Classic motel centrally located near many wineries. Great room rates compared to other nearby hotels. The property has nice amenities including pool, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit. Most of the rooms and exterior areas appear to have been recently renovated. The single story building facing the pool is currently under renovation. I would definitely stay here again.

This motel was so nice. I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. The breakfast bar was disappointing, but the fruit was good. Also, the name of this motel was confusing. It should be La Bonita or El Bonito.

THE Motel was so friendly, and the pool was good, and breakfast was a nice fruit plate. The bed was comfy. I would go there again

This property double charged me. I had already pre paid when I made the reservation through booking and they charged again. When questioning them during check out the front lady was disrespectful with me saying it wasn’t doubled charged even when showing her my credit card spends (same value charged during reservation and during the stay). El Bonita has good facilities but unfortunately won’t give me my money back.

The only thing I would say is that there was no water in the room for the coffee machine. Staff was kind. Breakfast was simple coffee, donuts, and fruit. Since its a venue spot / tourist area there is also a speed trap just outside the hotel, so be aware of quick changes in speed limit. Hotel was lovely. Strawberries were sweet.

I am 88 and my wife is 76 with mobility issues, hence the need for accessibility. The range of accommodations was limited and for a weekend, $400 seemed like a bit high for a night, but it was one of the least expensive. Midweek, the price is ~ $160. Great accessible parking and restroom, for room #30. Adequate flat screen TV with most channels but no TCM. No sleeper control. Bed comfortable. Keurig coffeemaker, with absolutely horrible coffee and a powdered "creamer" that served to lighten the coffee, but tasted like chalk. No artificial sweetener. AM continental breakfast featured the same quality coffee and whitener. A scrumptious looking croissant with no butter or jam. Beautiful strawberries and bananas. Yogurt, but no sugar free (or less) light choice.||At $160-$180, this would have been an acceptable choice, 3.5 stars. As it is, it is memorable for being a good income producer for its owner. It was clean. The Valley Cafe provided us with great breakfasts, and the TV showed the UCLA Bruins winning their first Big10 game. The wedding we came for was very happy, and the town appeared to be worth exploring... just keep your motel/hotel expectations under control, or GO MIDWEEK.

Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, well kept property. We loved this motel!

I stayed at the El Bonita Motel last week, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. They gave us an early check-in upon request, and they upgraded us to a better room just because one was available. Complimentary breakfast is a great spread - lots of fresh fruit and pastries. The location is fantastic if you're staying in St. Helena! 10 minute walk to main street and within walking distance of lots of wineries! 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

Yelp
We were coming to town for an event and didn't want to drive home after so we decided to find a room for the night. We knew being in St Helena/Napa we'd probably pay about $500+/night. When I stumbled upon $200/night I was leery but after reading reviews I became optimistic and booked a room. We ended up arriving into town earlier than check-in so we called ahead and asked if early check-in was possible. The receptionist said yes! We arrived about 1 1/2 hr early. Our room was ready and check-in was very smooth. Receptionist was very pleasant. It appears renovations are taking place and we assumed that's why our room was so inexpensive for the area. We knew based on reviews the rooms were 'older' but as long as it was clean we didn't care. Our room seemed fairly updated with newer renovations. The bathroom was updated and the interior walls seemed too. The furniture was nice but most importantly, the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our short stay very much. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Yelp
For the money we thought it was pretty good. It was $472 for the night but in St.Helena that's actually a bargain . A plus was we only stayed one night . Most hotels in that area have a 2 night minimum . Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Big remodeled bathrooms with large soaking tub / shower . Pool and spa were well taken care of as well . Continental breakfast in the lobby each day too.

Yelp
Nice location, kind staff, good amenities, felt like home. You're literally right by all the popular wineries !

Yelp
We picked the El Bonita Motel to stay at while in Napa Valley. I loved the nostalgia feel of the motel with the flat roof, stucco facade and neon sign. However, our room had little to be desired. The room was very small, smelled like mold or mildew, old carpet, peeling wallpaper and outdated. The bathroom was super tiny. Overpriced at $400 per night for what you get. We had an issue with our sink drain and ended up with a floor full of water. Front desk employee wasn't very helpful and suggested we soak it up with our bath towels. The next morning they offered to move us and gave us a $20 refund for the hassle. The new room was much better. Although still small, it had been somewhat remodeled and didn't smell. They do offer a small continental breakfast with fresh baked goods but no toaster, butter or jellies. The gas fire pits were nice to sit by in the evenings sipping on our wine and relaxing.

Yelp
I have been to Napa several times and always have trouble finding affordable lodging. There aren't many Airbnbs around hotels seem overpriced, so we usually end up staying further away. We were in town for a wedding at Tre Posti about 1/2 mile from here. I started looking on Google Maps for potential places to stay that were walking distance from the venue and came across El Bonita! I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this was for a little Napa motel. Check in is usually at 3pm but we were able to get in early around 2pm. You can park right outside your room which was nice. There are pretty fountains on the property and they have a nice pool/hot tub area which I wish we had time to utilize. There is also a fire pit by the front entrance that guests can use. The room itself was small but had everything we needed. The area was quiet despite being right next to the main road through Napa. The best part is the location! We were so happy to walk to and from the wedding reception. They do offer a small breakfast to hotel guests, it wasn't much but was still better than nothing. They had coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, and a few pastries. The total for our Queen room was $199 before taxes but we thought it was totally worth it to be in such a great location. It is not the nicest place I've ever stayed, but I was happy enough with the experience to say that I would book again in the future!

Yelp
"The Elbo" is what the locals call, "The El Bonita Motel. The rooms are clean and it has a sweet charm of the 50's era. It is situated across from the farmstead restaurant, and a short walk to the "Azteca taqueria".

Yelp
We were only wine tasting a couple of days and just needed a convenient place to sleep (not hang out). The El Bonita Motel was close to where we planned to be eating and drinking, so we decided to give it a try. Prices were affordable for this area. This place had the look and feel of a roadside motel from the past. The rooms were clean, rather spacious, and quiet. They came with a microwave and coffee maker. The King Size bed was comfortable. This motel worked well for what we were looking for ... on this particular trip.

Yelp
Stayed here Fri night for BottleRock 2023. We arrived @noon, 3 hrs b4 checkin/room ready, so left car, hopped on free vine a block away, arrived at BR entrance an hour later. Easy. After BR we took free vine back, arrived @midnight, they left our key on office door outside. Front desk let us know they'd do such if we arrived late. Room was huge and VERY clean. Only negative was we had to kill a few mosquitoes in the bathroom. King Bed was wonderful, very comfy and with extra pillows. Room had good darkening curtains and was quiet. There was a little separate room with a kitchenette. Good size fridge, microwave (we had post festival soup), sink, coffee and maker, wine glasses, opener, water glasses, silverware, plates, bowls, dish soap/sponge and kitchen towels (no paper towels but we had some from the car). There was shampoo, lotion and shower gel (low quality but existed) but no hand soap for the sink, that was odd. Luckily I had a bar soap with me. Lol We brought breakfast but they do provide a big simple spread. We enjoyed on our patio. Pool, hot tub & sauna looked inviting. Next time! Staff was warm and helpful,

Yelp
Smelled like stale water. Huge cockroaches and over priced. Plan a day trip or stay in American canyon.

Yelp
We stay here every time we visit Napa Valley. Is very affordable compared to almost everywhere else in the valley. It's got an old world feel, but the rooms are clean and the water is hot...really who is spending that much time in their room in Napa?? If you are looking for luxury...go somewhere else. We usually try to get the garden rooms at the back which also have a small kitchenette. It's centrally located in St. Helena's. Only downsides are the continental breakfast (not much there) and the WiFi...although they have it, you are better off without. It connects but nothing comes up. It appears they,be done some recent renovations. They added a fire pit circle outside the office and cleaned up the grounds a bit. It also looks like our room was recently painted. Some rooms have old world tapestries with monks and other figures on them which stare down at you...it's a bit creepy. Would be nice if they portrayed some local artist paintings or photography promoting local wineries. Still within theme and would help the local economy.

Yelp
The location is terrific and the grounds of the hotel pretty charming. My gf and I were there last weekend (10/19) and this motel is the perfect economic example of the "offer and demand" principle. This hotel in any other location would be a Motel 6; the continental breakfast is worth roughly $4, the bed sheets are rough, the bed and general accommodation a 2-star rating, and they charged $470 for ONE NIGHT. I had to go for work in town that weekend which is why i stayed there, and will get a portion reimbursed but it's definitely not worth anywhere close to that. I stayed at this property several months ago and felt $220/night was excessive, but it's St Helena. But $470...under no circumstances should that property charge that much for his mediocre motel...yeah I know I paid it. Stay there only if you have to, otherwise, look at options in Napa or Santa Rosa.

Yelp
Wonderful location, super quaint with big ol' trees! The staff was helpful (forgot my toothpaste and they had little travel sizes) and friendly. The bed was comfy. The only reason for less one star was the room was in need of a little TLC - water stains on the walls and pretty old cruddy tile in the shower. But we felt it was clean : )

Yelp
This is quite the charming little motel. We had a wedding to go to at V. Sattui, and the moment I got the save the date I booked this motel. And I'm soooo glad that I did. The rates were great, by far the best in the Napa Valley. The location could not have been more perfect. We could have walked to Sattui, there was a brunch the following morning that we did walk to. Very convenient. Our room was on the small side, but it didn't really matter. We just used it to sleep and get ready. We had a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was a bit bouncy, makes me think it's older. But again, wasn't anything terrible. The property is adorable. A pool that stays open until 11pm with a hot tub and sauna. And in the back there is a really cute fire pit. Check in was simple, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a convenient location, with a great price. We will be back.

Yelp
This is a very nice motel to stay out - lovely grounds. It was a slow start with receptionist and worker only speaking Spanish when we arrived and continued talking until they were finished...a bit off putting (funny though, understand the language, though they did not know that)! I am only giving the motel 3 stars as it needs a bit of help. We didn't know the sliding door didn't lock until after we came back from dinner - finally found you had to push a stopper to the far right of the door on the sliding grill to lock it. A few of the knobs on the dresser and desk either fell off or were not on which was nominal. However, we also took some time to figure out the shower - one must pull the knob out toward you in order to turn on the water and it takes a bit of a tug to get it on. It might help if the motel management would put a note on the sliding door and also by the shower to advise travelers how to manage those two items....if that were done, I'd up my review another 1.5 stars!

Yelp
Totally fine motel. Stayed here when we went to French Laundry and it was half the cost of staying closer to the restaurant. It was clean, no frills but comfortable enough. There is a little patio off each room and common seating areas. The breakfast in the morning is pretty minimal , expect cereal, fruit, coffee, wrapped pastries. There's a coffee maker in the room. They provide toiletries. The walls are a little thin but we still managed to sleep pretty well. It's totally fine budget conscious choice for the area. But why is it EL BonitA?

Yelp
What a great value! Cute old school motel with all the comforts you need. Very comfortable king size bed, huge bathtub, very clean large standard room. Nice small patio out the back and a fire pit in the common area. Didn't use the pool but it looked nice and clean. In easy driving distance from many wineries and restaurants. Will definitely be staying here again!

Yelp
Great location!! Clean, quaint, low key. We were in town for a wedding and several of the ladies stayed here. Rates were just right and about half the price of those in Napa. Easy in and out and close to anything! Light complimentary breakfast, juice and coffee in the lobby each morning. Rooms were clean, bathroom/shower spacious and great water pressure on the shower. We enjoyed the pool one day and the fire pit one evening. The grounds and flowers are gorgeous. Ice location was a little inconvenient. I've read other reviews of staff being rude. I didn't find anyone overly friendly, but wouldn't call anyone rude. Even had to get new key cards and the young man was very nice about it. I did buy better toilet paper at Safeway on recommendation. Agreed!! One grade shy of sandpaper!!

Yelp
A little noisy since your right on the highway, but this place in close to where our wine clubs are located which makes it very convenient. They are in the process of doing some upgrades during our last visit in early February 2023. Rooms are pretty small for sure yet comfortable. Nothing fancy here, just a quaint little motel. Pricing seems high, but it's Napa which we've come to expect.

Yelp
While the sheets were very clean, the comforter had old blood stains that should have been removed long ago. The room was clean, but it was not serviced for half of our stay. The location was excellent for our needs.

Yelp
We went in and booked our reservation through orbitz and for some reason orbitz did not send our reservation to the hotel. When arriving at 11:00 PM you can imagine the frustration having to deal with this. The gentleman at the front desks named Mitchell was the absolute best. He handled our problem as quickly as possible. Customer service was beyond amazing. If all the other employees of this hotel are half as great as him then this place is completely set. 10/10 recommend

Kenzie M.

Yelp
Great place especially if you're going to Coon institute. They even give you a discount

Yelp
Convenient to downtown. Heated Pool and Jacuzzi a nice bonus. Housekeeping staff friendly and helpful. Front desk struggles with getting the bill right and is rude which is a big change from prior stays but at least the donuts are yummy.

Yelp
Room #16, Arrived on Wednesday 12/6/23. Intending to stay two nights. We were visiting friends in local, Angwin when we decided to go check into the Bonita Inn. Afternoon staff was very accommodating and professional. Entering room #16, we found the window shutters damaged and inoperable. I reported it to the front office immediately in order to not be held in suspicion. I stated that I was able manipulate the wooden shutter to close. Staff was very apologetic and even offered a discount offer. Declining, since I was able to get the device to close, we were very happy to continue our two-night stay in room #16. We went out to dinner with our local friends from Angwin and returned back that evening to our room for the night's stay. We entered to find the bathroom floor flooded with sewage water on the bathroom floor. Obviously, my wife and I could not stay in this inoperable room. I went to the front office to report the problem with the restroom situation. Entering the lobby, there was no one at the front counter. It's dark Like they are closed. I called the office number, only to hear the phone ring in the background. No answer. Standing there and stumped about what to do... I then hear the toilet flush and this man named "Fred" walks out. He says nothing as he returns to the front counter. I am standing there a bit stunned about his obvious frustrated look at me, I begin to tell him about the problem with room #16. Fred- "Well there's nothing I can do about it". "I'll can see if there's another room available". Fred- "You need to return both keys to me before I can put you in another room. Immediately, I think, why not just cancel out the two prior plastic key cards and accommodate the request- right? Made me feel like I was not worthy of his personal issues directed at me. I now start to get upset that this guy is giving me a serious hassle due to their room problems. I reach in my pocket and hand him one of the two previous key cards issued for room #16 and return back to look for the second card. Searching, we cannot find the second card. We realize that we left the second card in a jacket during our prior visiting, in Angwin. I return to speak to Fred in the office on the matter and I tell him where the second card is. Walking into the office I tell him... Me-"Look, it's late in the night. I am not going all the way back up the mountain to Angwin just to retrieve the second card." He gets this weirdo attitude and start to disregard me just standing there waiting for his next comment. Not saying a word, he then handed me keys to room #12, without another word. Standing there in shock how this is playing out, I ask him point blank if this going to be a problem? Assuming that he can understand this customers frustration over the whole Bonita Inn experience. I then ask him; you are not going to say anything else about this. No apology for this inconvenience- NO NOTHING? Fred- "Like what, that I think you are being an ---hole!" Needless to say, it did not end well from there. I was already frustrated due to the window blinds issue prior with #16. Now the sewage flooding, and this guy's verbal attack was shocking and confusing. I asked what did you say? He was happy to repeat the comment, this time with a huge smirk on his face accompanied with a serious attitude. I am tripping out on this guy and his apparent problem towards me, the request and apparent hassle that he is being asked to do his job. Me- "Can you give me your supervisors name?" Fred- "Yeah, his Name is Mitchell!" Me- "Well, does this Mitchell, have a last name? Fred- "Yeah, he does. It's Mitchell kiss my a-s!" Then he barks outload, Fred- "I don't give a S--t about this place, I just work here". Eyes wide open, I turn to walk out the door- Fred then barks out with F---you. I return the commentary as I am exiting to now Room #12 and try to just get away from this guy. Walking out to begin moving our bags from #16 to #12, Fred follows me out the door. Fred- Just to let you know, I am going to call the police and have you escorted off the property!" Me- "For what, your terrible customer service?" Fred- "Yeah, and f__k you. Returned to the room, threw our bags in car and left pissed off. Great Couple of night. Thanks, Fred, for the education.

Yelp
This is a nice little motel in the Napa Valley. Nothing "fancy" but it offers clean and quiet rooms that come equipped with a fridge and microwave for a reasonable price. If you want the hustle and bustle of downtown Napa this is NOT the place, but if you're looking for a reprieve from the out of state tourists and want a decent place to stay for a good price this is it. My partner said I would be remiss if I didn't mention to bring your own TP as the 120 fine grit sand paper they have on the roll is quite hard on the bum!

Brian S.

Yelp
Several reviews mention the road noise- and there is certainly road noise, especially until around 10PM or so. Our room was closest to the highway so our place was likely louder than other rooms. Front desk was very nice and the rooms were clean, though they could use an update. The microwave and coffee maker is a common amenity, but it's nice that it is there. Also - they have a continental breakfast every morning - so also nice. The back courtyard seemed inviting but we didn't take the. opportunity to enjoy the chairs and gas firepit. If we return we will definitely ask for a room further from the highway.

Yelp
This motel continues to be my go-to in Napa Valley. Reasonably priced, comparatively, it has dog-friendly rooms, yet avoids being rundown. Our downstairs room had a nice little patio out back and bathroom windows that open for fresh air. Nice TV with cable, microwave, fridge and plenty of outlets. The complimentary continental breakfast was decent for these Covid days: cereal, yogurt, basic fresh fruit and some packaged cookies, in addition to coffee and tea.

Yelp
This is our go to place when we stay in Napa! It's a hidden gem among gems. Step back in time to the Art Deco era and enjoy this sweet hotel. Pros - they always serve a continental breakfast, they have a pool and hot tub open til 11 (although jets turn off at 10), they are clean and accommodating, the beds are wonderful! Cons - really none...we walked in and they had to upgrade us to the king George suit (bummerrrr) which had a full sitting room, 2 queen beds in their own bedrooms, and a bathroom. Mom and I were tickled! Do yourself a favor and stay at the El Bonita Motel. You will not be disappointed. Ps I even wandered into the lobby one night to see if they had a vending machine with chocolate and the girl said no. But she said "I have a little something for you!" She snuck to the back and nabbed me a chocolate donut. I was a happy camper. Great people work here!

Yelp
Really convenient motel to stay at if you're doing things or wine tasting in St. Helena (We had a wedding just down the street). For a motel, the amenities are nice (pool and hot tub), the rooms are big, and the AC really pumps cold air in on a hot day or night! I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This place is such a secret gem in Napa, I almost want to keep the secret. If your stay in Napa is going to have you mostly out and about and just needing somewhere to rest your head in between adventures this place is perfect. Clean, safe, comfortable. Downsides are that the breakfast isn't so great (cereal, yogurt, fruit, prepackaged pastries) and the walls are on the thin side. But if you're not planning on spending a ton of time in your room and you'd rather spend your vacation money on wine and food this is the spot.

Olivia M.

Yelp
We had a horrible experience and they just laughed at us!!!! We were in the back which backs up to apartments. The residents had a wild party and we could not sleep- til 3 am! We called the office but no one is there at night. Upon checking out i mentioned it and her response was " and they did not invite you". Not funny. $250 for a sleepless night. Where is their security? The clerk was nasty arrogant and cocky. Do not stay there if want to sleep and want decent customer service! The place is awful. Saving a few dollars is not worth it!

Yelp
I really don't understand all the positive reviews for this motel. I realize this isn't the Four Seasons or the Waldorf Astoria, but there are some basic things that one would expect when staying at a hotel/motel. We checked in on a Friday evening and the gentleman at the front desk should not be working in the service industry. Maybe he was having a bad day...I don't know...but he just had this incredulous "what do you want" look on his face as if he was waiting for me to say something. Whatever...he checked us in and off we went to our room. We stayed in Room 45. The room was ok, nothing remarkable...just a standard motel room. But, it wasn't cleaned very well. We found a set of earrings on the bathroom counter, which led me to conclude that the cleaning staff didn't clean the bathroom counter after the previous guests checked out. This is really disgusting and off-putting considering the current COVID pandemic. Also, there were no bath towels. That's something a reasonable person would expect when checking into a hotel room. Furthermore, the walls are paper thin. The room next door was having a party and they were playing loud music and yelling well into the night. When we checked out, we told the front desk about the issues we had and she just kind of shrugged and apologized. Well, lesson learned on my part. Next time, I'll shell out the extra $100 per night and stay at a nicer place. You get what you pay for.

Yelp
A charming Art Deco motel on Highway 29, the Napa Valley's main drag. It's centrally located amidst the wineries, so it's a convenient location- however, the traffic can be tricky, especially at the height of the tourist season. It's near restaurants. They're unpretentious when they offer a continental breakfast. They have a swimming pool. It ranges from $30-150 a night, depending on the season. They've added a sauna, renovated the hot tub. Despite its highway location, it's quiet and peaceful, with friendly service. They've renovated over the years, tho they are still rough around the edges. Quirky and charming.

Yelp
Great, low key motel for your Saint Helena getaway. It is so conveniently located, the staff is gracious, the price is right and the rooms are cute. And on our first tip toe out of the house during covid-19 my wife and I felt very comfortable with the cleanliness and care being taken at El Bonita. Highly recommended.

Yelp
After never come, I made two trips to this city within a month. The first was a day trip for an event and this one for a relative's wedding spectacle. Since the the nuptials spanned from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening/Sunday early morning, my reservations were for two nights here. Arriving Friday around noon, I quickly checked in, through my bag and clothes down, and headed to Yountville for lunch. When I returned, I had a couple hours to rest before the welcome party started. Assigned quiet room on the second floor of the rear building, I unpacked and took a short nap. There is ample closet space, a small fridge and microwave oven (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=qnx7mwqcSg_m_O8wUtvIeA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), and a fairly large dresser to store clothes, food, and gifts. The bathroom (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=SIr0bqgtgARhP2j8FrRFng&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) is roomy unlike most hotels where my knee sometimes taps the bathtub when seated on the throne. There is a small patio (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=nFsgbnzrkIvLQjVsT9s0Kg&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) which I did not use since Fall weather is cool here and the smell of the ashes were still prominent. There is a swimming pool which some children used early and mid afternoon. The maids are timely and courteous in making up the room. Location wise, it is right on the main street and a brisk walk from downtown St. Helena. When checking out, I made small talk with the inn keeper about the effects of the tragic wildfire. It gave me a better understanding of the need for people, after these types of disasters, need to resume some sense of normalcy. *** Support Napa and Sonoma County businesses!

Yelp
Stayed here on a business trip and overall it was okay. Definitely no frills about this small town hotel, it just was. I felt a bit unsafe at first because I noticed the bathroom window did not lock properly. I was staying on the first floor so needless to say I didn't sleep well that night. The front desk staff members were nice and very accommodating. The breakfast selection was pretty lackluster. I was hoping for healthier options since nothing in the area was open. Overall, nice renovations, great staff, just eh.

Yelp
If you can get past the rude people at the front desk- then you will enjoy the motel It's quite cute Room i had was clean Bed comfortable Little kitchen area perfect

Yelp
We booked our lodging pretty last minute, and luckily this place had limited availability for the Napa Valley city we wanted to stay in/near. It was a great, budget place, and our room was exceptional for the price - so much space, clean, everything in working order, large restroom, and luckily didn't have any noisy neighbors (or maybe it's just a quiet place to stay in general). The star deduction comes for the customer service. As others have mentioned, the employee at the check-in counter was not the most amicable or warm person for being in the hospitality industry, but there were no issues during the process or our stay.

I love this motel. Right in the heart of some great wineries and some outstanding restaurants. Pet friendly, pool, spa and continental breakfast. The rates are very reasonable.

"My Winery" had our holiday party on Thursday. The adult beverages were going to be flowing so I thought that I would be on the safe side and get a room close to the venue. I am so glad I did. I treated myself to the cutest small boutique motel. The staff that took my reservation over the phone was lovely. I checked in and the front desk associate was so friendly. I parked in front of my room and opened the door and felt so spoiled. It was on the main road and honestly, I could not hear any noise. The only thing I could hear is one of the fountains on the property. The room was stocked with everything you need and nothing you don't. The next time you are in Napa and want to save some money and still want a comfortable and quaint room, STAY HERE.

Yelp
Very convenient and not as expensive (relative to the other hotels in the area) option for staying in St. Helena. It's walkable to the downtown area and to a few wineries close by. It has all the necessities you need without too much frill. The pool was unfortunately closed for renovation while we were there but the hot tub and sauna were still usable. The continental breakfast was slightly before average and we didn't end up eating there during our stay.

Yelp
If the word MOTEL scares you, don't let it. This place is a gem. Will start with the cleanliness... Cleaned to perfection. The rooms are small but charming and has everything you need! The grounds are lovely with a grass area including firepit with chairs surrounding it and picnic tables. Dog friendly in every way. Even a small pool and hot tub. Great choice... right in th heart of everything. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this beautiful art deco motor lodge located right in the middle of the NAPA valley. We have been coming here for over a decade. It is our go to place when we stay the night in NAPA. The staff are always great, the rooms are clean and the rates are very reasonable given the location. We always like to spend some time in the hot tub on those cools evenings.

Yelp
This is a hidden little spot, don't let the word motel fool You, it is a fraction of the price of all the other hotels in the area. My 8 year old and I went for mommy daughter trip, we roasted marshmallows at the fire pit, met lovely people from the UK and Texas, enjoyed our dats at the pool. It was perfect. Front desk is lovely. And the breakfast, the pastry's are to die for!

Yelp
PROS: The rooms are fine, a great value for the area, They're clean and well appointed. Good central location. Love that it's pet friendly. CONS: Staff is not friendly. They all seem completely miserable and provide no hospitality whatsoever. They shouldn't bother with the continental breakfast.

Yelp
I prefer to spend my money on food and wine while in the Napa Valley - and not on a hotel stay - that's why I'm a huge fan of El Bonita Motel. EBM is a cute, comfy and convenient "motel" in Saint Helena and offers everything you need during a wine getaway: large rooms with comfortable bedding, free parking, complimentary breakfast, bikes for rental. If you read some of the older reviews, you might notice people complained about the mattresses. They actually underwent remodel a while back so it was perfect during our group's stay. Prices vary according to the season, but we had a 2-bedroom, 3-bed 6 person sleeper and it came out to around $40/night per person. You can not get that deal anywhere else in NV. The only thing that sucked about our room was that 6 people were sharing one bathroom, but we made it work. Next time we'll be sure to book a room with 2 baths.

Yelp
Safe haven after checking into an Airbnb akin to a murder house. Scratch that, we definitely checked into a murder house. Comfy beds so far. Shall update this next time. Until then Yelp! UPDATE: Okay, so I said I was going to update my review... I booked an Airbnb in Calistoga the day I originally wrote this. My family had to take a route off track that wasn't even located on maps. We passed by broken down sheds and came upon the murder house. I swear to you, the basement was covered in foil! The circuit breaker was also tampered with and we found a camera in one of the vents. We left the place immediately. I managed to find this motel a couple of miles away. The room was around $179.99 on a Friday night in Spring. Keep in mind the Culinary Institute of America was having a graduation the very next day. The good about this place is that parking is free. It's also adorable. The rooms are clean and have a small fridge(pretty decently and microwave. They also have other amenities. The big one here for me was the shower; it's surprisingly very nice and sophisticated. The shower had tiles and two shower heads: one on the ceiling and one on the front. Free wifi! LIST OF PROS: Free parking, dual shower heads, moderate fridge, microwave, free wifi, free breakfast, great shower, best location Cons: The breakfast is free but meh. Nothing stands out to me and they didn't have hot breakfast items. People complained that beds are hard but honestly they're fine. LIST OF CONS: subpar breakfast, firm beds, sometimes spotty wifi(but free). I cannot stress this enough. It's a motel. However, this place is a jewel. I was searching for other places: hotels, bed and breakfasts, inns, and motels. El Bonita motel has the best prices considering the location. It's freaking Napa! We paid for a medium pizza that was $35! Hotels in this area can range from $300-700 in this area on a Friday. It's so close to the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone FYI. Suggestions: book this hotel, visit the CIA and eat there(student chefs prepare meals that won't cost you an arm and a leg), visit some local wineries(Robert Mondavi, Freemark Abbey), walk around Main Street in Calistoga(try not to eat there it's not very good), hike, take beautiful pictures of the scenery, eat at Sam's Social Club, eat at Zuzu's(seafood paella is on another level there), and just take it all in. The nature there is just beautiful.

Yelp
This is a no frills, economy hotel in the heart of Napa Valley at prices that are half of other hotels in the area. My wife and I stayed here over a hot weekend in June. We were in an upstairs unit on the rear of the property that looks to be a newer addition to the original single story hotel at the front of the property that borders highway 29. The pros: Probably the cheapest hotel in Napa Valley. Rooms are well insulated for noise. Pool and hot tub were fairly well maintained and clean (lots of highway noise as the pool area borders the road, but that can be forgiven) The cons: Probably the cheapest hotel in Napa Valley. The room air conditioner could not keep up with the hot weather and we were uncomfortably hot through the night. We left the deck sliding door open until smoke drifted in from a guest smoking on their units patio below. Apparently smoking is allowed on all the decks and patios which puts non-smokers at a disadvantage. We had a small fly problem in our room that may have been related to the hot days. I had to sweep the ceiling with a towel several times the first night, removing dozens, and dozens, of flies; some gnat sized, some house fly size. The staff was unfriendly, they rarely smiled, never once greeted us when we arrived or asked how was our stay was when we checked out, so I chose not to tell them about the issues we had in the room. Perhaps the owner may read this review but I suspect they may not care. I do not mean to discourage anyone wanting to stay here as most people understand the price point involved here and expect as much. It is not a bad place and is overall pretty clean (except for the flies) Bottom line: It's a motel 6 in the middle of Napa...and oh, I almost forgot, the continental breakfast sucked!

Yelp
After 3 days, I came home with body lice. The office people were rude. When we got to the room, there were Kids hang out there.

Yelp
Best value for the area and great location, walking distance to a few great restaurants. The rooms were very nice and similar to a Ramada or Hilton standard. The grounds definitely feel motel-ish but again best value for an absurdly expensive area.
