We were planning to book another hotel to be with friends but their hotel was full and we booked at El Balcón. We are so lucky we did because our experience was amazing. We felt very much at home. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are so clean. The views are beautiful and we spent many mornings just enjoying sitting on the balcony overlooking the city morning and night. |The little restaurant with included breakfast is amazing. We got to know Juana, Marleni and Nelly and they made it feel like home. |I would look forward to staying here again!

We travelled the region for three weeks, and El Balcón was our favourite hotel out of all the places we stayed. The staff really is something special and sets this place apart – we were always greeted with warm smiles, attentive service and help with all our needs. Our room (the family suite) was both charming and comfortable, and we appreciated the fact that there were heaters in the bedrooms as well as hot water in the shower. The location is also quite central, within walking distance of everything in the city centre. All in all: A wonderful stay, and great value for money!

I am a little late writing this review, but I only have great things to say. |It was four of us, we had two rooms. Since the time I booked the reservation (I called the hotel, I wanted to make sure they had available what I was looking for), Anali was very helpful, professional, and accommodating. Francisca, confirmed my booking processing the payment and sent me the receipt and offered additional help (this doesn’t always happen).|When we arrived, Maria was able to rush our rooms and have them ready early (since they were already empty). |We stayed a total of three nights, one night and then two nights after our five day trek. We left our luggage at the hotel, when we came back, our luggage was already in our rooms. |My husband was not feeling well after the trek and we needed ice, Anali was able to get ice for us and arranged for the ice to be delivered to our room. |I have worked at luxury hotels for over ten years, and have stayed at multiple of their properties; based on my previous experience I can say the service I experienced at El Balcon was one of the best. Every one was very kind, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taking care of. Loved the amenities in the room, such as the bottles with water, basket with fruit, baby alpaca blanket, robes. Breakfast was simple, but fresh and good. Marleni, at the restaurant was very welcoming. We had a wonderful stay.|I will definitely stay at El Balcon when I go back to Cusco, I know I will be taken care of by the best. Thank you so much to the team for a memorable experience. |Rita L

Our stay at El Balcón, though brief, was truly excellent. The room was thoughtfully prepared, with comfortable beds, soft pillows, and cozy blankets that made us feel right at home. We especially loved the rustic charm. It created a peaceful atmosphere, made even more serene by the view of the garden outside our window.||A special thank you to Marleni and Nely for their outstanding service at the restaurant. The pancakes and omelet were fresh and delicious, but what really stood out was the warmth and kindness they showed us throughout our meals.||Thank you for making our time in Cusco so memorable!

We had the best experience at El Balcon! This was such a good stay and the staff was amazing at every corner. The restaurant, run by Juanita and assisted by Nelly was some of the best food we had in Peru. Everything is homemade, organic, and delicious!! ||There is also laundry services which was so helpful after days of dirty hiking gear. Thank you for your hospitality, El Balcon staff!!

Lovely boutique -style hotel within ten minutes walk of central Cusco but high up with fine views of the city. Rooms are comfortable and staff very helpful. Juanita and Nelly who run the restaurant serve up wonderful breakfasts and are attentive to your every need. They also provide evening meals too .

Stay here only when the weather is temperate. We stayed in mid July and it was way too cold. The water for the showers were lukewarm at best. And the room itself was freezing cold. It was too cold to even sit on the commode. Also it’s situated on a busy street with cars driving down a cobbled street at all hours, makes for a bad sleep. Amenities are sparse at best. But it has a pretty courtyard and a local feel.

The staff of the El Balcón Cuzco Hostel went above and beyond for us and I want to thank them all. The rooms were clean and comfortable; food in the restaurant was home made and delicious. The location is perfect. Only 2-3 blocks from the central plaza. There are laundries, pharmacies and restaurants in a very close proximity. They stored our bags while we hiked to Machu Picchu and traveled to Puno at no cost.
