite of tech issues! Give her a raise for keeping everyone satisfied while the issues happened.

***BUYER BEWARE*** This is the first bad review I have ever written, and what's motivated me to write it is that this was the worst hotel experience we've ever had. First and foremost, we received over a dozen bed bug bites during and immediately after our stay here. When we contacted hotel management to report the problem, we were ignored. Finally, after much desperate hounding, the manager got back to us and told us that she looked in the room and "didn't see anything." Funny enough, that was our mistake too. We didn't see the bed bugs as they were noshing on arms and hands while we were sleeping. The room itself was quite dirty. Upon first entering, it looked fine, but then we noticed the musty/mildewy smell, and then the rust colored stains on the bedding, and then the sticky floors that dirtied our socks, and then the dirty cups, and, as a bonus, some mysterious hair on the pillows. One or two of these things would not be a huge deal, but all together-- it does not inspire confidence. I would love to save anyone the money, energy, and nightmare, and suggest that you stay somewhere else.

We picked this place as being walkable to the downtown area and affordable. It was an easy uber from the airport. However we had to pay extra to check in, even though the rooms were available and housekeeping is only done on request. The room itself is cute but the flooring is terrible with holes and divots everywhere, the closet rack is broken, and it wasn’t well cleaned with hair in the water pitcher. There is no fan in the bathroom and only a tiny window to vent after a shower. Room quickly got muggy. I appreciated the mirror and area outside the bathroom given the limited counter space in the bathroom. Also appreciated having a table and chairs to eat with a large fridge but no freezer space. Each room is also given a huge speaker which means on the weekend our neighbors on both sides were blasting music all night and on Sunday night the bar, even though it wasn’t open also had music on super loud-but only provided one set of ear plugs. It looks like a fun party place in the summer with a great community patio area and bar with a pool but if you want a good nights sleep could probably stay elsewhere.

Great little place to stay near DTNPHX. The staff were awesome and very helpful, pointing us to some great dive bars nearby. Rooms were very cool & retro. We stayed in Jan, so the only amenity we used was the fire pit. Pool and outside bar looked nice, but they weren't being used due to the cool temps.

This hotel was so much fun. The outdoor space is great. Cornhole, foosball, outdoor tv screens, fire pit areas, and great seating areas. The outdoor bar was not open during our stay, but one of the friendly staff shared photos and a video of some special outdoor events. With being an old converted motel, the room came well equipped with refrigerator, microwave, and many extras. Cutely designed. We will definitely be back.

The rooms were very comfortable and niche decorating. I went for a Marijuana festival they had in the parking lot and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Also loved that they are aware of their location and how sound affects people differently and LOVED that they provided ear plugs. Sometimes it's the little things that matter most.

The hotel is uniquely decored but that where it ends. The on site restaurant was unavailable due to no reservations so I had to Doordash all my food so there was only a McDonalds within walking distance. There was coffee and pastries offered on my last day. The coffee was over priced and the Pastry was dry and tastless. The internet was slow and intermittent. I asked for some fresh towels and the staff didn't take the old towels away. I did not feel like as guest at all.

What a cool hotel/motel! I will have to come back for an event as I'm sure we stayed during a slow weekend in winter. The rooms are fantastic. Theming is beautiful. The pool area (it's more of a wading pool) is such a photo friendly spot. I would absolutely love to spend a hot phoenix day in that area. Location is excellent. Staff is friendly. No events were going on at the time so I'm not sure how loud it gets, but I imagine it's a good time! I'd recommend staying here if you want a unique stay in Phoenix close to lots of things to do downtown. We stayed here because we had a concert at Phoenix to go to (and the hotel was on my personal bucket list) the best thing about it was the theming, truly epic. Rooms were very clean, beds very comfortable. We got a good nights rest.

Great rates, great rooms and location. There were no events in the yard so it was pretty quiet. The restaurant is exceptional.

My wife and I stayed at the Egyptian after a concert at the Van Buren. The cost was reasonable and accommodations easy to make right at the window, thank you Tamara. I found the room to be clean and quiet and I tend to like the 1950's styling. My wife even woke up to do a cold plunge in the pool Friday morning.

This place screams cool all over! - From the music the outside yard, and room decor. The room was cozy and clean. I loved the rain spout in the shower! Great atmosphere. If you're looking for good, unique food, check out the restaurant also!

Do not stay here, they had music so loud we could not sleep and a party full of non-hotel guest

Booked a room off of hotels.com. Pictures looked wonder full. When we arrived we checked in at a window on the side walk. This place does not have a indoor office to check into. After getting our keys we went to our room. Rooms have that retro look which was cool. We were tired so we went to bed . After we woke up is when we saw all the problems with this room. Bathroom had pubic hairs on the wall, floor was spongy as if you're gonna fall through. Towels had stains and they just folded them put back on the shelf. The TV only streams free TV apps. No cable television. Overall this place was a big let down.

Really cool, retro motel. Alise, the bartender was awesome! Cool vibes. outdoor games, clean, fun rooms!

Disclaimer: I did not actually have an overnight stay at the hotel (but would like to, sometime, hopefully as a staycation during First Friday). I did however tour one of the rooms to get a feel for it, and have eaten at the restaurant on the premises, Chilte, which is amazing. I can speak for the staff at the reception, which is super-friendly. The rooms have the perfect mix of retro and modern. They look comfy and the aesthetics are perfect! I love that you can choose to book a room with bunk beds and that there is an option to rent the airstream that's on the property. Plenty of live entertainment options available on weekends, ranging from live music to comedy or magic shows. The restaurant alone is 100% worth a visit - the decor is on point and the food is amazing. This would be a great place to stay if you're in town for First Friday, which takes place in the arts districts and neighborhoods of Phoenix the first Friday of each month, as all the action would be within walking distance.

A super cute concept. We were checked in by the front desk supervisor. She gave us all of the information we needed for our stay. There is plenty of outdoor seating and they have live music on certain nights. Room was very clean. We did have a few outlets that didn't work. I loved all the special touches in the room, a small cooler, magic 8 ball, speaker. Didn't get to try the restaurant unfortunately.

We stayed here for the first time back in March. Super cute and retro. Once we got home, we ended up with about $300 total in random fraudulent charges coming through, all listed as Egyptian Motor Hotel. We thought our mistake was using our card at the bar, which was only 1 night for $72. We thought the bartender's jacked our card number, rang up a bunch of fake drinks and tipped themselves. It took MONTHS to resolve, like 4-5 months, and we still didn't get back like $40 of it that's was owed to us. Stayed there again last week from November 18th-22nd. All nights were on rewards points. We had to give them our card for incidentals and $15/night parking. So our total bill should've been $60. Nope. They just keep coming. We now have $339 and counting in fraudulent charges, again all listed as Egyptian Motor Hotel. The most recent one for $160.22 came YESTERDAY. WE LEFT 4 DAYS BEFORE THAT. I called there today and asked to speak to a manager. The woman that answered the phone asked me what it was regarding, and I explained the whole situation to her, and that we had this same issue 9 months ago. I sat there for literally 15 minutes just listening to her clicking her computer, and finally I said "Are we getting anywhere? Because I have to get back to work." She told me she'd have the manager call me. That was almost 7 hours ago, not a word. After our stay there in March, a friend of ours was going to be hanging out there for an event a few weeks later. We told him "DO NOT USE YOUR CARD AT THE BAR! PAY WITH CASH!" Well, one of his friends didn't listen and used his card. Ended up with $300-400 in fraudulent charges. When he called them to see what the deal was, they told him that was the charge for his room. He was like "I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A ROOM! I WAS ONLY THERE FOR THE EVENT!" It's really too bad because we love the location and the whole funky, retro vibe. But NEVER AGAIN. NEEEEEVERRRRR.

This is a cool little hotel. They have a restaurant attached where you also check-in. They have an outside bar on the grounds which it nice if you don't want to go out but still want a drink. There is paid parking. They also have a fire pit and outside games. The decor is retro and quirky. I'd definitely stay again when I am in town.

This place was clean and a whole vibe. They have great food at Chilte and the room itself was super cute and had all we needed-- even a speaker.

This hotel is amazing! It has a very cool vibe and atmosphere. Tonka helped us check in and he was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. Highly recommend staying here.

. this place because wr had to get a plane in the morning and I-17 was closed due to construction. I chose this place because I have BEST WESTERN POINTS. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary. What a marvelous Kick off to our Trip. We were amazed at the modern/retro motif, i just wanted a place to rest my head, now I want to come back more often. Attention to detail was well planned for this down town desert gem. I cant say enough ...words cant describe it. You need to see it for yourself. The bar area was wonderful with music, open air seating, corn hole game and happy staff. Thank you Ash, Chris & Phoebe for making our anniversary kick off to a fantastic start.

This cute little hole in the wall coffee shop has so much charm. Great decorations, plenty of seating, and great sunlight in the morning. The vibe changed when we ordered at the counter with the hotel clerk that also doubles as a barista. This was a red flag but we continued to get a cappuccino. This is not a place for coffee lovers. After the shot pulled in just under a minute and the coffee was steamed with the milk in the cup it was going to served in we knew that we were out of luck. The quality of the coffee matched this quirky experience. Great Vibes, not great coffee.

This place has awesome events! Had a fun time! Great atmosphere and close to downtown and Sky Harbor Airport. I was impressed by the style of rooms, even though we were only visiting and did not stay here. I would recommend.

I definitely give it five stars we found it totally by mistake. We stayed here for four days four nights, and it was so fun. And you have to try the quiche for breakfast it was delicious. I'll be back here for spring training to watch the Angels and I'll be staying here at the Egyptian. Can't wait to come back.

I was here for a couple of days to hang out and enjoy the vibe at this fully refurbished motel near downtown center.. the area is a little sketch they even had to toss out a homeless dude trying to sleep by the pool‍The rooms were dope , very clean and vintage furniture with the ponchos instead of robes were a cool touch.The bar area and DJ outside were top notch with very stiff drinks .The staff for the most part were very friendly and helpful with the exception of the older woman in front that never smiled and always seemed bothered. Idk maybe she was having a rough weekend. Also there's no cable!!if you want to watch tv bring something to hook up to their otherwise useless tv. I called the front desk to ask how to get any channels.if maybe they rented Apple TV boxes or something and was told by the unsmiling woman if you want tv download the Pluto app on your phone .. umm ok thanks I guess.other than that and a spider bite I got from sitting in the courtyard (remember you're in the desert with critters) it was overall a great few days .. I'll definitely be back and when I do maybe that woman will finally have a smile and a more welcoming attitude

It's a great hotel but the room needed some cleaning especially the bathroom I was not happy with the hair that was in the shower. Then the floor was completely dirty.

Older hotel that has been renovated in a retro theme. Room is clean. Bathroom is clean. I would stay here again.

Sweet little spot with delicious breakfast pastries and a nice coffee roast. Service is a bit Gen Z. Worth giving them a 2nd chance because of the charming ambiance.

I loved it here. Had to be 6 shots in to enjoy the place but hey, had a great night. Love the staff!

Drinks were expensive. Two speakers facing the street, so the music is loudest AT THE BAR? Literally had to yell my order. A few outdoor games and outdoor heaters. Bar front is also the area where you access your hotel room? I can't imagine that going well. Would be better if they had a better sound system, but I'm hopeful that will come in time when they get more revenue. Service was ok at best. Wish I could have written a better review but the sound system being so loud at the bar, and nowhere else kind of overshadowed my experience.

This is an eclectic place. When you first pull up, you are a little nervous. However the staff was very nice. It is on a main road so there is street noise, the do have an outdoor bar and entertainment area so it is louder than normal however they do recommend ear plugs when you check in. If you are a little further away from the entertainment area, the sound isn't as loud. The rooms are retro decorated, a Great Wall design of Jim Morrison formed by The Doors songs. Bathroom is tiny but it does what is needed.

Kai is THE most phenomenal bartender and just over all advocate for this establishment! This place is 100% revamped and NEEDS to be visited. From a fellow resort owner these people know what they are doing. Inviting atmosphere, excellent food, excellent staff, excellent customer service. You won't be disappointed.

Nice little room within walking distance of lots of cool spots downtown. I was a little concerned about leaving my motorcycle parked out front over night and the staff was nice enough to let me park it inside the fenced bar area. I'd definitely stay again!

This place is great if you love sleeping withouut blankets! i havs profusely and stickly asked 3 times for a so called "blanket" and they gave me absolutely nothing saying they will give them soon.

this place is absolutely horrible... i asked for a blanket and they said okay i'll bring it soon. I waited and waited and then i decided to walk back down. I told them I still haven't received a blanket and the woman at the counter said she would bring it and have it to me in about "5 mins " . It's been like 30 minutes and i still don't have a blanket. i just want to be warm. I wish they would take me seriously but that jusy shows

Beware. Do not stay here if you wish to sleep before 2am. Every room in this 2-story motel opens to an outdoor bar and concert stage. Complete with metal truss and amps and speakers. This is newly renovated and intended to be a party hotel. The bass was so intense at times, it literally shook the door on the hinges. They have a live band or DJ scheduled every night of the week, and the music continues till 2am with a bouncer to admit crowds of outside guests. Management does NOT prioritize overnight guest experience. This should be advertised as a club/concert venue (with beds for those who wish to crash after partying at 2am). It should not be advertised as a hotel to unsuspecting visitors to Phoenix. To do so is fraudulent and misleading, stranding guests once they've already checked-in with no idea what they've signed-up for. We experienced two nights of an exhausting, horrible stay.
