Great experience knowing the history of chocolate and it's origins. Had an amazing time with Jessica with an interactive chocolate experience - she made the whole time more fun! Highly recommend!

This was such a fun and memorable chocolate-making excursion! Our guide was kind, hilarious, and made the experience even better. It was fascinating to learn the history of cacao and taste it at the different stages. At $25 per person, it was totally worth it! I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

If I could rate this 10 stars, I would. For $25, we had an unforgettable experience! We got to learn all about the history of cocoa/cacao/chocolate in a really informative presentation, then make our own chocolates and do a little tasting! Jessica’s high energy made the experience playful, entertaining, and educational. Oh, and the chocolate was the best I’ve ever had in my life!

Chocolate tour and making here was so fun, interesting and tasty. Vinnie was a great host full of knowledge, enthusiasm and energy to keep us all engaged. We made our own chocolates at the end which we got to keep and eat later on! Tour was $25 which initially seemed a lot, however the experience was well worth it and then the chocolate we took away would have been around $10 anyway. A great activity to do in Antigua!

Jessica is amazing she made our chocolate tour! So fun and exciting. Dancing, singing and so knowledgeable. Very knowledgeable of where chocolate came from and how the Mayans made it

If Willy Wonka had a Guatemalan cousin, her name would be Jessica! My wife and I took the chocolate-making class at Ek Chuah Chocolate Café, and it was hands down one of the highlights of our honeymoon. From the moment we stepped in, the aroma of cocoa whispered, “You’re about to have the best time ever,” and it did not lie. Jessica was absolutely amazing — equal parts chocolate expert, comedian, and life coach. She didn’t just teach us how chocolate is made… she turned it into a full-blown experience filled with laughter, history, and (of course) lots of tasting! She made learning so engaging that even the “educational” parts felt like a party. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the Ek Chua team surprised us with a special honeymoon plate they made just for us! ❤️ It was such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel celebrated and spoiled…I’m not saying I teared up, but I’m also not not saying that. Everything about this place went above and beyond — the warmth, the humor, the hospitality, and the chocolate (which I’m convinced is 80% love and 20% magic). If you’re in Antigua, do yourself a favor and book this class. And if you get Jessica as your teacher, congratulations… you’ve officially won the golden ticket. 🎫🍫

Okay, I don’t write a lot of reviews but this one is a must for me. Today we had the cacao workshop ar Ek Chuah and we loved it! The main reason for this was Vinicio (I hope I spell your name correctly). Vinicio, thank you for this amazing experience. He had so much passion, energy and told al the stories amazing. From history of the cacao and mayas to amazing songs and dances. For me its a must do! When I feel down in the next few months I will watch videos back of Vinicius and this will make my day. Vinicio thanks again for the amazing workshop and your energy. Never change!

My husband posted a review, but I had to do the same. We took the chocolate class with Jessica, and she was such a delight! She took us through the history of chocolate all the way from the Mayans to modern day, and she made it so interesting that I want to study it myself now! I learned so much in a very entertaining and interactive way - we actually roasted and ground cacao beans, and we made our own chocolate drinks from scratch! I would recommend anyone to go to Ek Chua, because you will learn so much and have so much fun at the same time.
