El Chiringuito de Casa Bonay

It was our last night in Barcelona and the rooftop restaurant felt right. While it was a bit cloudy, we still caught a bit of the sunset. I’ll bet that it would have been spectacular on another night. The food was delicious. We started with the hummus then the kebab and grilled mackerel. My only complaint is that I could not get comfortable even though I sat on a bench with a couple cushions. It struck me that this is a great place to meet for a small to large group for drinks while nibbling on food.

The best welcome party location we could have ever found. Laura was our event manager and she was more than helpful in planning from the states and execution on the day. It was a private event for our group and even in the hottest part of summer, the shade and views were perfect. The menu was one our group couldn’t stop talking about as being so delicious! Thank you for having us!

We had a reservation for dinner starting at 18:30, but the kitchen didn't open until 19:00. Not a big deal except they seemed severely understaffed to deal with the rush when people came. Once they took our order at 19:00, it took about 25 minutes for our food to come and the pork was completely raw so we sent it back to the kitchen. They forgot about my drink order and I got it at the end of the meal. I saw many people going up to the waitress and saying, "we've been waiting a long time for xxx thing, is it coming?" There were two ceiling fans that didn't work... We got one of the few seats under a working one, but in general felt like a lack of attention to detail that I wasn't expecting at Casa Bonay. The Babagonoush was amazing.

I enjoyed a lot my stay here. Took a celery dip, eggplant/tomato dip, and a chocolate dip for a dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS. Ambient was very cozy. Service was quick and workers were very welcoming.

I had early dinner-quick bite with some friends. Nice vibes, lots of ‘visitors’. Although not a local I consider myself as one having lived 20+ in Barcelona. We ordered the ‘meze trio’: labne, hummus and babaganoush (which is actually NOT a babaganoush but sort of smokey slow cooked aubergines with tomatoes) with some pita bread: all absolutely and surprisingly delicious! Prices in line with most of trendy BCN places but overall reasonable considered the quality of the food. I would definitely recommend it and wouldn’t mind to visit again! It’s preferable to book.

Amazing food! Got the recommendation from a friend who is a cook and I thanked him greatly after this meal.

Delicious! Fresh tastes, surprisingly cheap, and super quick and nice service. Lots of vegetarian dishes. You can bring your dog too
