EJ’s BonBons, is a husband and wife team with Michelin star pedigree. Owners Emily and Pierre, had previously worked at Per Se (3 Michelin ⭐️), in Manhattan, under Chef Thomas Keller. Per Se offers their prix-fixe chef tasting menu starting at $390 per person but good luck getting a reservation. Presented to you at the end of your meal is a golden box filled with the wildest most beautiful bon bons. Emily and Pierre are bringing their expertise and culinary training to us here in Emily’s hometown of Woodstock. Knowing that she is producing 3 Michelin star quality chocolates for $3 per work of art (which is what these are) is crazy. I’m totally hooked. Not sure whitch is my favorite. This place is magical. Each creation is exquisite: visually a tiny piece of modern art and the attention to detail follows through to each & every bite. I was looking for something new and special to give to loved ones this past Valentine's Day, saw EJ’s mentioned somewhere, and thought this might be just the ticket. I expected something exceptional and my expectations were exceeded! I gifted a couple of sets of bonbons to a few of my most discerning friends (who are notoriously difficult to shop for) and they were massive hits! My best friend owns a fine art & antique auction house - he has exquisite taste, enjoys the finer things in life, and is not easily impressed. The box of assorted bonbons was a tremendous success!! He said he would have felt guilty consuming these tiny works of art if they weren't also each so extraordinary to taste! I bought myself a jar of your caramels and they are absolute perfection. I’m shocked at how special these are. I love savoring each one, taking tiny bites at a time out of an already small treat, and eating each caramel is a special treat- finding the single grains of salt that are perfectly blended throughout the caramel. Who knew eating something as simple as a single wrapped caramel could be such a divine and special treat? They are mind-bendingly joyful! My only regrets are that I didn't buy myself a package of bonbons to try for myself and an additional 3 jars of caramels because I know that these little beauties have to be a part of my life now! To those who are creating these stunning and delicious treats, I am incredibly grateful to you; you are not only putting out extraordinary treats, but you are also creating exceptional edible art that undoubtedly brings joy to everyone lucky enough to enjoy your creations! After easily walking into EJ Bonbons and Confections, ordering, and then eating some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had, I wondered how I could walk in the store so easily? I have been to “lesser” chocolatiers with long lines at the counter, but with the quality of EJ Bonbons and Confections there should be lines around the block. I'm sorry - i never do this - but if you are coming here looking for massed produced overly sweet chocolate bars, kisses, squares, and small wrapped sugary chocolate there is a CVS down the street. Please. As advertised every single bonbon is an individual piece of art. Also as advertised owners Pierre (who I met) and Emily most certainly use the highest quality ingredients because these are simply the most delicious, delicate, identifiably balanced flavored chocolates ever. There is something for everyone - Regular, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free and Alcohol-Free. Ok I will keep this simple, each and every bonbon tasted - not kind’a - but exactly like the described flavor. Peanut Butter and Jelly tasted like, yup peanut butter and Jelly. Same with the Black Forest, Caramel Apple, Vanilla Bean, and Cranberry Orange. Now you can try to eat the bonbon in more than one bite, it is possible because I saw it, but for me I’m all in. Now this is important – EJ Bonbons are subtle and perfectly balanced so no one flavor drowns the other. No big sugar rush or overly sweet “candy” taste that masks the real flavors. Just Perfection Confections. The same holds true for the chocolate covered nuts and for some this may be a shock. The first bite will remind you all flavors are important, and like the bonbons the chocolate cover nuts are smooth and addicting. The loveliest chocolate shop ever. They are my go-to for gifting (both to others and myself). Everything is made with so much care. The bonbons are beautiful to look at and delightful to eat! I also LOVE their ice cream and sorbet in the summer - the flavors are rich yet clean, and I considered getting one last time I was in the store even though it had just snowed. (That should tell you how good it is.) I went for the more seasonally-appropriate hot chocolate, which is a rich drinking chocolate - not the milky, watered-down version that you get in so many other establishments. I wish I had some right now.

I have never had bonbons as delicious and beautiful as these before. My husband and I got a box of 12 bonbons to share… we’re calling it “self care” 😅 Can’t get over the intricacy and care that so obviously go into each piece. The artwork on the outside perfectly complements the pure and delicious tastes on the inside. Pierre and Emily have created something SO beautiful with this shop!

Lovely little shop. The matcha and bourbon maple were great, didn’t get a chance to try the others. It feels like you’re enjoying an edible piece of art. Will definitely be back. Great for a gift or just to treat yourself with some chocolate!

What a special treat!!! I received an assortment of the most delicious Bonbons as a Birthday present. My husband and I devoured them!!!! I wish I would have taken a picture to demonstrate the excellence from EJ Bonbons! My favorites are the Peanut butter and jelly, the dark chocolate raspberry and the salted caramel. My husband loves the strawberry shortcake and the pistachio. It’s really hard to pick a favorite because they are all so flavorful! We also received a beautiful box full of my all time favorite, salted caramels!!! I have posted a picture. If you are looking for something to brighten up your day, stop at EJ’s and treat yourself! I must say that it was an excellent idea for a gift! Will definitely order more!

Amazing, high end chocolatier from former confectionaries from Per Se. It doesn't just live up to the hype, it is better than the hype.

We stopped in this cute chocolate store because the chocolates looked so pretty on displayed! It was like waking into a jewelry store. The chocolate was a bit pricey, 4 for $11 dollars but I would say it was definitely worth it. The bonbons were so tasty and rich and not too sweet. My favorite was probably the blueberry chocolate as the blueberry purée inside added a hint of sour to the chocolate which was a nice surprise! I usually don't like fruit in my chocolate but this store convinced me otherwise! I enjoyed the chocolate as it didn't even make me feel sick when I usually eat more than 2 of these. I loved how light these were! The package was also so pretty! It was super high end, I would recommend if you were giving someone a gift! The staff was super friendly too!

Really tasty little morsels with unique flavors like PB & J, mango passion fruit, and lychee rose. I'm so spoiled by NYC chocolate shop Varsano's but these were still great. Quaint inside with window seating. Really enjoyed all the chocolates we had.

Large assortment of chocolate bonbons, candies, caramels, nougat, and pate de fruit. Located right off of the center square in downtown Woodstock, EJ Bonbons and Confections carries a few vegan items among the fancy chocolate treats. Pate de fruit are small sugar coated fruit gels and are made with real fruit, natural coloring, and no gelatin. We bought the blueberry vegan dark chocolate bon bons and the wrapped peach caramels which are also vegan. I love how they cut the first bonbons in each row to show the cross section of each bonbon with amazing fillings Check it out

Wow just wow. I truly transported to another heavenly world when I took my first bite. I cannot rave enough about the banana pie - the banana flavor is so smooth and melts in your mouth. It's the perfect amount of banana flavor and compliments the dark chocolate coating perfectly. The graham cracker layer added a subtle crunch. I had an out of body experience eating this bonbon, but I also recommend PB&J, and raspberry lemon!

Warning: this may cause chocolate addiction (if you're not already addicted). Owners here launched a Chocolate business in the midst of the pandemic- which is a bold move. EJ Bonbons' design has airiness written all over it as soon as you walk in. Plus these folks are bringing their love of Chocolate and expertise to Woodstock. Expect to see nougat but the highlight at EJ's (to me): are gorgeous looking Truffles that'll blow your mind once you taste them- at this Old Forge Rd Chocolate shop. I'm extremely fussy when it comes to chocolate truffles- and my 6 piece Raspberry, Strawberry Cheesecake, Matcha and Passion Fruit selection was rich, robust and decadent. Price for the 12 piece here doesn't bother me. I pay more than that with shipping+ taxes+etc when I order online from a Boston Chocolatier or if I'm visiting- so the $32 price tag here is perfect. There was another Chocolate shop in Woodstock's main hub which I visited a while back, but that was short-lived maybe because they focused mostly on chocolate bars and not truffles(?). But I'm really rooting for EJ because this town needed a serious chocolate truffle shop. Now.... if they can only add cocoa-dusted truffles and a Hot Chocolate to their menu- then we're talking!

It's sad that they wouldn't share their confections with the children of Woodstock on Halloween. Woodstock is a family community & our kids are worth the good stuff. It would have been a nice way to sow good will with the locals. Customers shell out $2.50+ per piece yet our kids get corporate candy? Give this pretentious, stingy place a hard pass. Head to Saugerties where both Lucky's & Krauss' have DELICIOUS more reasonably priced chocolates, AND they've been generously involved in our community in caring ways for years.

We got a 12-bonbon assortment. They look beautiful and for once they actually taste just as good as they look. I will happily splurge again next time we visit. Congrats to the confectioners

Bar far the best truffles I've ever had anywhere. The Champagne truffle is insane and the blueberry lemon was fantastic. Banoffee pie took us on a flavor journey.

World class bon bons and confections. Yes it's not cheap but neither is dinner at Per Se and this is the quality of the bon bons they sell here. Don't let the pretty exterior of these delights make you think they are all for show. We got a box of 4: Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon Blueberry, Mango Passionfruit and Salted Caramel. Considering I've eaten at Per Se several times I can vouch for the fact that these are the same quality one would get with a $500 per person dinner.

These are the most beautiful chocolates! Stoped by when I was in Woodstock last weekend. Interesting selection and you can have just one! The perfect hostess gift ...or gift to yourself!

Amazing chocolates that are as beautiful as they are delicious. We bought a 4 pack and they were so good we literally bought 4 more on the spot (fyi if you reuse your box you save $2). Lovely little shop that is a must visit if you are in Woodstock!

One word.... WOW. Love the Remy Martin and the mojito. The Father's Day assortment was Awesome! Great great gift too bad I had to share!
