We spent 4 nights at this posada and we were absolutely happy about everything. The posada has only 2 rooms, both of them spacious, cosy and comfortable, but of course they are almost always busy. The food was great and they made all they could to please us as vegans - we had something different every evening, and a lot of it ... They are famous for their food and in fact they had external guests every night. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very eager to please, they also allowed to use the room after the check out time, as our flight was at 4 pm. The location is very charming, central but not on the main road and right on the seaside. I would only advise not to leave anything out of the window, as the rooms are on the ground floor and a pair of slippers we put out to dry disappeared. All in all, we would definitely recommend this posada for a stay in Los Roques and we hope to be able to go back one day!

We stayed 4 wonderful nights. Only 3 rooms in this family run restaurant/posada. Rooms as good as any you will get on the island. Clean and well equipped. Food quite excellent. Because a restaurant nice atmosphere on terrace in evenings. We were not disturbed by any noise from bar/restaurant. ||Great location on beach by old pier. ||No noisy back up generators when I stayed (can be a problem on Los Roques). Good laundry facilities. ||Only complaint I can make was the cost of (simple) pack lunches. Do check pricing before you commit. They would have received a generous tip but it all (and some) went on the lunches!

We stayed for a week in this Posada and it was absolutely fantastic. The Posada is decorated with items from all over the world, really cosy, clean and quiet. The food is incredible!!!!! different dishes kind of a mediterranean, caribbean and asian fusion, the result is an experience you want to discover every night. The place is attended by its owners so you feel like part of the family the minute you walk in. I would definitely recommend this place and it will be my first choice if I go back to Los Roques … which I will!!!!!

I was staying at another hotel but I was recommended this place by a friend to have dinner. When I told the owner I was vegan, she adapted the menu especially based on my diet, which I truly appreciated as it is difficult being vegan in South America. The service was excellent too, waiters super nice and friendly. Location is very cosy. In short: perfect night. ||I didn't sleep there though but would surely recommend it and would book there if I were to return to Los Roques another time.

Stayed as a family of 4 as end part of tour of Venenzuela. One of the few posadas still owned by a local rather than Italians. The owner Nelly is famous for her cooking and it certainly was. A set menu each evening which catered for all the family including fussy eaters! The breakfast was vast - pancakes, porridge, toast, eggs and kept our boys going - a delight for them after 2 weeks of traditional Venezuelan breakfasts.||There are 3 rooms in total - 2 at the back behind the restaurant and one upstairs tucked away at the back. No problems with noise. ||The whole posada is very different from the others on the island a real ethnic wood feel full of eclectic tinkets and paintings based on the whale - the name of the posada.||Location is perfect right on the beach - most posadas are not.||Many thanks to the manager Luce who summed up the feel of the place - treat this as your home.....

We had a lovely time here - the place is simple but lovely. There is no menu in the restaurant and you won't get what the table next door does because they only have what was caught that morning. I will always remember the fish from there. ||||The staff are friendly and kind, the place is simple but has great views and is ideal to sit with a cocktail and watch the pelicans nose-diving as the sun sets.

Frendly, clean, nice, comfortable and very good located. The dishes of Nellis are fantastic. So, all of this service are quite costly, but if you will compare with another places at the same island it is reasonable price.

Stayed at this posada and got a room right next to the bar. There was a drinking party going on every night until the early hours and the owner had stored their beer right outside our room. Impossible to get any sleep. In addition there was no mosquito net or air conditioning protection in the room and we got bitten each night. When we complained to the lady owner she basically told us to 'put up with it or you know what you can do' ..in the end we went to a posada close by so that we could sleep at night and ended up losing money. The owner was not interested in the slightest to even consider compensating us for such a terrible service.||They did not organise any boat trips either and you had to do it all yourself. The food was ok but nothing special.||I would definately say stay away from this place in your visit to Los Roques.|
