My recent visit to San Marco was nothing short of appalling. My boyfriend and I wanted to have a cold treat after a tiring cycling trip. We ordered 2 🍨 and walked out to sit on the outside table by the canel. Instead of letting us enjoy the🍦we were treated with hostility for no apparent reason other than our ethnicity/race. Despite several empty tables being visibly available a guy perhaps a waiter immediately approached us and asked us to empty the table. His tone was cold and dismissive.
At that moment I wasn't in the mood to confront this petty behaviour from the waiter guy but this incident has certainly left a shocking and humiliating experience to us.we left, our appetite ruined, but the experience lingered like a bad taste in our mouths.
Racism has no place in society, let alone in a business that claims to serve the community. I wouldn’t recommend this coffee shop to anyone. This kind of discriminatory behavior should never be tolerated.
Ps: this is a late post review. Incident happened 22Oct '24

Really good ice-cream with maybe too many different types to choose from. But the are delicious. Sit down next to the water flowing thru Tübingen and enjoy. They are quick to get your order. Worth a visit.

Quite nice ice cream with good coffee, the price is quite high for Tübingen, but the outside tables are very nice especially during a warmer and sunny day 🍨

Despite its inviting location, it's not a "place for turists". Their ice-creams and pinsas are very good, service kind and they remember frequent costumers, which is always a plus! Definitely recommended.

The ice cream is tasty. But if a price of EUR 1,50 per scoop is appropriate for it, well, check it out yourself. For me personally the limit of what I'm willing to pay and what still gives me a good feeling about my investment has been exceeded.

After more than a year it's finally time to go out, meet people, have some nice ice-cream... And Eiscafé San Marco in Tübingen is one of the best places to enjoy great ice-cream and sip some really good coffee while enjoying wonderful company in this warm weather. There was an insanely long queue at the takeaway counter, so we decided to sit at a table. The tables are set outside and there's an extensible roof in case it rains. The ice cream creations were very tempting and there was a huge selection to choose from. The service was fast and courteous. The only negative was that it was crowded... After the covid lockdowns, crowds make me feel apprehensive. Hopefully that feeling is temporary. I recommend parking at the car park at Nonnenhaus. There's usually parking available there, and it's just a couple of minutes walk to the Eiscafé San Marco.

Expensive and low quality. Tiramisu was badly frozen resulting to very watery taste. Coffee was good but too expensive compared to most coffee shops in the area. Crepes were good in taste but too "empty" of materials for their cost.

Excellent pinsa romana, dough is light, tasty topping. Great coffee, reasonably priced.
