Great food and great service
My wife and I went there for dinner and we enjoyed a great meal and a great evening. The waiters are nice and helpful, and the service was quick and smooth. The food was exquisite.
As a starter, we shared a delicious plate of local cheese, ham, and lomo. For the main course I had 'Carrilleras de Buey al Pedro Ximénez' --- tender braised ox cheeks with a sauce based on sweet sherry. This was truly great. For dessert, I had the cheese cake which was also very good. We let the waiter choose a good, local wine for os and finished with 'licor de bellota' --- acorn liqueur. All in all, the best food we've had in Trujillo.
We paid 89€ for the starter, our two main courses, two desserts, a bottle of wine, two bottles of sparkling water, and two chupitos of licor de bellota. Well worth the money.
PS.: We visited the place during Easter and found it to be a very busy place with a noisy bar at the entrance. The restaurant is in the back room which was also a bit noisy but much less so than the bar. We had to make reservations beforehand, as the place seems to be full every evening.
