El Beaterio Guest House

What a lovely little gem! The hotel was located in the heart of the Zona Colonial and it was close to everything. Staff was super friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing, one of the most comfortable I had the chance to sleep in. Staff was always ready to give me information and to check things. The place is gorgeous and you can choose to have your breakfast on the inside patio. Breakfast is simple, but delicious.

Charming hotel in the historic district with nice breakfast and coffee each morning on a beautiful shady patio. The passion fruit juice was delicious. The rooms were comfortable and cool. Great location walking distance to so much to see in the colonial city. The people were so friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

My friend and I stayed in El Beaterio for 2 nights on our way in and out of Santo Domingo. Great location in central historic district. Comfortable rooms and great breakfast included. Helpful friendly staff. History surrounding you here. I will return this gem again! Terrific bargain.

Everything was amazing! Location, super old fashioned guest house and museum; lots of history! Rooms spacious and well maintained, bed super comfortable, pillows as well. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, such cute people! Breakfast is simple and tasty! They also have a nice and quiet terrace, go and check it out! As the doors are old and not fully covering, mosquitoes enter the rooms and they are a lot. Also seems private, but not fully.

Excellent small hotel in the heart of colonial district. Rooms surround lovely outdoor courtyard with rooftop area. Only discovered after our stay. Would highly recommend. Rooms comfortable and clean. Serves good breakfast included. Would stay here again.

Amazing service! They actually makes you feel like home, they’re kind and helpful and go beyond your expectations. |The rooms are big and beautiful. The architecture and history of the building are astonishing. You will stay in a piece of history.

We stayed at 1st floor room, it has a lot of character as in old styled building, but no actual glass window so it makes the room look like a dungeon without the natural light. The shower is good. It has hot shower, the drain was a little slow to drain, but the host was quick to come fix. Wifi works good outside of the room, inside of the room, not so good. The breakfast was quite good, You can choose either fried egg, boil egg or omelet. They give you coffee, bread, cheese, ham, muffin, banana bread, chopped fruits, passion fruit juice. Location is great! Walking distance to everything in the colonial zone. It is also surprisingly quiet and the bed is super comfortable.

Stayed for 2 nights. Historic building (old convent) located in the Zona Colonial, within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. My room was fairly quiet. Good A/C. Minimal room amenities: small safe (too small for laptop), no electric kettle or minifridge. Decent desk area. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very inconveniently located power sockets: under the desk and night stand or low on the wall away from any furniture. |In the bathroom the sink was partially clogged and draining very slowly; it was eventually fixed after two requests. Shower with hot water but low pressure.|Wifi with multiple hiccups. Breakfast buffet with limited selection: excellent fresh fruit, but everything else wasn't that great. They make fresh coffee and eggs but service is slow.
