We loved our stay here. Lily was a great host. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. The harp playing and singing were a magical touch. We loved sraying in Hana.

Nice accommodation with fantastic views over the ocean and rainforest, located just outside Hana in a lovely and secluded area but within short drive to Hana and Waianapanapa State Park. The hosts are very helpful and discreet. The interior would benefit from some updating, particularly kitchen cabinets and some furniture is rather dated. Pleasant stay overall though. Unlike other reviewers we found the place to be clean and well taken care of.

Stayed here back in February for 3 nights in the jasmine suite, the place had great potential as it a nice building with a good layout and was located in a beautiful spot but unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to par with the luxurious advertising it had online. There were alot of dead bugs around the windows and corners of the floor and the top of the fridge was very dirty. I understand that is the last place people clean at home but I would expect it to be clean at a rental. Also there were Cob webs around the corners in the ceiling and the advertised king bed was just 2 twin beds pushed together with a mattress topper so there was an obvious hump in the middle. We advised the caretakers the first night about the lack of cleanliness and they did clean up a bit but did not do a very good job, we did not feel like mentioning it again as we were on holidays and did not feel like having to deal with it any further. Over all not satisfied and don't recommend. Mahalo

Unfortunately, my experience was unpleasant. It is not worth the money. The suite was not clean, there were cobwebs and a thick layer of dust as well as dead bugs and bug poop around the suite as well as some mold growing on the walls surrounding the windows as seen in the photos. I am dissatisfied with my experience and would not recommend.

Loved the place. Great views. Location was a great spot to explore the Road to Hana.

What a beautiful place. We have been staying at Ekena for over 20 years, sometimes for weeks at a time. Peaceful and the views are extraordinary. Ocean and sky for as far as the eye can see and lush hills surrounding you. Robin and Gaylord are terrific hosts making you feel comfortable and taken care of but allowing you your privacy. Fully equipped kitchen, clean and modern. The bedrooms are on either side of the house with their own bathrooms so it a dream to share with another couple or friends. It's a place to relax and revitalize. Can't say enough about this heavenly place.
