El Barrio De San Roque

This place is good. My view is rated on the quality and execution of the food on the day, so it’s a bit lower than it might have otherwise been. We ordered the dishes in the pics and video. Overall they were good but given the Michelin mentions, we were expecting more. For instance, the octopus was not very tender (we’ve had it all over Spain and this was the lowest quality we’ve had), the slow cooked pork was also not tender and the depth of flavour was not great. The scallop was good and the fried anchovies great too. I’d recommend this place but might opt for the paella dishes which I think are unlikely to be poorly executed at this place. In short, check it out but take care with your choice. Good value for money too.

We came here after a recommendation from the hotel we are staying and it was an amazing experience. Staff is very polite and attentive, making the whole experience memorable. The desert “chocolate egg with mango” is a must!!!

Michelin star for a reason. Amazing service. The food was amazing as well, with decent portion sizes! It felt too cheap for the quality, I have definitely been other places where it was just as expensive and much worse I recommend the carpaccio with ice cream! Just discovered a new favorite appetiser

So, went on a road trip from San Sebastian to Cartagena and hit up a bunch of restaurants along the way. But let me tell you, nothing beats this restaurant. The food there is just amazing, the service is super nice, and the prices are totally reasonable. Plus, Gabriel was very helpful and professional as well. Seriously, couldn't find a single fault. If you're ever cruising down that route, you gotta check this place out. It's a winner, hands down.

The food is really good, hats down for the chef. Service was okay, good wine selection, reasonably priced. If you're a foodie, this is a place for you. Recommended.

We made a reservation at 8.30pm and were naturally the first at the restaurant for dinner. Sometimes that's a privilege for foreigners dining in Spain to have the whole place to ourselves, before the locals stream in later. The food was worthy of its Michelin plate recommendations. The calderon, a regional specialty variation of the paella, was the first for us. We asked for less salt, and the flavours were just nice for us. Enjoyed all the dishes ordered. The staff were excellent and welcoming, and took time to explain each dish. Full marks for service.

Exceptional service and delicious food! It was an amazing gastronomical experience and I am recommending this place to everyone who likes to try local delicacies with the combination of the culinary art! I also want to express my gratitude not only to the chef of this restaurant, also to all the waiting staff who provided extraordinary service and attention to the details and made my family and I feel very special! Truly in a league of its own. We've eaten several times at this restaurant in the past few years. Every time we've been met with both excellent service and food. The food is very well presented and is always of high quality. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The venue looks gorgeous as well. If you're in Cartagena, visit this place!
