El Boliche de Alberto is by far the best steakhouse in Bariloche. If you are looking for outstanding Argentine beef, this place is an absolute must. The steaks are of exceptional quality, perfectly grilled, and incredibly juicy — exactly how a great steak should be. The service is excellent and attentive. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive, without being intrusive. They are also happy to help with recommendations regarding the different cuts of meat and cooking points. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, with a special highlight being the grill located right in the middle of the restaurant. Watching the grill masters at work adds to the experience and gives the place a truly traditional Argentine feel. A small but important tip for future guests: the side dishes are very, very large. Unless you have a huge appetite, it’s a good idea to share them — otherwise, you might run out of space for the amazing steak. It was the most delicious meat I’ve ever had in my life! Both the chorizo and the ribeye steak we ordered were absolutely incredible. Chef Gustavo and his teammate are truly talented. Gustavo himself took our order and was exceptionally attentive and kind – I’ve never met a chef who gives such personalized, VIP-level attention to his guests. The waiters were also incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for everything, and keep that beautiful smile, Gustavo!

This place lived up to the hype in opinion. Absolute top quality Argentine meat at a solid price for the American traveler. Service is friendly and like you would expect in the region, extremely laid back. We sat down the minute they opened at 8pm and left after 10pm with no problem at all, despite people waiting. Everything was delicious.

Amazing place with nice staff and incredible food (meat). Surprisingly enough the chef comes out and take your order while the waiters take care of beverages and servings. Get there in time to get a table, we got there 15 minutes before they opened and there was already a line in front of us.

Great piece of steak, fast service and helpful waiters. I would recommend getting a salad instead of fries with your meat, its too much with both. Portions are very big. Good value with a glass of wine too, cheap if you dont want a full bottle. Also, either book a table or show up just when they open. It filled up very quickly.

Amazing bife de chorizo. The morcilla (blood sausage) was not very good, not enough garlic and a weird consistency. The lamb was ok, a bit dry. Mixed salad was excellent. Very good flan. Go with friends so you can share. The salad and desserts were plenty big enough to share between three people. Go before 9 pm or there are long lines.

We ordered three large meat dishes for four people - fillet, entrecote and sirloin. It was tough but we finished almost everything. The best was the fillet.

I ate at a variety of places in Bariloche, and this place was by far the best. Great, lively atmosphere, very attentive, friendly service, and the food was fantastic. We had Bife de Ojo and Bife de Chorizo, and they were some of the best I’ve ever had in Argentina. It was recommended to me by a few different locals, and they were 100% spot on. There can be a wait after 21:00-21:30, but it’s definitely worth it. Luckily, I went in a little earlier at 20:30 and we sat right down.

Traditional Argentinian Food Liked the seasoning of meat. They serving of Mash Potato and French Fries are Huge. Good value for money. The employees are super friendly. Highly recommended! Go early when opening so you don't wait outside for table.

We loved every single item of food ordered. The meat was all great quality and juicy- even the chicken was fantastic! We will definitely be back for more. Note, the restaurant does not take reservations and there is a line that begins forming down the street even before the restaurant opens.

Honestly, it's a shame that this well-known restaurant has such poor customer service! I live in Bariloche and will never recommend this restaurant again. I dined here with a group of 15, and due to a language barrier, I took the initiative to place the order myself to simplify things. Unfortunately, we ended up with one extra steak by mistake. When the waiter came to our table, we asked if he could take it back, but he insisted he couldn't since it had "already touched the table," despite the fact that he had just placed it there! It was a standard piece of meat cooked medium; he could have easily put it back on the grill. To make matters worse, three of our orders were forgotten. The most frustrating part was when we waited 40 minutes for our change after the bill was presented! They had a bus waiting outside to take some guests to the airport, and the staff completely ignored us. Three of us asked for updates several times, but received no assistance. They merely continued chatting amongst themselves and told us "two more minutes." In the end, we decided to share the extra steak among the group, but instead, we received an additional bill for the steak separately. I had to end up paying for it myself because there was no way a group of 15 could collect 3000 from each person, especially since some of us had paid with cards. Bottom line: They are WAY overpriced! The service is below average and definitely not justified by what you pay. For a better experience, I highly recommend trying "La Parilla de Tony" or "Alto El Fuego" instead.

Great restaurant in Bariloche near the lake. You can have whatever you want to eat, as long as its beef. Waiters are friendly and welcoming. They take your order and then grill the beef on the parilla. The empanadas and steak are excellent.

This place is GOLD. If you are looking for an authentic, Argentine asado....this is the way to go. Don't go any further. We got lamb, cow, and pig options. ALL delicious with a side of bread, chimichurri sauce, and soda. I love this place and am dying to go back.

Wow.. tenderloin blew us away, flavorful, juicy, and tender. Completed salad was also excellent! Portions were very large. My half order was very filling. Wine was superb!!!

Excellent choice! Entire meal was delicious, would order everything again. The steak was perfectly seasoned and required no salt or pepper. Nice grill flavor as well. Patagonia beer is served here which is also excellent.

Pasta itself homemade. But zero flavor. Very casual and no salads or soup. Just pasta. Feels like a cafeteria environment

Fantastic place to eat! Short wait but we'll worth it. Very local atmosphere. Very friendly staff and even better food! Consider ordering full portion to share. French Fries come in HUGE portions. Copa Alberto for desert was delicious!

My partner and I came here on a recommendation and we were very happy we did. We ordered the tenderloin steak along with a salad, fries, and a bottle of red wine. The meat served "vuelta y vuelta" aka American-style rare was some the best I've ever had. No complaints about the rest of the food either. The service was good, and the bill (with tip) rang up just under $30. We left very happy and very full.

Popular grill, busy as soon as the doors opened st 8pm with big family style seating and huge portions of meat. We got a simple half order of beefeye steak and chicken. Both were incredibly delicious with just a garnish of gristle and good tender flavor. The side orders of fries or the like, were mountain-high and far too big for any group under 3 or more. Bread was simple but tasty. If you are a cheese lover, one must get the melted provolone with onions and tomatoes. It's delicious and accompanies grilled meat well. Come with a big appetite, lots of friends and time to enjoy a good meal.

While staying in Bariloche for 5 nights we kept coming back here for meals. We tried Don Milano (huge disappointment) and Taberna Gallega Breogan (underwhelming), but after being greatly disappointed we decided to stick with what we knew. The meat, wine and staff are amazing. You also can't beat the price and portions. I highly recommend the blood sausage, tenderloin, skirt steak, and lamb. The tenderloin basically melts in your mouth. Best meat I've ever eaten!

Great steaks at this place. My girlfriend and I enjoyed bife chorizo, skirt stake, French fries and salad. The only two hiccups were that my girlfriend ordered her steak "bien cocido" (well done) but it was prepared as medium. However, the "parrillero" was happy to continue grilling it and left it exactly as my girlfriend wanted. The second problem was the waiting time. We waited long 40 min because we showed up without reservation. We had to wait outside and it was a bit cold. It would be great if they had offered something to clients to cope with the cold weather. A small coffee for example? That would have made a huge difference. My score is 3.6 out of 5 stars. Good service, fantastic food, but the disregard for the comfort of clients waiting for a table and the unforgivable mistake in the cooking of a steak (it's supposed to be the best steak house in town!!) lowered the score for me.

Not worth the looooong wait for a table. Tried 2x before getting a reasonable wait time. At 9pm it as 2 hr wait. At 2pm a 25 min wait was 45 mins then no waiter for 10 mins to order drinks. Hailed a server to order then 15 mins for steaks to arrive. Lomo de bite as grilled fine, médium was more like medium rare. My steak was fine but the piece my friend got was a little tough for filet. Salad and fries were large portions. Chimichurri is very tasty. Extra charge for more chimichurri sauce. The host taking names was so busy he made no eye contact. Serve staff was not attentive as many of the diners were hailing anyone you could get to get service or the check. On our first try with a 2 hr wait we decided to walk around looking for other options and found a Parrilla around the corner that sat us immediately and had a very pleasant outdoor dinner experience at 10:15 pm. It's ARG dinner starts at 8:00pm LOL

They say one's sense of smell has a powerful memory. Perhaps one's sense of taste is as strong. It's been since 2016 and can still recall the taste of the best steak I have ever had. I may go back to San Carlos de Baraloche just to visit Alberto's.

This is the best restaurant in Bariloche. If I could go back I would have dinner here every night. We ordered the lomo that is shared by 2 and it was still so much meat. As mentioned in the other review the sides are enormous and d-lish. Including wine our total bill was less than $40 (you can make your money go farther if you exchane US dollars in the blue market and not at the casas de cambio).

Our Second time here. If you love steak is a great place. However service is not as good. The hostess is very rude (lady at the front). She needs help with customer service. One of the servers as well (bowl Guys who I guess is the manager) very rude as well, he has no manners with guests when they aren't ready to order. Everyone else very pleasant. The guy who you order drinks from is very good and fast. He is one of the best guys there. Other servers are very good as well.

Perfect for pasta (and maybe a little meat). We had lunch there while traveling through Bariloche. I had spaghetti with meat sauce and my husband enjoyed his potato gnocchi stuffed with basil and cheese. We cleaned our plates and were ready to head to the airport after that! Clearly, this is a popular local place. There were couples of all ages and families thoroughly enjoying their meals. Also, they were doing a brisk take-out business during lunch. One reason we chose to stop there was because my late father's name was Albert. Soooooo glad we did! An extra "plus" is that you can see the guys making fresh pasta through the window. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is local, clean and serves excellent fresh pasta. Next time, though, I would consider ordering a meat side dish to share with our individual pasta dishes (like I saw the elderly couple at the next table doing)!

Probably the best steak i've eve had. We were recommended this place by an employee at a bookstore near by and decided to check it out. We were the first customers to arrive for the evening at about 8pm. Within 10 or so minutes, the restaurant gradually started to fill up. It appeared as though most of the customers were tourists as well. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was absolutely amazing! Flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Expect to spend about an hour or so here and enjoy! Good price when you break it down to US dollars too.

GREAT steak. GREAT service. It's complicated to make a review about this place, because everything is terrific! Go for the Ojo de Bife, you can't go wrong. Bife de Chorizo and the Vacio are great cuts to try as well. But the Ojo de Bife is second to none. And finish your awesome experience with the "Copa Alberto" dessert.

Mamma Mia whatta a feast! In a nutshell, carnivors' paradise. The meats are AMAZING!!! Ate here twice and always ordered something else. Skirtstake or entraña definitely stands out. So juicy and flavourful makes my mouth water to the mere memory of it. Go ahead and order those fries. You know you want them. Soon enough you'll realize what this rave is all about. The flipside of this place is that vegeterians/vegans have nothing to do here. Veg dishes are so bland and boring but this seems to be more of a trend in most of the parillas across the country.

The best chicken ever tasted. I should preface this by saying that I don't eat red meat. My wife had an asado and couldn't stop praising it. I got a grilled chicken. The quantity was huge. And I have never tasted such delicious chicken. No, I am not doing justice to it; I didn't even think in my wildest dreams that chicken could be so tasty. I can return to Bariloche just to eat here.

Arguably the best steak I've ever had. A crowd wad formed on the sidewalk 20 minutes before opening. The place was jam packed the second the doors opened. The servers were a little rushed and suggestive but the food was a 10 of 10. They know what works. Also had great wine to accompany the meal. No one leaves hungry as the portions are extremely generous. Do not miss This place if you are in Bariloche.

The best steak I have had in Argentina. The prices were not terrible outlandish for steak. They have a lovely list of wines that pair with the steaks as well.

The steak is the best we have ever had and a great example of what Argentina has to offer. It's really reasonably priced and the sides are enough for two to share. We shared a bottle of wine and just loved being there! The atmosphere is surprisingly casual and has more than one location in the same area so we didn't have to wait at all.

The most extraordinary parrilla! Grass-fed ribeye steaks were mouth-watering. As good as (if not better than) Luger's in Brooklyn or Gibsons in Chicago. The steaks! The sides! The service! The ambience! The delicious malbec!!! The steaks were so good that after we went through round one our party of 10, as full as we were, decided to have round two and shared four more ribeyes! And the best was when the tab came: Even with the extra steaks the total bill per head was what one might pay for fast casual carb-loaded chain dining in the States. We had lots of steaks in Buenos Aires, and this steakhouse in out-of-the-way Bariloche beat them all! I'm daydreaming about next time.

Beef is absolutely delicious! Didn't like the non reservation policy because it gets crowded at the entrance.

Great meat and wine selection! Sausage, ribeye, chorizo steak....HUGE PORTIONS and good prices. DELICIOUS!!!!
