El Cielo de Montera

I visited El Cielo de Montera, located atop the Montera Hotel (Curio Collection by Hilton), and had a great experience from start to finish. When I mentioned at the front desk on the ground floor that I wanted to visit the rooftop, I was kindly informed that there is a €10 minimum spend, paid upfront but fully redeemable against the bill which I would consider a reasonable policy for a popular rooftop venue. The space itself is lovely. It was a chilly night, but the staff had plenty of heaters and blankets available, making it very comfortable to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. The views from the rooftop are fantastic, and the bar has a stylish, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in. Drinks were excellent, well-made and nicely presented. Overall, it’s a great spot for a drink with a view in Madrid, and I’d happily return.

Lovely rooftop bar with great views and extremely profesional service. Heaters on most tables for colder evenings. Super friendly. Its slightly more upmarket than many other places but well worth a couple drinks here. Very reccomendable.

Breathtaking views and amazing service at this little roof top bar! Came in without reservation and was lucky to be offered one of the best seats in the house, right opposite Edificio de la Compañía Telefónica. Would recommend! Garcias x (The lift is a vibe too)

Highlight of charming, beautifully appointed Hilton Curio Montera- in the heart of Madrid views of Gran Via and all the Madrid buzz. My 4th stay.Love this city and my choice hostal! Don’t miss the roof top, Cielo (heaven!) anytime, sunset even more special. Pietro the Barman, an Italian artist! The cocktails beautifully served and shaken with gusto. Beautiful team, so friendly and engaging! Highly recommend!

Don’t miss the Pisco Sour cocktail. Make a reservation before you go, or you might have to wait in line outside for a long time.

Amazing rooftop for sunset and drinks in Madrid! There was a line to get in, and the 10€ entry was later deducted from our bill, which was a nice touch. I’d definitely go again.

We stayed at the Hotel Montera twice. Our first and last night's in Madrid were spent here at the rooftop bar, El Cielo de Montera, a a couple nights in between. The service is excellent, the bartender and drinks are outstanding and you cannot beat the city skyline view. The menu offers a variety of typical Spanish bar eats, all tasty , one of our favorites was the rabo de toro sliders. If you are staying at the hotel, you get priority and don't require reservations. If not a guest of the hotel, better make reservations or you'll be waiting downstairs at street level for clearance to go up. Pablo and his crew are the best!
