El Careyes Club & Residences

This is a beautiful beach club with private residences. It's not a hotel, and it's in the jungle, but you won't find anywhere else like it. The views and sunsets are amazing. The staff are all very nice and helpful, led by the manager Ingrid, and Chef Julio can make you something delicious according to your tastes. Don't expect a gym or spa or 5 star hotel services, but if you want a quiet place for the family, surrounded by Paradise, this is the place for you.

Very exclusive hotel on the Costa Alegre stretch of beach in Jalisco. Beautiful ocean views and green surroundings. Spectacular!

Probably one of the best run hotels I've ever seen. The staff was beyond perfect, the food amazing. Jared made our stay absolutely unforgettable, and Alex in their sales department was stellar.

No AC in bedrooms, only living room gets cold. Shower only sometimes provides hot water, and then only briefly, alternating cold and hot. Extremely uncomfortable. No dinner service at the hotel. Often no staff at front desk, generally woefully understaffed. Internet connection awful. Too few beach chairs. Also, we have seen staff fold beach towels on abandoned beach chairs so that they look fresh for new guests. We have picked up folded towels that are wet from previous use. The lighting in the stairway to our room is often off at night, with no visible switch. Difficult to open door lock therefore. Also, walking outside from the room at night is dangerous, the lighting is not sufficient. Room numbers are taped to the door exteriors, and there is packaging tape around the tv, etc, - these are small things, but with the above it really seems as if the place was not ready for its opening.

Terrible service - terrible food. Rooms are run down and dirty. The restaurant and pool bar has terrible food and drinks - would absolutely not recommend this place. Incredibly overpriced - it’s more like a 3 star hotel. Careyes is beautiful but you are better served renting a house there.

Stunning location and accommodation (to rent or buy) offering wonderful experience which is firmly set to improve even more. With infinity pools right on the beach, as well as poolside dining, you really can't go wrong!

Beautiful absolutely perfect... delicious food in a serene and magical setting... we will be back for sure
