El Celler de Cler Restaurant

We ate here on April 27th, 2024 and I thought the food was just as good as anything I had in Lima. In fact, it was the best food I had on our long 1,800 mile trip from Lima to Northern Peru, into the Amazon and back. I wish I could remember the name of our server but I can't. She was very friendly, spoke English nicely to us Americans even though one of us can speak Spanish. She gave great recommendations and was very attentive. The manager, cook, everyone in the restaurant was very welcoming to us, even though were dressed down due to having been out in the hot desert all day looking at ruins. I'm still thinking about the steak I had. We opted to eat out on the wrap around balcony but there was plenty of seating inside. We got there by chance as soon as they opened for dinner and there was plenty of seating but by the time we left the restaurant was filling up. I would have definitely eaten there again if we'd been in town longer.

Went here for dinner and it’s a lovely old world type Restaurant upstairs. The styling is rustic and nice tables out on the balcony too. The staff were delightful and so happy and eager to help, particularly when I was difficult about my order. They adapted to please. The steak was top notch. It’s fairly pricy (western prices).

Great meal, well presented. Quality cocktails and excellent service. Ceviche Rose' was mildly spicy and well balanced.

The food and service was amazing. The wait staff was very attentive and their “warm” ceviche and banana “pancake” dessert is a must.

My companion and I recently dined at El Celler de Cler and received a gracious reception. We sampled a variety of dishes, all of which were impeccably prepared and delightfully flavorful. The staff demonstrated exceptional attentiveness and provided us with excellent service. This restaurant is an ideal choice if you desire a pampered experience. To me the best restaurant in Trujillo! It was just so good, that we’ve been there twice! Amazing food, great service and beautiful interior. Totally recommend this place! Will be dreaming of the Lomo with Huacatay every night. Thank you Andres y Luz for taking care of us so good!

Great Peruvian food. Highly recommend the steaks, cooked to perfection and accompanied by great wine. Good cocktails too We felt it was good value for money. Would come back again

I cannot reccomend this place enough, if you come to Trujillo you should make time for this restaurant. Incredible ambience and the service is some of the best I have received in Peru. Everything we ordered was delicious. Do get appetizers and save room for dessert. Highlights of the menu were the asparagus appetizers.
