Eichardt's Pub Grill & Coffee

I crafted a road trip to Sandpoint, Idaho and upon check-in of my hotel, the front desk clerk recommended Eichardt’s - it was more than I could have ever imagined! First off this place does not immediately give you “we serve amazing food” vibes. It has a cozy-local pub feel with what you would anticipate would be pub food. It also offers a small live band that sounds fantastic! They definitely have every beer/ IPA imaginable minus any liquor. (PS. I did have a glass of Prosecco since I was in vacation mode) I’m not sure if it was the fact that I rarely rarely drink or if it was simply just amazing Prosecco, but it was delicious. I decided on cheese ravioli with their season grilled chicken.. OMG!!!! All I can say is that meal was one of the BEST! The cesar salad was not without its merits either, so scrumptious! The staff were also very polite. I can’t encourage this place enough so if you find yourself in the Sandpoint area, make it a point to try it!! (Haha) Marvelous! 💫💫💫

This is our go-to date night spot. We love them. The servers are awesome and the vibe is funky, intimate and always interesting! Definitely a locals spot. My personal favorite is the yellow curry with tofu and extra veg, salmon sandwich or whatever fish special they serve that night. Husband loves garlic fries, ravioli with blackened chicken or the burger. Live music is always good, and even though we don’t drink we have a great time! Thanks Lindy and Doug for always making date night awesome!

We are so glad we happened upon this little gem when another local restaurant turned us away from sitting outside due to them being short-staffed (we had our dog). The food here is SUPERB! Delicious, fresh, real, flavorful. The vibe is super awesome and the people were all smiling and nice. We will definitely be back and make this our new post-mountain bike recovery meal spot!!

We were a group of 9 and arrived at 630pm On a Friday. We were worried about the wait for a table but moved upstairs and found one easily. Our group got drinks and by the time we had worked through our first round we scored a set of tables on the mainfloor & were able to catch the band. Everyone loved their food x drink. I in particular had the on tap Hazy IPA and a Bacon Cheese Burger w/fries. Delicious! I was so full I couldn’t finish the fries. Shoutout to Casey, our bartender & primary person throughout out evening. He was kind, courteous and juggled our large group like a champ. We will 100% be back. 10/10 experience.

Really great place. Food was amazing, great drink selection, great staff and service, and they do live music regularly. What more could you want?

The atmosphere is quirky and endearing, the product of a long-developed collection of odds, ends, and tap handles hanging from the ceiling. The food is fantastic! Eclectic and flavorful, always consistent. Just a great place to hang out and eat!

Monday night Blues Jam is great! Love all the very talented musicians!! The food was very good!! I wish we lived closer, we would go every Monday! Get there early to get a table and good parking, music starts at 7. But shhhh don't tell anyone!!!!

Absolutely love, the people, the food, and the atmosphere at Eichardt's. Ordered the fish and chips. Absolutely amazing. But if you are really gonna take to heart a Yelp review... Trust me on this one. Get the fish and chips and share it! There is so much food that two people can eat it and still have leftovers! No need to get two meals when you only need to order one! Spend your savings on a couple good pints !

The fish and chips were great, absolutely loved the garlic friends. Also ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was delicious, although it could have used a bit more prime rib. Prime rib came with a side of clam chowder and it was some of the best I have ever tasted! All around a great place and would definitely return.

This place is awesome! One night it's live music , the next it could be a relaxing night out. The food is really good and has quite the variety. If you are in the area after golf or after Schweitzer it is well worth your time!

They overcharged us on the bill by over $50. Didn't realize until we left town. I should've noticed but still. They charge you for things you didn't order. And they aren't the nicest people. Service almost always WITHOUT a smile. Be careful!

Food quality / price (value) rating 9. The atmosphere is an eclectic pub. We only had nachos and a couple drinks at the bar, so I can't comment on a real lunch or dinner. The nachos were made with house made corn chip which is unheard of. They were thin, crisp, and bubbly. Very unusual. They also have a nice list of draught beers to choose from. They have a tap-handle collection hanging from the ceiling of about 600 handles. Very cool. The menu is pretty standard pub fare, and the prices are lower than competitors in the immediate area. Service was good. They offer live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays. We'd definitely come back.

This was a very good place to eat! My boyfriend's family and I fit comfortably upstairs, with 10+ people they could accommodate for big parties. Lots of cool signage and trinkets along the walls, felt very local. The workers were nice and attentive, considering it was busy during the time we went as well. They had some good beers, but their garlic Parmesan fries were super yummy too! It was a big of a long wait but most of us ordered the fish and chips, which were delicious as well. They have a lot of card games and other little games like darts upstairs, which we played a big round of Uno while we waited for our food. The bathroom is tiny, sticky, and small, but I guess that is what to expect with a pub/brewery atmosphere like this one! Overall a great experience, nothing too fancy and over the top but it was still a delicious meal!

Tried this place out tonight. I heard from family that it is amazing. I love the decor and vibe of the place. Menu looked like it had plenty of tasty options. They are either short staffed or that is how they do things. Drink refills are conducted by going downstairs to get them. My family enjoyed their meals but weren't thrilled by them. The staff was cool and friendly. We only interacted with the staff when we ordered, and when we went to get our refills. I rated everything 3 stars because of the whole experience and processing it through my mental restaurant filter. I like this place but will have to try again before I would recommend it to others. I don't think you will have a bad time or bad food here. It's good, but I'm going to try again to fully form my opinion. (Our bill came to $99 -4 people). I feel that is a tad high for our experience.

Great friendly service! The food was delicious and they also cooked a K9 burger patty for my pup! Love the dog friendly patio.

Wow! I didn't even know service could get that bad. We waited over an hour and a half hour food on a Sunday and when we asked the server to let us know how much longer our food would be, because we had already been waiting, he told us that we needed to leave, and he didn't even have to cook our food if he didn't want to. His name was Kasey and because of him I will never be back. I've been there many times over the last few years and even though the service has been amazing otherwise, my experience with him will deter me and every person I know from ever returning to this restaurant. I hope they fire him because he's going to run this restaurant into the ground. It is absolutely not OK to treat people like that regardless of the circumstances.

Came here after leaving another restaurant for not having enough options, and boy did Eichardts deliver! My husband got the brie cheese burger and i got Parmesan and garlic fries with chicken tenders....SO delicious! The atmosphere was interesting, but it was an overall great experience!! Service was quick and food was delicious. Definitely will come back!

My favorite hangout in town. Great music, beer on tap and excellent food! Strong list of regional beers on tap, I usually go on Monday nights which is Blues night. Great local talent, a few of the regular guitarists are really something! As for the food, the best I've had in the Panhandle. Working my way through the menu and always test out nightly specials. I have never had a bad meal, everything is really good, My favorite is the Chicken Masala, best I have ever had.

I read the reviews and that's what lead me to this place. I showed up at lunch. The lunch menu is very limited. I decided on fish and chips due to the limited menu. I wouldn't order them again. Fish was over cooked by a long shot. Nothing special about the fires. Eichardt's is a nice place, nice ambiance, the staff was super nice. I'll definitely try a few beers and dinner here someday, but I won't be back for the lunch.

OMG! We were there on a Friday night. I ordered one of the specials: Linguine with clam sauce. Truly.., the best I've ever had. It was made with bacon, and a bit of Dijon mustard. It had plenty of clams. It was AMAZING. We don't live nearby, but whenever we are in Sandpoint, we stop in. We've always enjoyed the food and the beers on tap. Great pub!

Food was great, not a lot of room but service was great and great live jazz music. Garlic fries, burger and beer were very good!

Perhaps it's they are short of help, which I understand, but last night we waited at the door for 10 minutes and No one helped us. I went to the bar to ask if it was open seating, which he said it was. We sat down and no one Came or even acknowledged us for a good 20 minutes. We left. I understand busy but a simple nod and "be with right you" would have been appreciated. Poor customer service for a repeat customer who sends all of my vacation rental clients. :(

Locals choice for great food! The owners are the chefs I believe. They have specials that come out at 4 and never disappoint. The garlic fries are a good starter you only need the 1/2 order in my opinion.

This is such a great place. The food is amazing and served by friendly staff that makes sure you are completely satisfied. Great ambience, nice music, and good drinks. Definitely a go to any time you're in Sandpoint.

This is the 3rd time I have visited this establishment. It's a smaller place but quite cozy and has a "wrapped in a warm blanket in front of a fire" feeling. As you enter there is a heavy curtain to pass through as to not blow cold gusts of air onto patrons seated at the bar! The ceiling is decorated with hundreds of tap handles which helps with the sound dampening and cozy effect. The lighting is dim and soft and the music is unobtrusive and enjoyable for most any taste. It's very hard to explain but, sort of like upscaled elevator music of the 70s and 80s genre. They also have live music on selected nights as well. Service is very friendly and personable and the food is excellent! You can tell they use quality ingredients and many things are made from scratch! . They have local elk, use Wood's burger (also local), and have a decent selection of beer with a few rotating taps. The buns aren't your typical fluffy Franz style but perfectly grilled and hearty. The only thing I wish is that they were more generous with the fries. The chili was good but the bowl was more the size of a cup. No leftovers to bring home here but definitely worth it for the quality. This is also one of the only places you seem to be able to get non-chain restaurant quality food later at night. We will be returing.

Stopped by for a beer after skiing based on a recommendation from a local. Small beer selection but they serve what they have cold! Didn't eat but could smell the fish they were preparing. Halibut for $28. Dark, cozy almost dive bar. Live music rocks the house on weekends, so Check the schedule.

We have been coming here for years and came on a Sunday evening and waited over an hour and a half for food and when we asked what was taking so long, Casey asked us to come out back so he could tell us why we had to leave. He told us to get the *** out. He is the biggest a****** I've ever met in my life and if anybody goes there I hope they don't have him as a server. Other than that we have always had great service, but because of him, we will never be back.

I used to eat a couple salads here that were always amazing. But last time I ate here it wasn't that great.

Eichardt's is a great little place for a good, draft, craft beer, a glass of wine and good food in the form of great snacks, burgers or full meals. They have a great vibe and live music on Mondays. The eclectic art and the taps hanging from the ceiling complete the atmosphere.

Great entertainment and customer service. Our server, Doug was great even with jokes (which seems to come by hard these days). Was a party of 5 last night and no one was disappointed! Will return for sure!

LOVE this place. It has a local quirkiness that makes it fun. It has been busy and delicious every time we've been. Considering that staffing has been very difficult during this pandemic ( every place in town is desperate for workers) they did an incredible job of accommodating. The wait may be long at times ( because of staffing) so I would just ask for what to expect - the food is definitely worth it!! Love the zucchini wrap, the garlic fries are a must and the chicken Mediterranean sandwich is an awesome blend of flavors The live music makes for a fun vibe... and, don't miss the upstairs game room while you wait ( shuffle board, ping pong, darts...)

Live music, great beer! What more can you ask for? Highly recommend this place for a smooth relaxing night in Sandpoint. This is a Dive Bar and everything that you expect one to be. Come in, grab a drink and make some memories!

WORST SERVICE EVER x3 My husband and I always give places the benefit of the doubt but I won't return to Eichardts. My daughter and i were ignored by the bartender the first time we were there and had to ask three times for a drink. My husband and I went back a second time and the same thing happened. Tonight the bartender really couldn't have tried harder to ignore us. The food is amazing but the service is horrible and detracts from the visit. All 3x we sat at the bar. I will not recommend. EVER!

I've been coming to this pub forever. It has the feel of pubs in Ireland- dark, cozy, music, beer.... Their chicken peanut salad is my absolute favorite, ( if I was on death row it would probably be my last meal ) it is followed closely by chicken Marsala and pretty much everything else on the menu. Do yourself a solid and pop on in- you won't regret it!

The menu prices have just about doubled in the past 6 months to where I won't eat there anymore. Service is great, music is usually great, just cannot afford an $18 salad.

Stopped in on a nice Friday afternoon to grab a couple beers -- love the old school pub atmosphere -- folks are always friendly and engaging-- didn't expect a remarkable dinner special?! Had a wonderful halibut with a great puttanesca sauce! Was certain from the description on the specials board that it would be great - and it was! Nice job!! Always a good selection of beers and the hot wings were quite good as well!!

As soon as you walk into Eichardt's you think to yourself, "Yes! This is exactly the type of bar I was looking for." Great atmosphere, friendly faces and the food coming out of the kitchen looked scrumptious. My wife, son (10) and I were there on a Sunday night to grab a beer and something to eat. My son got the grilled cheese and fries, wife got a veggie melt in a wrap with salmon and I got the chicken parmesan with a side salad. I'll first tell you how amazing the food was. Everything that was brought out took a bit longer than expected but the wait was worth it. The food was delicious. By the way, I had a Star Dust IPA to compliment my meal which was delicious. With that said, my wife never got her salmon in her wrap and I begged them to BURN my son's fries, which came out limp like regular fries. I could have sent it back but I didn't. Everything was blamed on a "new cook". As a customer, I don't care to hear about whose fault it is, I just expect it to be right. I don't want it to sound like my review is encouraging anyone to stay away. On the contrary, I think this place was awesome with a few minor setbacks. I would definitely go back.

We are from out of town and absolutely loved this place. The gentleman running it served us great beer, wine and food. They were like a well oiled machine that served us. My wife said it was like a beautiful ballet. The seafood dinner we got was spectacular. We sat at the bar and the gentleman serving us, Bob, was ontop of everything we needed. And the Monday night music was awesome.

We decided to drop in here last night to see if they could accommodate a 8:45pm dinner for 7 with 3 kids. We were welcomed in from Tammy Burly and she said she could be flexible to make anything kid friendly. She was the best server I've had in a restaurant. She gave us an excellent recommendation to have the chicken Marsala. We also had the garlic fries....YUM, and the French dip. They had a great live musician playing guitar and the ambiance was perfect. We can't wait for our next trip to Sandpoint to stop in again. We'll tell anyone we know to stop here to eat and say hi to Burly. She was the best host!

I realize it is hard to get employees post covid. However I walked in and sat at the bar to order food and drink. The customer beside me said "wow. Busy in here." Bob, the person behind the bar said..and I quote "this is the new norm and we will probably close in an hour cuz I'm sick of this shit" I am a local in a tourist town and was disgusted by how rude Bob was. Needless to say, I left without ordering. From the comments made, I don't think "Bob" need my business.

Wonderful find at the edge of Sandpoint! Everything on the menu is customizable for dietary requirements. This is far and above normal bar food. I had salmon penne (oh yes!) and the husband had fish and chips. The chips were the most amazing garlic Parmesan cheese fries. And the tartar sauce was a homemade aoli. Soooooooo good. We would totally stop here again given the chance.

Truly can say I will never return to this establishment. Walked in and the hostess did not greet us, even though there were only two other patrons there. When we sat down, she got off the bar stool and handed us menus. She seemed upset that we had come in and interrupted her conversation. The waiter seemed annoyed when he came to take our order. We ordered drinks, and the food was OK. The busboy was the only high point of our experience here. Everyone should take a lesson from him. Everything is an up charge here. Charged for a plate, that we did not request. Ranch dressing for our fries, up charge also. I always am courteous. Always a thank you to anyone that is serving me. We have just moved here, and I will never recommend this place, and will never return. This is the first bad yelp review that I have ever written Btw.

I'd like to upgrade my review to 4.5 stars (gotta keep my fives down, ya'll!) Came in here last night (it was a Sunday) at about 9:30pm, received prompt service and the food arrived surprisingly fast. I got a braggadocious barley wine on cask (only place in Sandpoint with cask beer...heck, there is only one place in Spokane with cask ale). I had to drive back to Spokane and wasn't up for a full 12 ounces of this brew, so they let me get a 6 ounce pour of it! My friend and I both got burgers. She got a Cajun blue cheese beef burger and I got an elk* garlic burger, both were FANTASTIC. We had been hiking all day and the salads were...breathtaking. This is one of the most bodacious dinner salads I have ever seen! (we also got blue cheese and garlic dressings on our salads respectively...) I will definitely be coming back here again. Only negatives are: - Kind of expensive, but I suppose that's to be expected of a tourist town. And really, I don't mind paying a bit more if the food is tasty. (it is) - They have more good beer on tap than towns many times their size. This sucks for me because I often have to drive back to Spokanistan and I'm not too fond of injuring myself/others/deer/property on my drive home. *like many places in the Inland NWish region of North America, you have many different options for your burger meat. I like this.

It's the service I had makes the experience memorable. Monday night is open mic night for any musician to join, and joint they do! The music is fantastic however the service from the long time bartender is what makes it special. Don't know his name but he had been there for years, wears a hat and long braid/ponytail and is VERY personable. Good service is what makes a place special and this place is really something

Just a very chill local place with great beer, great food and nice people. Highly recommend! Love the ceiling tappers but the PEZ containers...even better!

Great funky place! Nice atmosphere and the service is great! Not only all that - but the menu is great and the FOOD is even GREATER!! Another plus -- it's actually OPEN past the hours of the other eating establishments in this town!!!! Would recommend giving it a try!!!

I just love Eichardt's. From the photography, art, and old fashioned signs on the walls to the wide genre of live music frequently preformed there, Eichardt's has something for everyone. I can talk about amazing the food is or how you feel you've gone into a place out of a book where the main character meets the adventurer that will help them on their quest when you first stepped inside, but I must start with the garlic fries. I have been to several restaurants that offer a variety of fries including garlic ones and none even come close. Eichardt's garlic fries are fantastic. The balance between the garlic and the fry is ideal and the fact that it tastes as good with ketchup as it does with fry sauce is true talent. Other restaurants may have garlic fries, but Eichardt's has GARLIC FRIES. They also have food. Haha just kidding. They have classic pub food, but they also have some beautiful fresh salads and savory Italian dishes. I recently ate at Eichardt's and had the ravioli and I can honestly say that it was superb. The sauce that topped it was delicious. They also have a very wide variety of burgers that one can choose from. Some of the meat is locally sourced, from places like woods meats. They have beef like you would normally expect but they also have elk burgers. I can guarantee that that's something you won't find in a New York pub. Eichardt's is not just a pub, but also a coffee house. If you ever want to take a quick hike , a person could simply go up the stairs and find another level to the restaurant. Upstairs there is a shuffle board table for you gaming pleasures and some couches by the window for people watching. When the weather is less enjoyable outside, the fireplace is turned on and gives a cozy warmth to the starving traveler. As much as I love this welcoming hideaway, the service is often unpredictable. Sometimes it will take less than 30 minuets to have several full dishes, and other times it has taken up to and above 20 minuets for a small to-go box of garlic fries. Whilst this is sometimes discouraging, I would say to people who are considering dining here to do it. It is an amazing and unique experience with original and very tastefully-tasty dining. I would highly recommended :) (I wish I had more photos to provide, but I sadly lost them all! :( )

Came in for lunch and sat right away. Great beer list and nice menu. Quesadilla , burger, soup all excellent. Server was very nice , knowledgeable and friendly.
