Eko Residence Hotel

I really value hotels which are trying to do their bit to save the planet and the Eko Residence is. They are details but make a difference. The staff were also very welcoming and pleasant. My room was perfectly adequate although the lighting over the working area could be better and the handle and lock on the door were rather hit and miss. The bathroom was fine and the wifi worked well. Breakfast was good with plenty of fruit, bread and cakes. I had a meeting at the University so it was very convenient. I would return there.

A lot of details make the experience just average. The staff is polite but there are things that are just not right. For instance, I wanted to take notes in my room and asked for a piece of paper. After the hotel staff asked me how may papers I want, they said they would charge me R$0,50 per sheet. It's not about the money, but about a service... besides that, Internet was not working properly in the room, shower needed maintenance...

An excellent value hotel in the centre of Porto Alegre. The staff are very pleasant, the rooms are immaculately clean and very modern and the breakfast is good. I would be happy to stay here again next time I’m in town.

Although the price is a little higher than some other hotels, it is very good. The rooms are new and tidy. Everything works fine and without stress. Breakfast with several options and organized. All staff are well educated and mostly attentive. Recommend to everyone.

Spent 5 days in Eko Residence and although I know the area is useful, I took the advantage of the great convenience of the terrace for studying and exercising. Having a grocery small store inside the hotel is quite convenient. Breakfast is fantastic. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Located in the old downtown is a modern hotel with facilities. It is not a luxury hotel but good for the price. Nothing to complain. And if you make the reservation direct with the hotel get a R$ 15,00 voucher por food in the convenience store (not good for trip advisor)

From the pics and write up we expected more. The rooms had just been refurbished but were a bit....meh. WiFi didn't work in our room also. Wouldn't stay again unless I had to but certainly wasn't the worst place in the world.

Good hotel. Good price, central based place, good internet and breakfast. Bulding a little bit old, but it was not problem form me. I would come back for sure. Do not have parking spots, but you can store it in a different place for 25 BRL.
