Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort

The team at Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort was so friendly and helpful. They helped me coordinate and plan the perfect birthday trip for my wife. It was the highlight of our trip, and extremely memorable in the most positive ways. The amenities were clean and perfectly functioning. We appreciated the ecofriendly additions, and consciousness that present in the hotel. Dayana, the Manager of the Spa, was engaging, friendly, helpful, and really nice. We enjoyed chatting with here during our spa experience package. The rest of the staff was also pleasant to interact with. Assisting with questions, and guiding us int he right direction. We will be back to visit again.

The Eiger Mountain & Soul Resort is a fabulous place to stay. We had an Eiger view double room and our son had a single. Both rooms were clean, comfortable and welcoming.|The daily minibar refill was a nice touch.|The showers were glorious. The hairdryer in the bathroom was the best l have come across in a hotel - ever. The breakfast was outstanding and offered a very wide choice including items cooked to order. I forgot to ask for that berry gratin recipe 🥲 We ate in Barry's restaurant most nights and in our experience, offered very good value especially as hotels guests receive a discount. We ate everything from the Mongolian BBQ to salmon, salads, burgers, schnitzel and fondue - all were delicious and of first class quality. But far and away the best thing about the hotel was the staff. Every single member of staff we spoke to during our 10 night stay were polite, friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel extremely welcome. Jana welcomed us beautifully on arrival, Daniel found us last minute dinner reservations, Mely always greeted us with a huge smile and told us about her favourite hike and suggested days out we could do, Karin was always a friendly face on reception and Simão checked us out yesterday, arranged a porter transfer and handed us much appreciated ice tea which we enjoyed on the train back to the airport. Thank you all for making our holiday very special and memorable - we will return! ❤️

An amazing hotel. The staff are excellent, they are all so friendly and helpful, especially Melanie at reception, she goes out of her way for guests, thank you! The staff definitely 10/10, best we have experienced. Breakfast is wonderful and so are the rooms.

This was the most hospitable hotel I have ever stayed at. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. Even upon departure, they offered us a complimentary bottle of tea, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The rooms were warm and spotlessly clean. The staff were exceptionally well-trained and unfailingly polite. A big, big bravo to the entire team! Without a doubt, if I ever return to Grindelwald, this is the place I will stay.

The resort is located perfectly if you want to be walking distance to all the shops. Our view from the room was beautiful next to mountains. The Resort has a restaurant, gym, spa and sauna. Service and staff were nice as well. I will surely come back.

Perfect location in Grindlewald. Warm, Welcoming. We couldn’t fault anything. 5 star treatment and beautiful earthy elements. The breakfast was the best we have had yet. Honestly 2 days wasn’t enough. Walked from train station to hotel with Bags. It’s close to first as well . .

The hotel is very well located — right in the city center, close to the train station and the cable car, which makes it a convenient choice for exploring the area. However, the overall experience was below expectations for a 4-star hotel. The restaurant is extremely expensive, and the service quality does not match the prices. The staff seemed rather cold and not very welcoming. One evening, my wife and I chose the all you can eat option at dinner, and the waitress serving us gave us unpleasant looks because we wanted our 4-year-old daughter to have the same option, which was already quite expensive. I suppose she doesn’t have children, so maybe she didn’t understand, but her attitude was inappropriate. Also, the hotel has two separate buildings, and we were accommodated in the one behind, while the photos online show only the main front building. This feels misleading — you pay expecting one experience, but get something else. There was no shower gel provided in the room, and the slippers were sold separately for 5 Swiss francs, which is quite disappointing for a 4-star hotel. Overall, the location is excellent, but the service quality and staff attitude definitely need improvement.
