Word on the street says this is the only original work of Gaudi in the Cantabria region of Spain (FYI, this might need to be fact checked). For 7 Euros, you can take a walk through the 3 story house, tower and walk through the garden and surrounding areas. The house is a bit "small" so it might be a bit tight to navigate (especially the spiraling staircase) if there are several other visitors. The views inside are quite breath-taking and inspirational. While the house has been renovated, I think it was a bit overdone. I dunno, but for me, it felt like the house was constructed in the late 2000s rather than in the late 1800s. I understand that renovating a historical landmark is a necessity; however, in this case, I feel the renovation over-modernized it. Who knows, perhaps that is the point.
While the capricho has guided tours, it's easy enough walk through the museum on your own.
I do not think that I would go super far out of my way specifically for this museum. However, it was a nice add-on to spending a few hours in Comillas.
