If your thing is ambiance while dining El Ciruelo is the place you want to eat with a beautiful mountain view http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#mVjUZWPyKoo11YbtVoDPOA from an outdoor open air eating area.
The food... while it was good, just not as top notch as the ambiance, I might not have the correct names to the dishes as many of my photos on this trip did not come out well... too much Tequila?
Arrachera "El Ciruelo" (?) http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#9JS_b067CQY34hjeHW-yaQ This was an appetizer, nicely grilled skirt steak (carne asada) rice, guacamole, tortilla covered in mole, and beans with queso fresco. Nice cut of meat lean, tender and flavorful, rice I didn't try, guacamole was fresh, and mole was delicious!
Cecina de Yecapixtla (?) http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#kq2Vq6tTZCDpvs9ggPO7QQ I'm not sure if this is the correct dish as Cecina is served dry, it's kinda on the beef jerky side though not as dry, anyhow I was told it was good, the orange is sliced carrots, with a side of silky mashed potato's
Chile en Nogada http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#6QOBbQNAzjDPsn1eJhjW2A This is a traditional dish using ingredients Red, White and Green to resemble the Mexican Flag... a Pimped Out Chili Relleno sort of speak, roasted Poblano chilis are then stuffed with a picadillo mixture, covered with (the white) a sauce made of Walnut and topped with (the red) pomegranate seeds "this is a seasonal dish due to the pomegranates availability"
The Highlight of the meal was obviously the View and the Chile en Nogada, if in the area it's a place I'd recommend you come check out.
