El Dorado Kayak

What an amazing experience with Martin. We stayed in Buenos Aires and were looking for a nearby kayaking experience around the islands in the Tigre suburbs. El Dorado cme highly recommend, and Martin met and exceeded all expectations. He was timely in his responses and even a few minutes early to our rendezvous point. The entire experience from pick up to drop off in Tigre was just over 5 hours. This included a 35 minute boat ride each way, 3 hours of kayaking and another hour pre and post kayaking at Martin's home property where the kayaking starts and ends. There is a separate area apart from his home where this is done, and it even had two new and clean bathrooms with running water. We also shared some Mata (traditional Argentine tea) and homemade bread with local honey (or cheese but we chose the amazing honey). At around $60 per person, this was a great value. In addition to a great experience, Martin is both highly professional and very relaxed at the same time. He is very knowledgeable and the area, ecology, and culture. I can see why so many upper middle class and higher choose to have second homes in this area. This is a must for anyone change visiting Buenos Aires.

We would give this 10 stars if we could. We did the full day experience with Martin which included a scenic ride in his motor boat out to the base. When we arrived, Martin treated us to coffee and breakfast which we were not expecting. After breakfast, we explored the delta by kayak for a little over three hours. Martin explained so much about the land and history of the area. We returned to the base and Martin made us a delicious homemade lunch. I am vegetarian and it was honestly the best vegetarian meal I have had in my three weeks in Argentina. We had beer, coffee and mate and enjoyed conversation with Martin. As the tide has risen we were able to take another route back to Tigre through the delta and Martin dropped us off right in front of our apartment. From the start, communication was easy and clear. The entire experience was so special and such a wonderful end to our honeymoon. We highly recommend choosing El Dorado Kayak for a unique and bespoke experience.

This was the highlight of our trip to Buenos Aires! We learned so much about the history, wildlife and everyday experience of Tigre. Such a beautiful glimpse of this immensely unique place. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and leisurely day in the delta!

One of our absolute favorite experiences in our time in Buenos Aires. So good we came twice in two months. It worked well for our family with one 9 year old sitting in the front of a double kayak with me in the back. Martin is super nice and knowledgeable. Kayaking is definitely the best way to experience all the little streams and inlets and whatnot. When we did the Delta in a larger motor boat later, it was far less interesting. The after kayak hangout in the bungalow was also super pleasant. Sip mate or beer, eat some snacks, and learn more about the area.

Absolutely brilliant day with Martin. He picked us up in Tigre and we went to beautiful and tranquil parts of the Delta well away from the busy sections. Through the trip he gave us such interesting information about life on the islands. We couldn't recommend this trip more highly.

What an amazing day! Pick up was on time, we had the most beautiful day kayaking. We learned tons about the geography and history of the area. Our guide was so helpful and enjoyable to spend the day with. We were treated to snacks and mate after our journey. We got to see detailed maps of where we had been, and we even had a sweet little neighbor dog swimming with us part of the way. Worth the money? Absolutely! Would recommend a hundred times over!

Martin was an excellent guide to the Paraná Delta, and really made us feel welcome while providing an interesting perspective of the ecosystem, history and modern life in the Delta. We did a morning kayak outing which was exactly the right length for two rusty paddlers and was topped off by a tasty snack and mate. Highly recommend if you're looking for a change of pace from Buenos Aires. Note: would advise a weekday if possible as weekends are apparently very crowded on the water.

The Kayak experience with Martin was absolutely amazing! You start with a boat ride to a calmer place where you switch into the Kayak. The route Martin chose is less busy and makes the experience more awesome. Additionally, you learn a lot about the delta. I would absolutely recommend doing it!
