Absolutely amazing hotel. How is it that the beds, showers, blow dryer are better than any branded hotel I've stayed in. Excellent service, clean and the rooms are gorgeous as well as the public courtyard. It's extremely safe and private. One of the highlights of our trip to Tepoztlán was staying at this hotel. Our room was Federica #3, very spacious with all of the amenities you might need, the room doesn't have a hot tub, instead it has a beautiful fountain and private patio with breathtaking views of the mountains. Perfect place for a couple weekend getaway. Can't recommend this place enough. 💓💓💓

Google
One of my favorite hotels in all Mexico. I really loved this place. Each room has a great room, the rooms are comfortable, and the service is fantastic.

Google
Delicious food, great service and good prices. We had the crepas en nogada, the steak and enchiladas de Jamaica. So delicious!!

Google
A classic Mexican restaurant with a spectacular view. As a starter you get chicharron or chips, for lunch we ordered a very tasty chile en nogada, chicken breast in mole, which is also very tasty, and grilled skirt steak. The drinks are very tasty, such as natural waters. There is a shop inside with very nice crafts.

I always have dinner or lunch at El Ciruelo when I travel to Tepoz. I changed my reservation like 4 times using the WhatsApp contact, they were very friendly and accomodating. Food is just stunning!!! Queso envuelto en hoja Santa, Chiles rellenos de Jaiba.. mhhmhmh getting hungry again. View is magnificent, food is absolutely delicious, prices are reasonable for the quality of the food!!! I hope to visit the hotel and stay there in the future!

Superb Restaurant with really nice views of the Tepozteco. Service was prompt and courteous. Food was really good!

Google
This place was a disappointment. The food was average at best. The only thing positive for the food was the presentation. The started us off with a some complimentary chips that were stale and looked like cheap Doritos. I had shrimp tacos that contained maybe $1.00 worth of thawed out shrimp. The plating looked nice, but the food was hardly warm. I had to wait a while for the server to come back and check if everything was okay. So it took a while to get my plate reheated. This was almost a $15.00 dish that was really worth only a few dollars. The only other thing positive about this place was the view of the mountain.

Google
This hotel is beyond pet friendly, from the stencil on the outside to the various paw prints imprinted in the tiles and pillars, it was charming to know my dogs were beyond welcome. Everything was perfect about our stay, from the drinking water provided in beautiful pitchers, to the small private pool, to the outdoor patio furniture where we enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the morning. I would not think of booking elsewhere if I visted Tepoztlán again.

Yelp
El Ciruelo is definitely a popular spot in Tepoz for dining - specifically, for their mole and sweeping views of the mountains! We went there for a late night dinner (like, 9pm) for mole, apps, and marags. The menu is robust - featuring everything from chile en nogada and fideo seco to cochinita pibil and cecina (a salted and cured style of meat by way of Spanish tradition). We had great service and food, and I would definitely return for daytime dining to enjoy the patio views.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service. Prices reasonable for such delicious and fresh food. Kids ate everything. We tried lots of things and all was excellent

Yelp
I really love this place. It is beautiful. The service is great. The music is relaxing. I ordered an octopus and shrimp salad. I also ordered mole and chicken enchiladas. Everything was yummy and authentic. The Salad was fantastic and fresh. You would like this place.

Yelp
El Ciruelo is the best restaurant in all Tepoztlan! After my husband and I decided to visit Tepoztlan, my family highly recommended El Ciruelo. I was even shocked to see that every person that knew we were going to visit Tepoztlan, kept bringing El Ciruelo into conversation. We looked at their Yelp page and the reviews were kind of mixed, but I am so glad we decided to listen to our family. First of all, what a view! If you are sitting in the patio you get a beautiful view of the Tepozteco and can admire how beautiful it is. We had dinner around sunset time, and it was even more beautiful to see the Tepozteco during the golden hour. The food was also five stars! As an appetizer we went for the taquitos de chilorio, and they were very delicious and flavourful. If you've never had chilorio, I would describe it as a mix of shredded beef with a taste to chorizo. For my main course, I went for the cecina. WOW!!! Simple WOW! The cecina was the best I've ever had in my entire life. Cecina is a salty piece of steak which is very common in the south. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tepoztlan!

Yelp
In an amazing setting seats this wonderful restaurant, with delicacies from the region and Mexican gourmet plates, the service is fantastic and the food and drinks out of this world, next time I'll try the desserts and I'll let you know!

Yelp
Beautiful view! You're paying for the view and atmosphere - not so much the food. You walk into El Ciruelo greeted by a friendly hostess who takes you for a long walk to the restaurant area. We were handed an English version menu - very helpful. We ordered negronis to start and were brought chips and salsa to eat as we enjoyed the view of the mountains. Our shrimp tacos and salmon came out quick. Both these entrees were pretty good but nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. Nothing to remember. My boyfriend had a big appetite and ended up ordering the crusted fish with mango dish after his salmon. I personally thought this dish was nasty. It had a sort of quinoa breading and mango baby food sauce with a side of dry white rice. Still laughing about this, honestly. All in all, it's worth going to but I wouldn't expect anything grand. It's also the most money we spent at any restaurant our whole vacation and we had way nicer and better meals in cdmx!

Yelp
Pure magic!!! Came here February 03 and that afternoon was just spectacular. The views, the food, the service was amazing. Top 5 restaurants on my list, I will go back to Tepoztlán again and dine at El Ciruelo.

Yelp
We sat in the middle of the dining area outside under a cover. The weather was perfect. There was a beautiful view of the mountain. We started with a cheese that we all split. I had the bean soup which was good and I would get it again. My friend had the tortilla soup (Sopa de tortilla "Marta"). It was a rather plain tomato flavor. Another friend had the avocado soup which was cold and delicious. The avocado soup won the round as best. For entrees, one friend had a huge meat dish on a platter which came with guacamole, beans, and an empanada with mole. It was called Cecina de Yecapixtla. It won the round of entrees! I had shrimp tacos (3 per order) that were good but I would order something different next time. The other friend had a chicken in cream dish that was also delicious and a tie for best dish. It was called, "Pechuga relleno de huitlachoce en salsa de queso de cabra."

Yelp
If your thing is ambiance while dining El Ciruelo is the place you want to eat with a beautiful mountain view http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#mVjUZWPyKoo11YbtVoDPOA from an outdoor open air eating area. The food... while it was good, just not as top notch as the ambiance, I might not have the correct names to the dishes as many of my photos on this trip did not come out well... too much Tequila? Arrachera "El Ciruelo" (?) http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#9JS_b067CQY34hjeHW-yaQ This was an appetizer, nicely grilled skirt steak (carne asada) rice, guacamole, tortilla covered in mole, and beans with queso fresco. Nice cut of meat lean, tender and flavorful, rice I didn't try, guacamole was fresh, and mole was delicious! Cecina de Yecapixtla (?) http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#kq2Vq6tTZCDpvs9ggPO7QQ I'm not sure if this is the correct dish as Cecina is served dry, it's kinda on the beef jerky side though not as dry, anyhow I was told it was good, the orange is sliced carrots, with a side of silky mashed potato's Chile en Nogada http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/el-ciruelo-morelos#6QOBbQNAzjDPsn1eJhjW2A This is a traditional dish using ingredients Red, White and Green to resemble the Mexican Flag... a Pimped Out Chili Relleno sort of speak, roasted Poblano chilis are then stuffed with a picadillo mixture, covered with (the white) a sauce made of Walnut and topped with (the red) pomegranate seeds "this is a seasonal dish due to the pomegranates availability" The Highlight of the meal was obviously the View and the Chile en Nogada, if in the area it's a place I'd recommend you come check out.

Yelp
I enjoyed a beautiful dinner here with my girlfriends. The ambiance, service, view, and food were all delicious. We tried the Marlin wraps from the appetizer menu as well as the Shrimp Tacos. All were superb and just enough so that you did not feel heavy. The quality of the food really comes through in taste. Thank you for a gorgeous evening. If you are visiting this little town this is a must try, you will be in awe.

Yelp
Found this gem on Yelp, and it was a winner! The quality of the food, the service, the food selection, was nothing compared to the view of the Tepozteco. It feels surreal!

David R.

Yelp
Great outdoor setting. You get a view of the mountains, but you are outside so we experienced some flys n one bee. Food wasn't all that great, but it was decent. You are paying more for the view here. Good music too, classic and smooth but I really wish the food wow'd me more.

Jessy E.

Yelp
Most tables are set on a breezy outdoor terrace and have a spectacular view of the soaring cliffs surrounding the "magical town". We just had coffee and some appetizers - all of which were delicious. Serves gourmet mexican food. Worth heading off the main street to dine at this place. They also have free wifi.

Yelp
Beautiful garden setting al fresco dining among the mountains surrounding Tepoztlan. Our party loved the blue corn enchiladas con camarones, the enchiladas con cochinita pibil with a deliciously mild habanero sauce and the pollo rolled in a tasty corn fungus (mushroom) in a goat cheese sauce. Outstanding all around! Great wine list and good pairing suggestions. Looking forward to a return visit.

Yelp
Excellent , every time I come to this place something is different , but always delicious , the service is good and the food amazing , personally I recommend la pechuga con huitlacoche al queso de cabra , definitely my favorite

Adriana M.

Yelp
The view is fantastic. They serve an exotic Mexican menu. Their food is different and really good. They are a bit more expensive than any other restaurant in the area but its totally worth the price.

Yelp
Great food with the nicest view!! Good service and nice price for what you actually get. It gets crowded on weekends. Many people make the trip from Mexico City just to eat here. Big families and large groups are welcome.
