We read somewhere that this restaurant had good food. The write up was correct! We arrived earlier than their 1:30 opening. We reserved a table and just walked around a bit. We were advised in what was the specialties of the restaurant. We had the Callos and an off menu item for the day - Grilled Pork Ribs. Both were amazing! I highly recommend this place for great food with a laid back classy ambience.

Super nice waitress and good food (we only had a dessert and tapas with the beer). But much more expensive than other places. In other reviews I saw that also other people think that 4 Euro for a large beer is way too much. The owner replied, that it´s so expensive because the standard of the place is so high and he by example has a beer glass cooler. Sorry Sir, at least your bathrooms are not even on a developing country standard. You have too surprisingly large unisex bathrooms, but none of them has a pissoir. The toilets not even have a seat! So the men are standing there, pee and make the toilet dirty and after that a women has to sit on it? They can clean it with toilet paper but there is nothing to sterilize it. I learned so far that Spanish bars and restaurants mostly don´t care much about the hygiene and cleanliness of their bathrooms (and it seems Spaniards in general are used to it or don´t care about their personal hygiene too) but this is a super low level. Disgusting! My wife refused to use the bathroom. In my home country they say: "take a look in a restaurant´s bathroom and you know how the kitchen looks like".

Great casual but upscale atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent! We had the bursts salad, which was a delicious and satisfying mixture of fresh ingredients, and pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto. Welcoming environment with outdoor and indoor seating. We would highly recommend this spot!

Had a short and excellent time at De Frede. Food portions were great and were an excellent size for a couple. Once we sat down, we ordered our food and beverages, and they were both brought out very quickly. Tapas, drinks, and meal. Ordered pasta and a side of meatballs, which were very good ,the meatballs were delicious and not oily or greasy. Highly recommend this out of the track restaurant. Super service from its waiters and thanks for the courteous service 👍🏾

A nice get-together spot in central Granada. Although we were told that sharing a table with strangers is not a norm in Andalucia, we were super lucky with two ladies accepting us at their table. So why not give it a try. Artichokes was great☆

Wow, amongst the best food we have tasted in Spain. Fresh and original. Ana helped us to select delicious dishes - artichokes, aubergines, house salad, seafood rice, all amazing. Very friendly atmosphere and gender neutral bathrooms. Highly recommended.

My wife Rosa Maria P. M. (D.E.P. R.I.P. 27/01/2025) loved this bar/restaurant and so do I after many visits over the past eight years. Consistently welcoming, with excellent drinks, tapas and meals. Put El Bar De Fede on your To Do List for your trip to Granada; visit for tapas early on in your stay and I guarantee that you will then book a table for a later meal inside or on the terrace. Enjoy.

Google
Attentive service. Traditional specialty food is recommended! However, the portion is massive to share with. Fresh sangria within croquettas.

Yelp
GRACIAS FEDE Y JOSE.

Yelp
A delicious dinner and wonderful service. We enjoyed every bit of food - croquetas, a super creative burrata salad, fried cod. The sangria was fresh and tasty. Our server was a charming young man from Hungary, someone we really liked chatting with. What a nice little corner of Granada!

Yelp
Randomly found this gem as we walked back to our hotel. Here are the highlights 1. Despite the fact that it was located further away, but still close to main attractions, at 8:30 on a Tuesday they still were pretty busy. Not packed but enough buzz for us to stop by. Since most things are closed on Monday's ad Tuesdays, that was a good sign for us. 2. We only stopped in for quick drinks and tapas and they delivered. The first tapa that came out was a fried paella ball. The second tapa was mushrooms and potatoes. Our neighbor ordered the egg plant tower but took one look at how massive it was and asked if we could take some. The food.... Chef's kiss. 3. Service was fast and the waiter was nice. He helped me pick out a wine sun d I had no idea wheat to order. 4. They are dog friendly

Yelp
Our experience at El Bar De Fede was not the greatest. I really debated whether to post this review, but here are the facts. First, we initially ordered a rice dish only to learn 10 minutes later that they could not prepare it. That's on top of the 40 minutes that is required for the rice dish that we did end up ordering. I'm fine with the 40, it's the 10 on top that was somewhat frustrating. Arroz de Marisco: The dish was fine, the problem was with the clam shells. I have no issue digging into a dish and separating bones and shells. But, the dish was full of little broken shells. It didn't seem like a big problem until it cracked a filling in my molar. One errant shell fragment or two can be easily overlooked, but a plate full of shell fragments is not a good thing.

Yelp
Saw so many great reviews for this place however our experience wasn't great, although we'd like to say that the waiters are very friendly, even when they were super busy. We came here for dinner on a Sunday and it was packed, but we managed to grab a table easily. We had two sangrias - delicious, and we got this stewed chicken wings tapas on the house. It was good, but not anything spectacular. We then ordered croquettes de jamon and grilled Iberian pork. The croquettes came out after a little bit and they were SUPER salty. The Iberian pork took over an hour to come out - maybe the waiters forgot because as soon as we brought it up, the pork dish came out within minutes, but it was a bit dry. This place is fun to grab a drink with friends but service is terribly slow and the food isn't all that amazing - plus it's pricey.

Yelp
Absolute gem. From the moment we walked in and were greater by the most friendly staff on the planet, to the wine and the food recs ... we were happy as humanly possible. This, after a blown rental car tire in Almeria and a late train trip and arrival at our hotel. Then the meal .. spectacular. I'm talking "why hasn't Michelin stopped by" good. Thank you to an amazing establishment for a surprise Granada discovery and a wonderful save to our challenging day.

Yelp
If you are in Granada you must stop at this great cozy restaurant. The food was espectacular and the service the same. Try the escargot Si están en Granada tienen que visitar este restaurante. La comida es excepcional y el servicio también. Ha sido una de las mejores comidas de este viaje. No se olviden de pedir los caracoles.

Yelp
We came in for lunch and were not disappointed. We ordered a few Tinto Verranos and they came with the complementary tapas, which were delicious on their own. I had the menu of the day, which was a great value at 10 euros. My sister had the tomato salad which was an enormous serving. All of the servings were very generous. As usual in Europe, the waiters are busy, but manage to take care of everyone.

Yelp
My MisterBnB host recommended this Tapas bar and it was one of the best I've been to in Spain! Very popular for a reason. It was packed but I managed to get a bar spot. The Ribera Del Duero wine was amazing. I had the Rabo de Toro (oxtail) and the Asadura al Vino Tinto (pork liver). Both were delicious, as was the complimentary Arroz de Marisco.

Yelp
Probably the best restaurant in Granada. Waiters are very friendly and efficient, food is delicious and prices are unbeatable for the portion they offer (half portion is enough for 2 people) Best pulpo a las brasas in Spain and probably in many other countries. The usual free tapa with a drink is expected here. For dessert we asked half portion of ice cream and a huge plate came to us filled with yogurt and honey. Amazing place!

Yelp
Awesome place, very mixed crowd. Older, younger, straight, gay, unsure, etc. Tapas were great. Best I have had here because it was a more towards a continental pallet . Meat balls were awesome. Hip crowd.

Yelp
Excellent choice for authentic local food. The riberas del dueros wine was fantastic. Very crowded on a Saturday night but service was fantastic. We ordered rigatoni carbonera and secreto iberico a la parilla. We were not disappointed in the slightest. Come and dine here. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Overpriced and mediocre, we went to another local joint and got a 3.50euro omelette that tasted better than their 11euro omelette.
