El Dokka Resturant

Brought here by our tour guide, but I did feel it was reasonably priced for the large portions. We had the chicken grill, which was very tender. Plus you get a really incredible view as a side dish!

Nice location, good view, you need the boat to arrive at the restaurant. The grilled fish and beef stool were delicious. Lemon juice with peppermint was great. By the way, the drink may be over charge for the foreigners.

Food was very good especially the seafood Tajin. Views were the amazing, the nile with the boats seems magical there.

The most scenic and romantic spot to have a tajine. By pure chance we took a cute ferry boat in aswan that brought us to the Nubian restaurant El Dokka, situated above the nile on its own little island. We had the chance to sit on the small terrace above the Nile while the sun set on the opposite river bank. The service was excellent, the baba ganoush very very good, the tajines absolutely decent. No fancy chichi, a welcoming restaurant, very good food. Make sure you try the nubian coffee! See you soon, gentle and friendly El Dokka team!

This place was recommend for lunch by our tour guide and it was worth the recommendation. The food was very good in quality and flavour, the ambience is well set with a good view of the nile and it's tributaries. Very good service too, based on your taste or need, they do suggest from the menu what suits the best. Worth a try while you are in Aswan. One can also enjoy the locally brewed coffee that's fresh and refreshing.

Beautiful place on an island 🏝️ in river Nile. Almost at the end of Nile river towards Aswan Dam and close to Nubian village, the Dokka restaurant is known for excellent Nubian Cuisine. We tried their chicken recipe with Tahini & Humus, and also Fish and rice made in Nubian style. Very spacious restaurant offering breathtaking view of great Nile and villages nearby. You have to take a boat to reach the restaurant since the place is on an island.

The scenery is wonderful, food is good, prices are are high. Service is good

It is located in the middle of the Nile with an amazing view and premium location 👌. The welcome is very warm and the service is very friendly, they also have good menu. The food was so 🫣 disappointing in terms of taste and quality, maybe because the place was empty. Overall experience is below average.
