Stopped here for a quick dinner on the way to Madrid especially as traffic was forecast ahead. Server was very apologetic that they were out of the bread for sandwiches. No problem, we were happy with the pork (which came with local bread chunks) which was delicious. Easy and plenty of parking. Would stop again.

Dropped off motorway into this beautiful little town for quick lunch. Traditional Spanish type bar/cafe with a large dining room & accomodation. Ate in bar - basic meals very well cooked & very pleasant staff. Planning a return visit as town has fabulous attractions.

Stayed here on the way to Santander. Very easy to find off the motorway. Room was lovely. They offered me a choice of rooms, and took the room with the bedroom up some wooden stairs. Very comfortable bed, all linen nice and clean. Couch in living room was great, ditto bathroom. Was very hot outside, but the skylight in bedroom, big window downstairs and the fans worked very well. Windows have shutters and blinds so can make the rooms pitch black to sleep.||Ate in the restaurant, menu de dia, which was excellent. Breakfast was also good.||All the staff were helpful and friendly. ||Plenty of places to park, and the petrol station in front of it is a bonus.||The town is even more amazing than it looks. Have driven past countless times, always meant to stop, and really glad I did.||Will happily rebook here on the way back.

Great location, did try to get somewhere in the old town but limited/ more expensive and full. But this is a great place. Staff helpful and friendly. Listed as no wifi but was in the bar- really slow but we managed. Limited English but thats a plus.||Room 1 was quiet and ordinary- clean with a good shower in the bath. More than adequate for one night.||We always love a balcony- this had a great one with a few tables- just right for a few glasses of wine as the sun goes down.||The view of the distant mountains with snow caps was fantastic. The garage with one pump and a rack of gas bottles no problem- so few takers.||Will go back as it is only a short walk into the old town and would like to spend more time.||Lots of eating places and a fantastic Picasso Museum. [free] with the castle [when refurbished] is a good place to stay over

Having said that the petrol station was no bother at all and shut at 10 pm. It was very easy to find and we parked the motorbike just in front of the building and that was fine. The room itself consisted of a living room, bathroom and sleeping area up an open staircase at a mezzanine level- so it would not be suitable for children or anyone with any mobility problems. It was fairly quiet at night and my early morning run around the village was no problem. Breakfast was served in the bar where he basically asked us what we wanted from various options- in Spanish! We opted for coffee, tostadas and guacada, the latter being a kind of set yogurt- we could have had more if we wanted I got the impression. The price we paid was 65 Euros which I felt was a little expensive but accommodation is limited in the town.

Not overly impressed. The bread was not fresh so when toasted was rock hard. The cost of 2 x coffee and toast, plus one orange juice came to 8€.

The man who served us was rude and wasn't welcoming. We were not sure what he was trying to achieve for his business. If there was a zero star option we would select that.

Unbelievable.. Arrived here around 4pm in the afternoon. As we walked to the door, the employees of the place had the key in the door. Slammed the door shut & locked it!! Terrible service all round.
