"Canal-side Dining A pleasant way to spend an evening in Milan is to stroll along the Naviglio Grande, a 12th century canal in the south of town. The warehouses along the towpath are now home to lively restaurants and bars. I recommend El Brellin. The second floor restaurant offers refined modern Italian fare with ambiance to match and the bar below gets busy on the weekends."

Such a lovely spot right by the canal! The atmosphere is warm and charming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The food was amazing-classic Milanese flavors done right-and the service made us feel so welcome. It’s the kind of place you want to come back to, just to soak it all in again. Thank you for the warm welcome 🙏🏻❤️

We searched for the perfect risotto in Navigli and we wanted something not so touristic as the ones in front of the canal. And this was the case! The ravioli was also tasty. Dinner ends with tiramisu every time!

Had dinner at El Brelin while in the area for business. Great restaurant in a really cool area of Milan. The food was outstanding and the staff were very accolade g of our group. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by and eat here!

Staff were sooo nice and friendly — felt super chill being there. The vibe is really cozy, like the kind of place you’d wanna hang out after a long day. The owner was the sweetest, so down-to-earth and welcoming! Too bad I wasn’t hungry… only had a drink this time, but definitely coming back for the food!

El Brellin in the Navigli district of Milan is a cozy and charming restaurant that's perfect for a lovely evening out. The Navigli area itself is beautiful, with its canals and lively vibe, making it a great spot to explore. El Brellin stands out with its warm atmosphere and excellent food. We had the ossobuco, which was absolutely delicious, and the desserts were just as amazing. It’s a popular place, so booking a table in advance is a good idea. Totally worth a visit if you're in Milan!

If you're lucky enough to grab a reservation at El Brellin, you'll be better for it. A recommendation from our hotel saw us squeezed in for a dinner service and what a beautiful meal. The service and food was fantastic and traditionally Milanese. The history and photos on the wall is worth reading and really interesting. The dessert special of Panettone with marscapone cream was incredible. We had a brilliant night and highly recommend you come with an appetite and enjoy the vibe.

I wanted to have a special evening with my friend, and we chose this place for its beautiful garden setting. I had the Risotto alla Milanese, which was just okay—very basic and nothing memorable. The atmosphere was nice, but the place felt a bit overpriced for what it offered. Service during the meal was generally fine. However, when I went to pay at the counter, I had a very upsetting experience. A man who seemed to be the manager was extremely rude. There was a small misunderstanding, but instead of trying to clarify or speak to me respectfully, he refused to engage, made dismissive hand gestures for me to leave, and eventually raised his voice. I was polite at first, well-dressed, and had spent a considerable amount of money there as a student. I just wanted to enjoy my evening, but instead I left feeling disrespected and in tears. No customer should be treated like that. Sadly, this experience ruined the evening. I won’t return, and I cannot recommend this place to others.

Food was good. It is located by the canal. Service was ok but could be improved.
