Excellent food in a typical Spanish restaurant serving dishes as if we were in Barcelona or Madrid, waiters are very professional and friendly and the manager keeps on eye on the good service. Wonderful local wine list

El Burladero was another fantastic recommendation from our hotel, and we were so glad we followed their advice. Conveniently located within walking distance, it was the perfect place for a special dinner during our stay in Buenos Aires. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the elegant and upscale atmosphere. The interior has a very classy and refined feel, yet it remains warm and welcoming. It is the kind of restaurant where every detail feels thoughtfully considered, creating an environment that is both sophisticated and comfortable. We had heard that El Burladero is known for their paella, so we knew that was what we wanted to try. We ordered it for the four of us—two adults and two kids—and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. One of the highlights was that the paella was served table side, which made the meal feel even more special. The server brought out the pan and carefully plated each portion for us, adding a level of elegance and presentation that really stood out. The paella itself was absolutely delicious. The seafood was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, the rice had excellent texture and flavor, and the seasoning was spot on. Every bite was rich, savory, and satisfying. It was a generous portion, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. In addition to the outstanding food, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the meal. They made sure we felt well taken care of without being intrusive, and their knowledge of the menu was very helpful. Overall, El Burladero exceeded our expectations and delivered a truly memorable dining experience. Between the beautiful setting, the table-side presentation, the fantastic food, and the top-tier service, it was a meal we will not forget. We would happily return on a future visit and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale yet approachable dining option in Buenos Aires.

Finally, we found a place with amazing service! The food is also pretty good and they’re amazing at making drinks. Completely packed where the big line to get in even on Tuesday night so show up early if you want a seat at the bar.

Google
Cool spot if you are into Spanish food. There bread basket starter is fresh - in Buenos Aires, this is a sign of good food, and it is. My favourite dish is “Tapas of the Day”. The “Paella” was good and full of seafood. I realized that I’m not that much into the Paella. That is nothing on the restaurant, it’s just my preference. Service was excellent. Our server was able to understand English and he was VERY nice. This was my second time at this place and I recommend it. This place isn’t on the cheap side. However, most Spanish restaurants are. I would say this is good value for money and I’ll come back when I revisit. Tip: Make sure you make a reservation. You won’t have to wait in line and you’ll be seated in a good table.

Google
Delicious food with abundant portions. Prices are fair given the quality of food and service. The staff is very attentive and helpful when ordering off the menu. Would recommend if you’re looking for Spanish food such as paella and tapas.

Google
Portion sizes you won’t complain about (other than being too big), atmosphere that is joyful and engaging, taste that is fresh and authentic. Excellent experience would highly recommend. Just walked in without a reservation was able to get a lovely table.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service, Ask for Joao and take his recommendations, Gambas and Boquerones were good, the black rice was delicious. It's an obligated stop for spanish food in Bs As

Yelp
Good food, good menu, ok ambience, nothing bad, nothing extraordinary. Solid Spanish fare. The service was polite and correct. The hostess was rude. Why restaurant owners/managers hire hostesses without grace? you need a welcoming person, not a Cerberus that decides where you should seat, in spite of plenty of availability and your own preferences. We didn't go back, there is plenty to chose from in Buenos Aires. Can't fault the food, though.

Yelp
We had a great dinner here. Paella for two (which quite frankly could have actually fed 4, there was a ton). It was very flavorful and fresh. We also had the fried calamari and it also had great flavor and seemed very fresh. Prompt service, attentive waiter. My only complaint is they kept trying to give us things during the meal, for example we were given two small gazpacho samples at the beginning of the meal without having ordered them and they charged us for it... which wasn't cool. But overall would go back.

Yelp
The food is awesome, the sangria was refreshing, our waiter, Brian was great! Very cool restaurant, had a lively vibe.

Yelp
El Burladero was my favorite restaurant during my Argentina trip. Reservations are strongly encouraged and I'm thankful that my new local friend made reservations. He did all the ordering and I ate happily. The restaurant only has a few English menus. My favorites included the chicken and rabbit paella. The portion is HUGE! One paella serves 2-4 people. The seasonings in the paella mixed well together, the dish was hearty. The chicken and rabbit looked more or less the same. I also enjoyed the shrimp scampi, which is different than the American style. There's no pasta, just pure grilled shrimp in a light sauce. The desserts were delicious, particularly the churro. They have an excellent wine selection. Service was fantastic. Communication can be difficult as many of the wait staff spoke minimal English, but with a local at your table, no problemo!

Yelp
If looking for authentic Spanish food in the center of Buenos Aires, there's no better place to go than El Burladero. We dined at 8:00 PM on a Tuesday night and in no time, every table in the restaurant was filled by locals and tourists alike. Food - 5/5. Everything we tried was top-class. Before we ordered, we were treated to a shot of cider and shot of very tasty gazpacho on the house. To start we split the cod croquettes (as they had did not have cod fritters our particular night) which were fried to a perfect golden-brown with the signature fishy and creamy croquette filling. For our entree we split the paella which was definitely the best I've had outside of Spain. The rice was moist and aromatic, the seafood perfectly cooked and the dark-meat chicken added to its richness. After our meal, they came around with some Limoncello as a digestif that cut into the richness of the meal. Drinks- 5/5 I had a very well-made Negroni. Atmosphere - 5/5 Lively ambiance with Spanish-themed wall decals / antiques that give a nice Spanish edge to the restaurant. Service - 3/5 Although our waiter was great, the waitstaff was too small for the number of people dining at a given time. The restaurant could have easily used another waiter or two, as each waiter seemed a bit overstretched, balancing the requests of the many tables he served. Slow service (even for porteno standards) was the only reason I gave 4 stars overall. Note - there is a small cover per person to dine, although the complimentary sips / bread / hor dourves made it one of the covers I was happy to pay.

Yelp
The restaurant was recommended to us, and I was expecting something special as a first time visitor to Argentina. However, I thought the food was just average.

Mishele R.

Yelp
I'm giving 2 stars only bc our server was good and the gazpacho was amazing! Everything else was terrible. Worse paella in the world. Smelt like old fish, soggy with no crispy bottom. Yuck ! Female at the door was extremely rude until we told her we had reservations. Won't go back and I'd pass if you are in BA. There are a lot better restaurants to choose from

Yelp
Food is awesome. The staff was a little off the first time I was there. Maybe because I am traveling by myself and asked for the English menu. The wait staff speak very little English so it can be a little challenging. I felt rushed to order. They were friendlier when I went back a few days later. The restaurant was packed and I sat at the bar which was perfect. They started with a shot of tomato gazpacho with a few drops of olive oil. Some of the tapas, like shrimp scampi and squid ink croquette, can be ordered in half servings so you can try more variety. There is a wide selection on the menu to pick including seafood. Most of their dishes are larger servings so it's a lot of food for one person. I thought the prices were reasonable.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in BUE. Very "chic" NYC environment... with all Spanish trappings . Quintessential Spanish dishes with a drop dead black ink squid appetizer with rice. My partner loved the pork.., but the lamb is perfectly prepared and presented. Oh , I do not speak Spanish.. but wait staff is very accommodating... Pablo was a great server as we navigated through this gastric paradise. I suspect Basque overtures as well.

Yelp
We came here just for drinks and dessert. BEST CHURROS EVER. The chocolate mousse was also delicious, but the churros changed my life.

Yelp
This restaurant was highly recommended by the tour guide we were with for the morning. He made us a reservation for lunch. The setting, decor and ambience is very nice. Right away the server brought an amuse bouche of a shot glass of gazpacho. Very nice. Also bread was hot and they served a nice dish of olives in oil. We ordered three plates to share. The portions were generous and we couldn't finish. The first plate to arrive was the grilled prawns which were perfectly cooked, sweet and delicious. Next came our orders of grilled octopus and a plate of grilled squid in its own ink. The octopus was tender and tasty. That dish came with some potatoes that were just boiled and not seasoned. Very bland. The squid was chewy although it was topped with a tasty mayo the sauce and accompanied by some well seasoned and well cooked white rice. That was what we ate. We had two bottles of sparkling water. The service was fine. There was a menu in english but the server didn't speak much at all. We had alcohol and no desert or appetizers and our bill came to well over $50 per person. I thought that was high for the quality of the food and what we ordered.

Yelp
Loved it! Go between noon 3 pm for the lunch special. One appetizer, one entree, one dessert, and a glass wine all included at a great price. Everything was authentic and delicious.

Yelp
Wonderful Spanish joint. Our paella was just out of this world and the red sangria was delicious (they put cinnamon sticks in it ... FUN).

Yelp
Excellent flavors. The trifecta of paprika seasoning they bring to the table was a nice treat/ touch. Had the shellfish paella and there's no scrimping on the seafood--mui delicioso! (Might be top 3 paella I've ever had...including in Valencia). Highly, highly recommend.
