Eish + Malh

Came in at 11:15am, food arrived at around 12. Two staff members. 3 other tables were occupied. I went up to ask for the menu, then later asked for his attention to take our order. Ordered the lemon curd pancake, shakshuka eggs, and matcha latte. They didn't have matcha. I walked up to the counter multiple times since they didn't seem to pay much attention to our table. Pros: location and atmosphere. The place is clean, well decorated with large windows. Cons: serving time and food delivery took about an hour. The eggs were undercooked, the pancakes were dry, and the toast was stale and hard as a rock. We asked to exchange it. He brought another 2 pieces that were rotten (green spots/mold was visible). He brought another piece of bread to make it up, but by then we were done with the experience. We left. I went up to the counter and asked to charge me only for the water. They charge 29 Egyptian pounds for a small bottle of water. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in a supposedly upscale restaurant! Will never step foot in there again. It's so sad that it has such great potential, but is left to the hands of employees who don't care much to see it succeed!

The place is in downtown, it has a panoramic window. we went for lunch, lovely for morning outings, but i can imagine it can be nice for dinner too. We ordered a margarita pizza 9/10 roasted chicken with rosemary 10/10 Chicken lemon dish 10/10 For breakfast Pancakes 10/10 Spanish omlette 10/10

Yeah, nah - don’t bother. There are far too many restaurants in Cairo offering better food and service. It’s a definite NO ‼️ That arancini was literally burnt.

This is a fantastic spot in downtown Cairo, offering a perfect escape from the city’s hustle and bustle while serving high-quality meals. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an ideal place for tourists to unwind and relax. Our server was exceptional—kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. Their recommendations were spot on, and every dish we tried was not only delicious but absolutely worth the experience.

This place has been on my want to go list for couple of years now and I've finally went there. It gives out a cosy homemade food vibes. I tried Smoked eggs. The portion was good for me and since I'm on a low carb diet it was perfect. The only issue is that the edges were burned but the bottom wasn't burned so I managed to eat it. There were some annoying flies because they left the windows open. Green tea was too bitter so next time I'll order another drink. It was too early in the morning so it wasn't crowded so it didn't take too long to receive the order. Prices were good. Staff were very nice. I would give them a chance in the next visit.

This is a decent spot in downtown Cairo, where you can relax from the surrounding chaos and enjoy a good quality meal. It’s tourist-friendly and has an inviting atmosphere overall. Dawood was very kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. He recommended the polo limon and chicken pizza, both were good.

Good spot serving traditional breakfast. We came here for breakfast and found the food to be fine. Nothing much to complain about or right home about either.

Everything was delicious, the service excellent, and the coffee was the best I ever had. I highly recommend the lattes, pizzas, chicken panini, and halloumi sandwich. The ambiance is very calm and a great place to unwind and truly have a quality meal with the people you love. I will come here as often as I can, and it has taken first place for lunch spots in downtown Cairo.
