El Cerezal de los Sotos - Adults Only

A very nice hotel. Newly and sympathetically renovated to a high standard. Our room was more like a suite, very comfortable with air conditioning and anti-bug blinds on the windows, a nice touch. The food is simple but home cooked, and as such better than the average bar/restaurant.||The owners are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The location is down a quiet road about a 10 minute walk from Jerte village. Good gardens and outside terrace.||We would certainly return.

We spent six days here and loved it. The weather wasn't too good but there was a huge log fire in the lounge every night which made it really cosy. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The gardens and terrace were so pretty that we plan to go back and hope that better weather would mean we could enjoy them more. The owners are very friendly, but professional too. Everything is done well, and their advice about restaurants, walks and drives was spot on. This is a really lovely area and well worth more than a brief visit.

This is a wonderful 6-room casa rural just outside the village of Jerte in the valley of the same name. Our charming hosts were helpful and friendly. Our room was large, very comfortable and looked onto the garden as did the well-equipped bathroom. The location is magical. We were there during the month of May when the cherries, for which the valley is famous, were beginning to ripen. We were lulled to sleep at night by the sound of the river and woke to the sound of golden orioles and nightingales. We ate our breakfast and evening meals on the lovely terrace. The food was elegantly presented and very good. The location is ideal for nature lovers, walkers, etc. and makes an excellent base for exploring the region.

Very sympathetic conversion of a rural building with well decorated and maintained rooms. The garden and pool were also elegant in a rural setting. We found the owners very welcoming. They gave us good advice as to where to visit, walk and eat. We found the quality of their meals excellent. A place we will return to in the future.

This beautiful decorated hacienda is only open to adults. Toni & Gabriel have created a extremely successful renovation so everything is perfect there. If you see what the scores on Tripadvisor until now says more than enough. Will once again confirm you can enjoy a delicious breakfast and in the evening you have the choice of very carefully prepared dishes.

This place has it all: soft, honey coloured building with landscaped surroundings of olive trees, lavender and rosemary in abundance and a pool; then a cherry tree orchard, the marvellous Jerte river 100m or so away, surrounded by the majestic Sierra de Gredos mountains. With amazing walks on your door step, this is a great wind down place. Large veranda, affording shade and views, tasteful, choiceful, understated interiors. Enthusiastic Gabriel who was so helpful - his photography is everywhere, (bearing more than a passing resemblance to George C). We just about made it with our 'Spanglish'. Recommended.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and it was a great find! The owners were incredibly helpful with suggesting day trips and places to visit in Jerte (the old part is lovely). Hotel is lovely inside and out, we had a lovely spacious room and comfortable bed. We ate at the hotel one evening and the food was very good.||||It was great coming back to drinks by the pool or on the terrace in the evening!||||We definitely plan to return.

The rural hotel "El Cerezal del Soto" in the Jerte Valley is an ideal place to rest and disconnect from the world and it’s an adults-only Hotel! It’s located in an environment with an amazing nature, surrounded of cherry trees and water. The suite was very large, and clean and with a big bed and a large terrace with magnificent views. The pool is great for a good dip and listen to the sounds while sunbathing. The breakfast is very complete with coffee, juices, pastries, Iberian jam... To have dinner on the porch is a romantic delight. The kindness of the owners and their attention is an outstanding. I recommend visiting the Jerte Valley in June-July and it’s a must to take the guided route in 4x4 Land Rover around "La Garganta de los Infiernos" and of course go to pick cherries. A wonderful stay that we will surely repeat this year.
