El Burro Greenpoint

A bit hard to find as it doesn't have a big street front sign. Nice atmosphere, decor and vibe. Service was excellent. I had the fish taco and the Chilorio pork taco. Both were good. If you are really hungry, two might not be enough.

We had fish, prawn and beef tacos, along with three sides (croquettes, chicharron & Esquites) Overall, the food was good, except, we were not the biggest fans of the tacos. We felt they were a little too thick for our liking; seasoning though, was great and the flavors were nicely balanced. The croquettes and the chicharron were wonderful and in our opinion, must orders! Our main and only gripe was our exchange with the waitress; she sent a plate of guac and chips to our table insisting we had ordered it. The funny thing was, as she was reiterating our order back to us, she didn’t mention any serving/order of a guac, so the fact that she was insistent-even when we told her we didn’t place an order for guac, she replied saying it’s nice, to which we replied that we’d already ordered three sides and were afraid it would be too much food, and that reply instigated her to tell us that normally customers order two tacos instead of one per person. The entire exchange left my family and I rather uncomfortable, so we probably won’t be returning. P.s. the Esquites that we ordered didn’t arrive eventually, it was left out of the order completely.

Best vegan tacos I have ever eaten, highly recommend all but the broccoli has to be the stand out winner Staff were very attentive and super friendly. Service was not slow and it clearly a popular spot with the amount of people that were also dining

Very pleasant Mexican tapas place in Green Point. I had guacamole, served with a mountain of tortilla chips and salsa, a spicy pork taco and a chicken enchilada. The first two were good and the third excellent. Service is friendly and fairly efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed in a quirky space. With a house margarita, a glass of wine and a coffee, the total, including tip, was R510, which makes it very good value.

Good food for fair prices. Really recommend this nice cozy place. Also goof for vegetarians and people who do not like to burn their entire mouth with spicy food while eating :)

Great place for quick tacos and drink! Loved it! Very authentic as well, taste is amazing! Would recommend it for tacos!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was genuinely good and very reasonably priced. The ambience is relaxed and welcoming, and the service really stood out. Every waitress was friendly and attentive, and the hostess was excellent. I ordered a drink that required orange juice, which they didn’t have at the time. Instead of shrugging it off, they sent someone to fetch it. While waiting, they brought complimentary drinks and apologized sincerely for the delay. That level of service left a strong impression. Thoughtful, professional, and handled with real care. I’d happily come back.

Incredible Food. It was very light and fresh. The food wasn’t as spicy as I expected it to be. Great Vegetarian Options as well. The ambiance and the service was amazing as well.
