El Attar Middle Eastern Grill

Absolutely amazing experience at El Attar, the host was incredibly friendly and attentive. Was there for a family gathering, banquet is a must have for groups, great portions of amazing food, an almost all you can eat style. Host even packed the leftovers (dinner sorted ;-)) Highly recommend, great food and fantastic hospitality.

Dropped in after going to the movies, after 8.30pm. The flavours of the meals was authentic, so yummy. Service was friendly and very attentive. Lovely to see young staff work along side manager to show excellent work ethics. Nice to hear that baked items are cooked locally. TOP JOB. As a Hospitality Teacher I would rate this as an excellent venue to visit. Keep up the great work.

Great experience and heaps better than 4.3! The chicken shawarma was great, delicious and huge. Great price point also.

We had an excellent dinner here. The food was exceptional and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The banquet provided more food than we could eat for a very reasonable price. They also accommodated our dietary requirements and provided almost everything gluten free. I will be telling others about this place!

Came here for my birthday to try for the first time and I'm extremely glad I did. My mum bought us the banquet so we could try a little bit of everything and it was a great experience. We were served with a great deal of enthusiasm and I absolutely loved how fresh the sauces and bread were. The dishes are fantastic if you are vegetarian/vegan and there is a lot of meat if you're not. If you don't eat everything they are happy for you to take it home and I was surprised how easily I digested the food. Most of the main dishes are actually really good for you. Thankyou so much.

This is our second time visiting Al Attar Restaurant while travelling from Melbourne to Mackay. We stopped here last year as well, and once again the food was absolutely delicious. We love the flavours, the friendly people, and the lovely background music. The food and desserts were amazing — especially the lamb shawarma. Highly recommended❤️

The food and service at el attar has always been exceptional! I'm enjoying the new layout of the shop also. My girlfriend and I got the mixed grill for lunch today, we were both full after the meal and enjoyed it immensely, we stated that we were both gluten free and the meal came out that way, they also made adjustments for my girlfriend who doesn't eat dairy. Thanks el attar for the consistently great meals and atonosphere!

Have visited several times. El Attar has been consistently excellent for food and service. The Zatar pizza I had tonight was the best pizza I have had in a very long time. Also would recommend the lamb Kofta. Friendly and helpful staff. Friendly to children and families, casual dress in comfortable surroundings. Initially (on first visit) found the menu bewildering due to my lack of experience with Middle Eastern cuisine, but I must say that so far everything I have eaten at every visit has been superlative. Would recommend.

Went there on Valentines day with the family and order a banquet for 5 persons. Was nowhere near enough food, where I made sure my family had food first and I was left with very little to eat. Could not get the attention of staff. Was over charged on the meal by over $20. Went to complain, where management did not want to listen to complaints. Look at other people who have mentioned poor service and the responses they get. Food was ok, what little I had. They will tell you that they provided you with all this food, but the food was more sampling size, with 5 dishes on 1 plate (portions for 2 persons). If you paid for a banquet for 2 you would have recieved the same about of food. I acknowledge that other people have had good experiences there, but there excuse for this instance was that they were busy. I won't be back after the rude treatment I received from manager. Claims I was rude and threatening when I went to complain, but more than happy to share the recording I made of our conversation to anyone who wants it.
