Ekies All Senses Resort, Vourvourou Bay, Chalkidiki, Greece - Explore & Book

"The antidote to an overbooked life? Space to think, freedom to do what you want when you want, and a peaceful place to come back to your senses. Ekies is that magical place. Growing up, owner Alexandra Efstathiadou spent her summer holidays here, overlooking the crystal-clear Vourvourou Bay on the peninsula of Sithonia, Chalkidiki's 'second finger'. She jumped at the chance to buy the hotel for herself, and her whimsical reinvention layers various design styles, ranging from minimalist to high-design, along with legendary Greek hospitality. Each of the 76 rooms and suites are different; all are stunning. Everything you need to restore your stress-battered psyche is within these grounds. Follow a path across the landscaped lawn to the peaceful swimming pool, before continuing to the open-air spa, where staff can prescribe personalised treatments for whatever's ailing you. Claim a sun lounger on the beach, where the shallow water is safe for small children, then sip cocktails on the deck as you marvel at sunsets that bathe the sea and pine-forested mountains in a silvery glow. Irresistible extras - a romantic tree house, a hammock dangling above the water - take you beyond relaxation to the carefree days you knew as a kid. True rejuvenation! Highs Truly fantastic gourmet food in the waterfront restaurant, Bubo Greek Fine Dining (some of the best we've ever eaten), plus the option of intimate fine dining meals in the treehouse Impeccable design with iconic furnishings and fun details - Acapulco and Panton chairs, oversized light bulbs, parasols that resemble lampshades Wonderful staff - everything is done with big smiles A picture-perfect location close to magnificent beaches and only 90 minutes from Thessaloniki airport Ideal for memorable family holidays, and a good option for couples during the quieter shoulder months Lows The hotel beach is narrow with murky water and a limited number of loungers, and can get noisy during summer; there are plenty of others beaches nearby (which are more beautiful) The smallest rooms have low ceilings and poor storage Several rooms have open-plan bathrooms, which won’t suit everyone (separate loos, though) Mosquitoes are around but the hotel provides natural insect repellent and tabs" - Joyce Copeland

Absolutely loved our stay as a family with small children (1 and 4). Ekies is a small and intimate resort, perfectly located, beautifully designed and blended into nature. The restaurant at the beachfront, shallow waters and sunsets are truly one of the best we ever experienced. Small note for improvement is service in the bar falls short. We would expect staff to notice us when we take a seat and simply want to order a drink :)

This is a beautiful very tastefully decorated design hotel with good service and very friendly staff. The breakfast is amazing and the pool area and beach very well taken care of. The hotel has just one flaw and that is the ridiculous amount of young hipster helicopter families with their ADD toddlers who of course are never taught any boundaries by their parents. The constant screaming and crying are a BIG minus. We were traveling outside the school holiday season, but did not take into account that young parents today travel with the youngest of toddlers. How much nicer this hotel would be as an adults only place.

as a picky guest that i am i have to say: this place is wonderful, and probably the best i know for families with kids. We were not expecting this level of services. First thing that strikes you is the design, the impressive vegetation and how well thought is everything so as to create a relaxing atmosphere (from the setting of the rooms to the design of the bar, that of the pool and restaurants, etc). It is just an unexpected design jewel in Halkidiki. Just as amazing: the quality of the services: impeccable staff and the food is highly qualitative (top ingredients you can serve to your kids without second thoughts; also very well prepared). Even the taverna restaurant has top dishes. And the service is top too - fast and always attentive to your and your kids needs. Their attention to detail: they organize movie projections at night, have an adorable kids club with swings and playground for kids to climb, the beach is neat and there is always someone to serve you, and there is also an amazing spa where you can get a massage or a facial at decent amounts. What is more, the water is perfect for families with kids:not too deep, with a very safe entrance - so you can play and supervise kids in the best conditions.

Great location Very attentive staff, especially George who is in charge of guest relations. We had the garden sweet and loved it. The hotel's beach is great and is located in a closed bay so the water is much warmer than other beaches in the area, in which even though it was August, the water was a bit cold. As for the cons, the hotel is a bit overpriced, and so is the hotel's restaurant, and even though the staff is mostly very nice, it lacks some extras to make it a five-star resort. For example, there is a shortage of beach towels in the pool. Also, the pool is super deep so it's impossible even for a tall grown person to stand in. The beach menu is limited and they don't offer the restaurant's menu which is basically on the beach, at the beach beds. But these are not major issues and the overall experience was great.

A truly special eco-friendly hotel. The design is stunning—every detail feels intentional, elegant, and calming. The restaurant menu is beautifully thought out with fresh, seasonal ingredients that are both creative and nourishing. Our family felt so welcomed and inspired by the balance of comfort, sustainability, and style. Highly recommend!

Second time. It's a really lovely hotel. The best part for me is the staff. They are absolutely fantastic. Also the spa. I had fantastic massages by both Lea and Angelina. Hit the spot. The food is mostly very good. It is a great place for families. There were so many families with babies as well as teens. If that's not your thing Do NOT come here. Also if you want rolling surf this isn't your place. The water is shallow and a little bit weedy on the bottom which means it doesn't feel as fresh as the water round the bay at Kalidini. The rooms are fine, but not always cleaned up great, and one thing that definitely pissed me off is they say "Do Not drink from the tap!" and then don't provide enough water, or even sometimes any. "Best to go to the shop and get some bottles there!" No! If you recommend we don't drink from their tap, provide us with water in some other way. Perhaps have Ekies bottles and a fountain we can use!.

We first stayed at Ekies All Senses Resort in May last year and loved it so much that we returned again in August – and we’re already booked to go back this August! That alone speaks volumes about how special this place is.||The hotel is truly unique. It has a laid-back, boutique feel with an adults-only atmosphere in parts, yet it’s incredibly welcoming and accommodating for children – a rare and perfect balance. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush greenery and beautifully maintained gardens. It feels like a peaceful sanctuary from the moment you arrive.||Being right on the beach is a huge bonus, and the sea is wonderfully calm – ideal for young children to safely enjoy. Everywhere you go, it smells amazing and adds to the sensory experience. There’s a deeply relaxing vibe throughout the resort – it’s the kind of place where you can fully switch off and just be.||We’ve made so many lovely memories here as a family and can’t wait to return again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stylish, tranquil escape that still works beautifully for families.

We didn’t know what to expect when we booked this hotel last minute for one night — but we loved it so much that we ended up staying an extra night! The environment, the staff, and the rooms are absolutely lovely. The prices are also very reasonable. While the staff could be a bit more attentive to guests, it wasn’t anything that impacted our stay in a negative way. We came with low expectations and ended up discovering a truly charming hotel. We would definitely come back again . The hotel is surrounded by beautiful beaches where you can easily spend the whole day, or even hire a private boat with family or friends and enjoy some real fun. It’s genuinely a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your time.
