I stayed at El Balcon for 22 days while in Cusco for the Andean Raid ultra cycling race. From the comfortable beds, amazing shower water pressure, to the kind, caring, and talented staff, I cannot praise El Balcon enough. |Staff was kind about storing my bike, and allowing me to clean and pack it in the courtyard after my race. |Jaunita, who runs the kitchen takes personal care and interest in guests and their needs, and her staff is just as attentive. The included breakfast is fantastic, and dinners are exceptional. |I was very sick thanks to eating curry in town one night, and when I came to the dining room in the morning looking for sparkling water, I was met with real concern, homemade tea, and love.|El Balcon made my Peru experience one-of-a-kind, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at El Balcón, though brief, was truly excellent. The room was thoughtfully prepared, with comfortable beds, soft pillows, and cozy blankets that made us feel right at home. We especially loved the rustic charm. It created a peaceful atmosphere, made even more serene by the view of the garden outside our window.||A special thank you to Marleni and Nely for their outstanding service at the restaurant. The pancakes and omelet were fresh and delicious, but what really stood out was the warmth and kindness they showed us throughout our meals.||Thank you for making our time in Cusco so memorable!

Stay here only when the weather is temperate. We stayed in mid July and it was way too cold. The water for the showers were lukewarm at best. And the room itself was freezing cold. It was too cold to even sit on the commode. Also it’s situated on a busy street with cars driving down a cobbled street at all hours, makes for a bad sleep. Amenities are sparse at best. But it has a pretty courtyard and a local feel.

Very pretty grounds, nice staff, reasonable price, quality breakfast and a good location. There’s no shortage of hotels in Cusco, but I appreciated the pretty garden. There’s rooms themselves were simple but chic with comfortable beds. The only downside was the bathrooms were a bit outdated and musty and could use a refresh to match the rest of the hotel.

The staff of the El Balcón Cuzco Hostel went above and beyond for us and I want to thank them all. The rooms were clean and comfortable; food in the restaurant was home made and delicious. The location is perfect. Only 2-3 blocks from the central plaza. There are laundries, pharmacies and restaurants in a very close proximity. They stored our bags while we hiked to Machu Picchu and traveled to Puno at no cost.

This hotel is espectacular. Great customer service. Very charming with a very Cusco traditional environment.|Ladies at the breakfast coffee shop Juanita and Marlene would go out of their ways to make you feel at home.

Great hotel! Very accommodating. We stayed in Cusco and did a 4 day trek, they held our luggages and we felt very safe to leave our stuff at the hotel The rooms are cute and cozy, but just be aware that these rooms do get cold and you don’t get as much privacy as other hotels in the US. But we didn’t mind as we still felt safe, had privacy, had a great sleep and kept warm with their heater and blankets! The only downside was our room upstairs didn’t have wifi but we also didn’t bring this up with the staff, I’m sure if we did they would have resolved it! The staff are incredible, we booked El Balcón again once we came back from our trek and they had our luggage they were holding for us ready in our room. The food here is good too. If I come back to Cusco I’m definitely booking here.

My favorite place that I stayed in Cusco! I stayed in a garden room and the vibes were immaculate. Beautiful plants, hardwood floors in the rooms, and comfortable beds. The entire aesthetic of the hotel is very pleasant and natural; my friend and I wished that we had more nights here. The breakfast in the morning is nice and there is always tea available.
