One of our most favorite restaurants in Bullhead City. Family owned and operated and they treat their patrons like family. Photo shown is one way combo, Chile rellano with green sauce. Add two eggs over easy. Delicious! Shout out to Daniel, Sebastian and Angelica!

We have been to this place numerous times when we visit from CA and had been our #1 go-to spot until now. To begin, my wife ordered a piña colada water and she got horchata, instead. I ordered menudo (they only serve on weekends) and instead I got a mix of menudo and pozole. The flavor of the food is not the same at all. Either they switched owners or cooks or something happened. Very disappointed

Easy Parking right in front and easy entrance. Restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. Waiter was friendly and took our drink and dinner orders quickly. Our orders were delivered after a small wait. Food was excellent and served hot and fresh.

Just like my grandmother made when she was alive. The food is incredible. The service was just as great. You can tell that the food is made with love. Family owned local place. If you live here. You already know how awesome this food is. Definitely, if you're visiting the area, you gotta come by.

Visited family in Bullhead City and they told me I needed to try the tacos here. Glad I did! These are the best tacos I’ve ever had anywhere. The crispy tripe and al pastor were so good. The shrimp tacos were excellent as well. Ended up coming here 2 nights in a row and I’d go back for a 3rd if I was in town another night.

Had the Taco Tuesday special. Plenty and very good. Margaritas were very good. Highly recommend. They have specials everyday.

Amazing, I knew, when the tortillas are being cooked fresh for you. This is my kind of place. I was not disappointed. Food was fresh and flavorful. Service was amazing. My new go to family run Mexican food restaurant in Bullhead. So yummy.

This is a family favorite in Bullhead City. Closed on Mondays. I ll be back tomorrow to get a dining gift card. My brother will be surprised. Update: next morning I called to have a El Charro dining gift card mailed to me. Simple, we will pass it on in December They make tortillas for your meal right in the dining area. That's Fresh. We have been before.

Back at our yearly Laughlin trip and this place is a must stop. The food is nothing short of fantastic. We have been coming year for years now and it is always our go to stop for great food and awesome service

Restaurant was busy for breakfast but sat our party of two right away and our server was great. All plates were delicious but the choriqueso was my favorite

Wanted a quick meal while passing through stopped in and everyone was so friendly we sat pretty quietly ordered our drinks and looked over the menu so many yummy things Placed our order and received our drinks and soon after our food Everything was great we were happy with everything very flavorful Would definitely recommend trying it if out in the area we will definitely be back

Ordered a machaca breakfast plate to go. And this was fire! Rice was fluffy and tasteful, beans were delicious, and the steak machaca with eggs was amazing! To go service was quick and easy, even with a packed restaurant. Will come back here for lunch as the inside had a great vibe and very welcoming. Gotta say this is a must have when in Bullhead.

Omg! This place is amazingly delicious! Is not your traditional Los Angeles food because is Arizona, but let me tell you this food was amazing. It was pretty busy we waited 20 m for a table for 20 which wasn't bad . The waitress was very friendly and pretty knowledgeable of the plates and drinks they serve. We tried the chorizo con quezo fundido and homemade tortillas and nachos... very very good and big portions. Then we got 3 tacos charros with rice and beens so delish and big portions again . My hubby order a delicious michelada. The place is pretty big and very well kept. I totally will be coming back when in town guaranteed!

I just don't know. I mean, the service is pretty good and friendly. The chips are good and they arrive as soon as we run out. Salsa is pretty decent. Food is kinda good kinda borderline. I guess it just depends on what you order. The carnitas are actually perfection, get the carnitas plate! Crunchy tacos are extremely oily. Wet burritos are ginormous! Green sauce is decent. We've pretty much ordered all across the menu and some things are great some aren't. I would definitely not turn someone away though. This is one of those places where you need to actually go there to judge for yourself. Not a lot of help when coming from a Yelp review, I know. The atmosphere here is pretty great, we love the décor. Parking lot is right outside and ample amount of parking. I'll give you this... my sister and brother in law LOVE it here and would eat here every time we are in town. My husband and I would rather go to just about any other Mexican restaurant. So really a mixed bag.

Excellent Mexican food and I am picky when it comes to authentic food. They make a great Chelada beer and the chips and salsa are always fresh. They have great specials as well for those on a budget and love that's it's a family ran place - they are so friendly. Highly recommend this place!

El Charro is a community favorite and has been a staple for the family when we are here for the river. Looks like many others have too found this spot. Food is good and can get very busy especially for large parties however keep in mind they do not take reservations. Drinks and service are good but over the years some of the menu items lack some flavor. Flour tortillas are still bomb and you can thank the in house tortilla maker for this. With restaurant so busy during the summer months I would only suggest better cleaning....if the menus are dirty then the restaurant is too. Your patrons will wait for your attention to detail.

Foodie here and oh my all the way good service is perfect and the place is clean and comfortable - every time you go it just keeps getting better and better. The food is really good and fresh. And very large portions. Flan is amazing with excellent coffee.

HIDDEN GEM in Bullhead City This Family Owned Mexican Restaurant was super busy with a steady stream of customers. It's about 5.7 miles from Laughlin so if you're looking for wonderful Mexican food away from the busy casino restaurants, this is a great spot! We rolled into Bullhead City and came across El Charro. It's has a Classic old-school Mexican bar-restaurant ambiance with a station for making homemade corn tortillas. Everything we had was so well seasoned and so tasty! Each bite was so satisfying! So delicious! We absolutely loved it!! Friendly service! The food was delicious starting with a complimentary fideo soup served in a cute little bowl so tasty too. My machaca burrito was delicious too. Our server was nice & very attentive.

After waiting unsuccessfully at 3 places (including 2 in our hotel), we decided to make the loop into Bullhead City and find something not fast food to eat. At this point, it was almost 9pm and options was quickly dwindling. Thankfully we found El Charro. We were a little confused since Google said they closed at 9pm but Yelp said 10pm. Thankfully it was 10pm so we were good. People kept coming in in large groups well into our dinner there so I guess they don't mind staying open past closing. We perused their large menu and I personally decided on the carnitas plate (special of the day) and a an ala carte order of a chile relleno. Hubby went with a two item combo with a cheese enchilada and a chile relleno. Firstly, the carnitas was bomb. It tasted char-y and much better than a lot of other versions I've had. The plate it self was great with a big dollop of guac along with the rice and beans. Rice was good, beans were average. The real eye-opener were the freshly made slightly thick corn tortillas. They gave you 4-5 of them and honestly, I wish I was hungrier so I could wipe them all out. My chile relleno was pretty good -the cheese was liquid-y and oozy. Funny enough, though, mine was HUGE compared to the one hubby got on his combo plate which he thought was just "meh". (He's crazy!) We were waited upon by John who was very engaged while speaking with us but kind of disappeared after our food was dropped so we couldn't get water or soda refills. Also, it looked like they had a bar and people were ordering margaritas but we didn't see a drink menu at all. I guess we could have asked but whatevs. All in all, a good find for us. Food hit the spot.

So glad to have found this place! They were extremely busy but quickly seated us and took our order without much wait. Margarita was very good and our food was delicious! Large servings too. Definitely recommend!

We usually hit this spot up when we are in town. I usually get the menudo, which I like, but we came on a weekday and I wasn't able to get it. I had the fideo soup, which I did not care for. It didn't have much flavor. Hubby had the taco and enchilada which he really liked. My son had the bean and cheese burrito with carna, he said it was "alright". I got a side salad and shared a meal with my sister. The side salad was fresh & tasty, and the ranch dressing was on point. I gave three stars because I feel like the food lacked flavor. The beans were pretty bland, same with the rice. Overall, it was just missing the authentic Mexican flavors. I did order a strawberry colada. It was gross. I could taste banana in it. I hate bananas. I didn't even finish it. I'm not one to complain so I didn't say anything. A strawberry colada is a pina colada with strawberry. If they didn't know, they should have said something. My cousin drank it. Our waiter was very friendly and quick to bring our drinks out. Overall, I will come back and give this place another shot when I'm in town. Partly because I hope it's better next time, but also because it's a family custom. Fingers crossed it gets better.

Food is great and servers are helpful and friendly. They have great daily specials. We eat here once a week and when we can't we miss it.

El Charro is usually our go to Mexican restaurant in Bullhead City, but this Tuesday my wife and I went there for taco Tuesday and were disappointed, the staff was different and the service was very slow, drink orders took more than 10 minutes (and we were si next to the bar) the food order took much longer than usual ( we come here often) and when my order arrived the waitress said sorry wrong order took the food back then brought a different plate that was wrong, took that back and gave me the original plate! my burrito was the carne Asada with pico de Gallo that was only at one end. meal was okay but different than usual not as flavorful. As it usually is. it felt they have become a tourist attraction. And the service and food showed it Hopefully next time it will be better.

Absolutely loved this place! My boyfriend and I were visiting Laughlin and didn't want to eat there, so we looked online and found this place in bullhead city The server I believe Sebastian, was on point with his delivery and service. Best and most attentive service we've had in a while :) We started with the carne asada fries and they were surprisingly good and loaded with ingredients Sometimes they can be skimpy but these were bomb We also got carne asada fajitas and I'm not joking when I say it was the best fajitas I've ever had. Fajitas are my favorite food ever and I've had them in a lot of restaurants and these were simply the best!! We live an hour and a half way from this restaurant but my boyfriend said he would come back here just for the hand made tortillas. This place is legit!!

Absolutely the best Chile Relleno and refried beans I've ever had! The shredded beef enchilada was also terrific I normally don't even eat the rice, but their's is excellent Great service, huge portions and very reasonable prices. We will be back often.

We stopped in again on our trip to Laughlin. The place is always filled with hungry customers. The wait time was 25 min for our group of 4. The hostess was very professional and courteous. Our waitress was very fast and always checking on or needs. I ordered my go to of Tacos Charro. Once again they were on point and tasty. This was my first time trying the menudo and it wasn't very good. The tripe was chewy and the menudo it self lacked flavor. We all agreed that we'll be coming back again. Other than the menudo their food is really good.

Visit twice while in town, the most authentic and best Mexican food ever. I only have one meal I can restaurant in Cali I love and this place is better, especially the home made flour tortillas just wished they had coffee de olla. But definitely will be my go to spot every time I come to Laughlin!! Oh and wait staff was great, fast, especially on a busy Sunday and also when we came before closing one night

First time going to El Charro. Saw good reviews on Yelp so we decided to give them a try. Excellent service and everyone was so nice. Husband had a taco and enchilada. I had a steak salad and a cucumber jalapeño margarita. The taco and enchilada were amazing. Rice and beans very good. Steak salad was good. For me the star of the show was the cucumber pineapple margarita. Perfect amount of tequila. The cucumber flavor was so fresh and the jalapeño subtle but there. Run and get that margarita! HIGHLY recommend!

Great service, a bit loud. SUPER busy and full of energy. our waiter kept coming to check on us and They have a huge menu. our food was steaming hot! came out super fast and the fried icecream was so good with the fresh hot churros! i definitely recommend going here with a few peop.le.

First time here, had dinner on a Saturday night around 8pm. Waited a little while as we were a big group. Waiter was very friendly and patient. Interior was vibrant and clean. I wish the food was better especially for the price. Molcajete sauce was not spicy as it usually is, meat was thick and chewy, not ranchera as it usually comes with at most restaurants. Over all taste was bland. The rice and beans were good, fresh guacamole which was nice. Carne asada burrito was not good. Chewy meat and lot is fat. Shrimp tacos and fajita are all veggies and barely any shrimp. The only thing we enjoyed was the mojarra. Will not be recommending or returning.

Best tacos and enchiladas in town. Lots of fresh seafood options too! Tortillas are made fresh everyday. Wait staff is excellent as well. Five stars!

Excellent pick for great Mexican food. Good service, great specials and really good food. We had the lunch special which was one of the combo meals and the second one was $1. Great deal and it was wonderful. Part of the group had taco salads and it was delicious. Give this place a try!!

Came here on Cinco de mayo and it was slammed! But none the less we were delightfully gets and seated in minutes. The service was quick and friendly the food came out really quickly and was not only fresh but delicious! This place has a very festive environment and is usually busy making it naturally vibrant. I highly recommend it.

Been here several times for dinner always seems a step above Mexican restaurants I'm used to. Good service great flavor. Went for breakfast. Huevos chorizo and a $4 excellent Chile rellino were fantastic. I was surprised to see the amount of people that go out for Mexican for breakfast not your usual ham and eggs. Very good, looking forward to trying it again

The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. I am a big fan of chimichangas and this one made the top 5. The shredded beef was fresh, guacamole fresh.. key word on the meal- fresh. Take family and friends and enjoy good food and atmosphere!

Well.... I normally would give this restaurant a 5. Until today... it was Sunday and at noon plus it was busy. I get it and we waited for about 30 minutes for a table. No problem. Once seated, we immediately were served tortilla chips and salsa but it took about 15 minutes to get our drink order. Our waiter "J" immediately did not impress and acted like it was his first day. I had seen him many times before but today he acted very unmotivated. It took another 15 minutes to order food. Food took awhile to arrive. Chicken tacos were ordered and a chicken chimichanga. The chicken was completely flavorless, dry and seemed like someone just boiled it and threw it in a tortilla. Chicken tacos were extremely greasy as well! I ordered menudo, which was tasty but there were two large bones which took up a lot of space in the bowl so there was less tripe and hominy in the bowl. I asked for butter and that never arrived and refills on drinks took forever! I don't know what happened today... workers were tired, inattentive, unmotivated and or short staffed? This was the first time on a Sunday so maybe because they got busy but realistically that should not be my concern. But it sure affected the tip that was left! For good food and service, I commonly leave 22+%!! I left 15% and felt that was too high for today! Service and the food just sucked to put it mildly! Again, I have been here before, and I leave here like I just left my grandmother's house! Not today! Very disappointed! We all were. I will return, but not on the weekend and I will have to wait a few weeks before I do. Come on El Charro... you can do better!!

The service was excellent. The food was Fantastic. Especially the homemade flour tortillas made right in front of you!! The prices aren't bad either!! Cost for two; Chimichanga plate and hard shell chicken taco plate and drinks. $36.72 Sorry no pictures we ate too fast. It was happy hour, so of course it was loud. But enjoyable

HAD to write this review We don't live in the area but come out in the summer quite often. We've eaten here before and had always loved the food and service. This weekend (7-28-24) we were looking for a place that would accommodate a group of 15 people. We called and they said 20-30 minutes wait. Other places the wait was longer. So we chose El Charro., but was a little skeptical cause the latest reviews were not good. WELL let me tell you our server ALMA was the best!! And the food did not disappoint anyone. The wait time for our food was not long at all and the wait time to get in was less than the time stated too!! Would definitely come back!! Thanks again Alma and the El Charro staff!!

I would give this a 2. The only spice was in their hot salsa. The chorizo was really good two years ago , but today it was so bland. Rice and beans had no flavor. My husband's carne asada had so much fat, and again bland. I normally don't post anything, but this experience was awful. We will not be back. Linda Davis

We drove 1.5hrs to Laughlin for this! My folks and I had gone here back in 2014 when we went on a quick getaway from Vegas. It was good then. Fast fw to 2021, my folks ended up stopping by this place again on their way back to Vegas from Sedona, and my mom wouldn't stop talking about how amazing it was. They have expanded the restaurant since the last time I was there. Service was great - was greeted by the wait staff as soon as we walked in, and our server was sweet and friendly. Their carnitas is TDF, the giant mango margarita made me wanna go to the beach and the churro dessert was perfect. #NoRagrets on driving 1.5hrs for lunch for this.

Stopped in after work on Taco Tuesday and HH. Lively place. Bar area was good with TV's. Staff friendly. Got 3 tacos and they were very good. Beans were really good and would come back again. Could have added a bit more seasonings to the meats.

To start, Our server Daniel was very friendly and gave us recommendations for their favorite dishes. We were staying in Laughlin and found this gem on a Sunday. Let me tell you! Staff very welcoming and nice & clean environment. Food was delicious. We had a cup of Pozole, cup of Menudo, Camarones a la Diabla, Tacos Charros de carnitas and Asada. Fish taco was good and a cold nice beer of course with all this food. Thank you! We are definitely coming back from LA. Let's go DODGERS

Where to start? You know when you come to a restaurant and people are waiting outside it has to be good. Well there was only 2 of us so we were seated immediately. Excellent chile verde, chile relleno, everything else. They have someone making fresh tortillas where you can watch, and they are served steaming hot, right off the ... grill? I don't know what the stone thing they cook them on is called. Service is wonderful, and the place has a warm ambiance.

Clean and well decorated restaurant, in a lively upbeat environment. Our server Carla seemed happy to hustle back and forth to take our order, bring us food and drinks, while doing the same for the surrounding tables. The food was better than the fair price would suggest. With a selection of beer on tap, TVs showing sports, and Mexican music in the background, I'd highly recommend that you try this restaurant for any occasion!
