Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort

This was the most hospitable hotel I have ever stayed at. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Even upon departure, they offered us a complimentary bottle of tea, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The rooms were warm and spotlessly clean. The staff were exceptionally well-trained and unfailingly polite. A big, big bravo to the entire team! Without a doubt, if I ever return to Grindelwald, this is the place I will stay.

The Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort is a fabulous place to stay. We had an Eiger view double room and our son had a single. Both rooms were clean, comfortable and welcoming.|The daily minibar refill was a nice touch.|The showers were glorious. The hairdryer in the bathroom was the best l have come across in a hotel - ever. The breakfast was outstanding and offered a very wide choice including items cooked to order. I forgot to ask for that berry gratin recipe 🥲 We ate in Barry's restaurant most nights and in our experience, offered very good value especially as hotels guests receive a discount. We ate everything from the Mongolian BBQ to salmon, salads, burgers, schnitzel and fondue - all were delicious and of first class quality. But far and away the best thing about the hotel was the staff. Every single member of staff we spoke to during our 10 night stay were polite, friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel extremely welcome. Jana welcomed us beautifully on arrival, Daniel found us last minute dinner reservations, Mely always greeted us with a huge smile and told us about her favourite hike and suggested days out we could do, Karin was always a friendly face on reception and Simão checked us out yesterday, arranged a porter transfer and handed us much appreciated ice tea which we enjoyed on the train back to the airport. Thank you all for making our holiday very special and memorable - we will return! ❤️

I really enjoyed this hotel in Grindelwald. It is cozy and feels so comfortable. There is a bus stop nearby that takes you to the train station, or you can email the hotel ahead and they'll send a shuttle to pick you up. |There is also free coffee and cake during tea hours. The buffet breakfast is good. |

Second time staying here and had an amazing week! The room was lovely and spacious & had a nice balcony looking over the street and the Eiger mountain. Great entertainment on a Wednesday evening for the street party. Barry’s did a wonderful selection of food and the staff were lovely! Reception staff were very kind and always asked how our day was when returning to the hotel. Owner came round every morning to see how we were doing which gave a great start to each day. Breakfast selection was delicious and was always plenty to choose from. Can’t wait to come back again soon! 😊

We stayed in the junior suite, and enjoyed the balconcy facing the mountains. ||The room is comfortable and breakfast is hearty with the option of getting eggs or porridge made to order, in addition to the usual croissants, cold cuts, cheese and spreads.||We had a lot of trouble with the washing machine on site, but the lady at the reception was very helpful. ||Having reasonable parking on site was a huge plus.||Location is good, since the town centre and playground are within 5-10 minute walking distance. ||The kids loved the spa style jacuzzi which we hired for an hour. It is very relaxing and setup amazingly with mood lighting and candles.||Barry's restaurant serves good food, and we dined there 2 nights. ||Service staff were helpful and guided us when requested.||The little touch of giving departing guests iced tea bottles was a pleasant surprise. ||A comfortable stay overall, and good place to stay when visiting Grindelwald.

Excellent room with beautiful views from room and restaurant. Staff were extremely friendly. The hotel is located 7 minutes by walk from the train station. It is a short hop from Grindelwald to Grindelwald Terminal by bus/train. Several restaurants nearby. Included breakfasts were fabulous. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this place.

No more than 3 star. Furniture with stains. Carpet with stains. Walls with holes in them. This is more like a motel. Also noisy if on the street side. Very dark and depressing room. Would not want to spend much time in it. Would never stay there again. Needs much better upkeep to be a 4-star hotel. Appears rundown. Very disappointed. The ratiing of 4.5 is very inaccurate. Do not believe it. Our mistake was that we should have complained when we were there. They told our travel agent that this was normal wear and tear in terms of furniture stains. This may bre Ok for students travelling who do not care about creature comforts. but not for someone who wants a true 4 to 4.5 star experience. It is list as 9/10 on Booking.com and Trip Advisor 4.5/5 which we do not believe. We would be wary of staying there unless you checked out the status of the room you are getting in detail.

This resort is a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting with exceptional service. We can’t wait to come back.
