Very nice place to stay. This hotel, its tasteful interior, has something special what will make you feel like at home. Very clean room and bathroom, and comfortable beds. It looks as it has a good owner who takes care of details that make your stay pleasant and calm. The staff is very helpful, friendly and caring about guests. Thank you very much! We definetly recommend this quiet place to stay for families as well as for couples or individual travellers. Disliked: It is hardly possible to find something what could be improved. The hotel with its over a hundred-year traditions, has its own unique Swiss-style and professional staff (two young guys) who really know how to provide excellent service to customers. Great place, we are very happy with finding this place on Booking.

Stayed in one of the cabins and they are really nice and cosy. The best thing about this place is the breakfast though. The pancakes are delicious and the staff is so attentive so it’s always fresh eggs and bacon and pancakes for you. They’ve also got really nice dinner pancakes if you choose to eat dinner here. The price is reasonable and you get a really good value.

We stayed at the cabin. Very basic but all we needed. The heater was working. We didn’t use provided duvet but slept in our own sleeping bags instead as we did not have additional sheets to put on provided duvets that came without the covers. The location and surroundings were just magical. The air so fresh, views stunning, we could hear a waterfall which was very close. The breakfast was very fair. I recommend this place if you’d like to stay around Eidfjord area.

Lovely old house with lots of character. Stayed in main house with my 2 adult daughters. Room clean and beds comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast plentiful with good selection. Especially enjoyed the pancakes. ||The only drawback was going outside to shared showers and toilets. They are located in the basement level of the main building. But I knew that when I booked and the price was reasonable. ( for Norway)||Very close to Voringfossen ( falls) and other spectacular scenery.||I would recommend and should I be fortunate enough to ever return to Norway, I would definitely want to stay here again.

It's a bit of an oddity this place. There wasn't that great a welcome on arrival and it's a strange environment to walk into. I think it has once been an eccentric cosy place to stay but now seems to be loosing it's way a bit. The staff were very young and I don't think were locals. The pancakes were tasty and available with a choice of fillings for dinner, at an extra cost, or for part of the stay at breakfast, served plain but with jams. There is mention online to them serving the local cider, but when I asked for one the girl told me they don't stock it any more which is a shame. Breakfast was good. The room however had a funny smell and lots of flies. I asked for fly spray but there was none, so you just had to have flies in your room. The walls were also very thin, so much so you could hear snoring coming from neighbouring rooms, as well as conversations and other noises. The setting is very nice, with great scenery and is convenient for the vøringsfossen waterfall.

We slept there, and the place is nice. Rooms are nice, kitchenette is basic anyway. The only negative point is to go out of the room for the toiletts. The price is really great.||We hesitate to eat there because of the bad reviews. But the food is great. Prices are... just normal prices for Norway. ||The staff is really nice and friendly.

Kimkim had pre-arranged our driving route and overnight accommodations for us, while in Norway for a week. Our 1st overnight on the drive was in Eidfjord, after spending the day on the Flam railway. When we pulled up, our 1st reaction was how charming and perfectly placed it was. Then we walked in to be greeted by a taxidermy reindeer followed quickly by a lovely young lady to check us in to the B&B. The whole ambiance was so charming and made you feel so comfortable. They have a wonderful enclosed deck decorated quite interestingly (including the reindeer) with music playing that even added to the ambiance. We totted our luggage upstairs into a lovely quaint hallway and gazed with splendor into these lovely & charming sleeping chambers. The feel was perfect. To top the evening off, the young lady (a 20 year old) proceeded to tell us about the homemade dinner she would make for us. So we grabbed our own bottle of vin rouge and were delightfully fed a wonderful dinner prepared by this darling young lady. My wife had the sea trout (salmon) and I had the meat balls and they were AMAZING and so was my wife's meal. It was perfect, after a long days drive to Eidfjord. We then awoke to a lovely crepe (pancake) breakfast (see pics). ||The location is ideal.......located at the end of fjord across the street, a mountain with a gorgeous waterfall to the left with a farm framing it! We really enjoyed ourselves and this place was just what we were in search of!

One has to pay NOK 90 per person for bedsheets. The fuse dropped out every 30 minutes and Wifi didn't work. The house and huts are cosy though. Scenery is nice too.
