Here’s everything you need to know about coming here as a foreigner with foreigner expectations …
It’s clean. The sand here has bigger granules than where we were (la entrega) and the sand is nice and pristine! The beach club keeps everything in really clean condition, and my expectations are pretty high.
There is a $200 minimum consumption pp but it gets you access to hang in their property. What does that mean? Well there’s palapas with chairs and hammocks to chill on. You also get to use their bathroom and showers. Their shower was outdoor and was good enough for a quick rinse. And there’s tables for eating food.
Yes this club sits above the beach so it’s a great view and if you have toddlers it might be tough going back and forth but we have two kids and had no issues hanging on the beach and walking back up to chill and eat and going out again. We also brought an umbrella to sit closer to the shoreline.
This side of the beach is way less populated which I think is a huge win especially after spending so much time at la entrega. Less people coming to sell you things as well. There is a small cluster of rocks and reef and there are fish there just be careful swimming when tide is strong. On the way end of the rocks you can look for creatures during low tide, super cool. Our kids tried to catch baby fish.
The service is great, we had Francisco and he was so kind and hospitable. He speaks a little English so we made due with our little Spanish and no Google translate (no cell svc). Easily manageable for a foreigner.
NO credit cards, cash only. Also no WiFi if you’re sitting outside of the property only when you’re like in the restaurant part. And no cellular service so make sure your transportation is already arranged. You’re def unplugged when chilling here.
It was a dirt road ride 20 min into San Agustine for us but you pass papaya pineapple and coconut farms which is cool and there are families on the side of road selling fruit in cups. Get the papaya it’s the best we ever had.
Most beautiful beach ever and worth the trip 💯. We spent about 4 hours here but could easily have went for 5-6. We didn’t even venture to the other side but seems worth exploring as well bc that’s where more reefs are. Highlight of our trip!

This place is top notch. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks where delicious. This place is a hidden jewel since it is at the end of the road but worth finding it. The scenery was gorgeous. This place caters to making sure you are taken care of. El Capi is kept in good condition and most of all very clean. We will definitely come back here.

We didn’t actually stay here and hang out. But we did walk through and wow they have an awesome set up. Clean and spacious. If you have kids, the spot is a little difficult because it’s far away from the water and even further from the swimming area. But if you’re coming to the beach to just relax, eat some food and hang out this is a wonderful, Spot. The couple that owned it was very sweet and accommodating. I would come back and hang out here without my three little humans.

Great spot on the beach! It’s on the quiet and more beautiful end of the bay. Friendly service, delicious cocktails, and amazing seafood! The ceviche, guacamole, seafood stew, and grilled mahi mahi were all top notch!

So glad we kept driving and found this place. Great service and food. Perfect place to chill for the day. The beach is a lot quieter on this side and great snorkelling too.

Best spot in San Agustin. It is a bit further out, which means it is nice and quite compared to the other places. Super friendly owner that let us keep our luggage in a safe place while we enjoyed the beautiful beach. Great place for snorkeling! You can spot many different fish just a few meters from the beach. 🐠🐡
