Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort

Second time staying here and had an amazing week! The room was lovely and spacious & had a nice balcony looking over the street and the Eiger mountain. Great entertainment on a Wednesday evening for the street party. Barry’s did a wonderful selection of food and the staff were lovely! Reception staff were very kind and always asked how our day was when returning to the hotel. Owner came round every morning to see how we were doing which gave a great start to each day. Breakfast selection was delicious and was always plenty to choose from. Can’t wait to come back again soon! 😊

Our experience at Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort was truly exceptional from start to finish. The location is stunning, with breathtaking mountain views that instantly put you at ease. The entire atmosphere of the resort is peaceful, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and connection with nature. What really made our stay memorable was the **incredible staff**. Every team member we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. From reception to the restaurant, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and valued. Their attention to detail and personal touches made a big difference. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and beautifully styled with a mix of modern comfort and alpine charm. This resort is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting with exceptional service. We can’t wait to come back.

No more than 3 star. Furniture with stains. Carpet with stains. Walls with holes in them. This is more like a motel. Also noisy if on the street side. Very dark and depressing room. Would not want to spend much time in it. Would never stay there again. Needs much better upkeep to be a 4-star hotel. Appears rundown. Very disappointed. The ratiing of 4.5 is very inaccurate. Do not believe it. Our mistake was that we should have complained when we were there. They told our travel agent that this was normal wear and tear in terms of furniture stains. This may bre Ok for students travelling who do not care about creature comforts. but not for someone who wants a true 4 to 4.5 star experience. It is list as 9/10 on Booking.com and Trip Advisor 4.5/5 which we do not believe. We would be wary of staying there unless you checked out the status of the room you are getting in detail.

We loved it here. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help. They were also lovely to my 7 year old son. Some days we went to ask for suggestions of what to do for the day and no matter who was at the front, they gave us thoughtful detailed suggestions about how to spend the time. ||We also really enjoyed the breakfast spread. The restaurant was also fantastic. ||Location was perfect. It was a great home base for all of our activities in the Alps. ||I hope to come back to the area again and will definitely stay here.

I had a great stay at this hotel, the rooms and all the facilities are very well decorated and functional. It is full of details that make your stay very pleasant. Most importantly, all the staff is super friendly and helpful from the moment you step in, and that really makes a difference. Thank you for everything!

Grindelwald is a small village and the hotel is located right in the middle of the Main Street. It’s a convenient location, they offer free shuttle to and from the station as well. It’s a short walk from the train station and the bus station is right outside. We got a free upgrade to a room which had a full view of the river mountain. The Mountain View was majestic and the room was comfortable as well. The hotel is slightly older style and not as modern as some of the newer hotels, but comfortable nonetheless. The breakfast spread is nice and tasty, and the staff is very helpful and always cheerful. The location is very convenient if planning activities like Grindelwald first or jungfraujoch. The hotel itself has a lot of fitness activities that you can join for. The only drawback is there are two buildings in the hotel which are a bit complicated to navigate and aren’t directly connected by elevator. There is a bar and lounge in the hotel which has very good food but is on the expensive side. Other than this, would highly recommend staying here.

I am very experienced traveller and i do know the difference between good and bad service. The food in the hotel is very good. The rooms are dated and very hard to relax. It is more a camping style than a hotel. Otherwise Everything was well until the check out. The lady that close my bill (3 rooms as I was staying with my family) was not very nice. I went for breakfast and asked if I could be late in our check out. She said we could stay with one room open but we had to close the other ones by eleven. I was ok and no issues but she required me to return the keys by the revepction. I did as I had to do the checkout. She was very adamant that I return all keys before we left. The issue is the hotel is a puzzle and with kids takes about 10 minutes to get from room to the reception. She was not accomodating at all and said You must return the keys. I am sure this was more prejudice than hotel policy. So hotel management can you clarify it. I left with a bad taste and bad feeling on your hopistality.

The hotel is awesome! Very well located, breakfast and restaurant are so good and the staff so helpful and nice. Luana is amazing and was so nice to us. There is also a nice gym and spa where you can book massages. Everything on the minibar was included in our room and they would fill it out every day. We had a very good stay there and can’t wait to go back with my kids!
