It's later in the evening, and I'm in my hotel room at the train station. I'm craving something sweet, so I decided to wander down Eki Marche, which is a lovely shopping area at the station. I realized that I wanted some ice cream, which is most always the case, but something different. Definitely matcha soft serve solved that problem.
This kiosk is tiny and in the middle of the market portion of the shopping area (there are restaurants too). It's a little pricey (around 500 yen) for a soft serve, but it's in a waffle cone, and the ice cream is worth it. The soft serve is at the right temperature. The texture is smooth and the matcha is not powdery. There is a strong matcha flavor, so they don't skimp. The little chocolate accompaniment was a nice touch.
Service...well, it's Japan, so what do you think?
