Room was fine small but the bathroom is a good size. Everything about our stay was great until our last day when we went to check out, there was a woman working the reservation desk who we asked if we could use the towels for the beach, she said of course and honestly seemed confused that we asked first. When we came back to return them she practically wouldn't take them back and said that those towels weren't for the beach. She checked us out, so knows what room we had and therefore only towels available. If that were the end of it fine, but instead she complained loudly to the other workers at the hotel restaurant ins Spanish (assuming we didn't understand but my husband speaks Spanish) that we took the towels to the beach, and also complianed about us using the complimentary drink voucher. Why say yes to using the towels or provide a voucher if you would then treat hotel guests in such an incredibly rude way? It was a terrible end to our stay.

Booked this place at the last minute, because I didn't know where i would end up that night. The hotel was very difficult to find and nowhere close by to park. Don't try to use your GPS, if coming by car, because it's up an alley and the streets nearby are for deliveries, official vehicles and mainly locales. Parking anywhere close is a hassle. Does not have it's own check in. You need to go to the La Sacristia a couple of blocks away to check in. Staff at check in was very nice and they even provide a welcome drink.|It was not expensive so I really was not expecting a lot, but the it was still a bit of letdown. Very small room interior room in a building that appears to be primarily apartments. No lobby unless you go to the Sacristia. Mattress not particularly comfortable. Convenient location, but frankly Tarifa is so compact, everything is within a reasonable walk. I hate to be mean, but I would not stay there again.

very nice hotel, all new inside. Had a lovely room with a rooftop terrace. Check-in was a Little complicated, as the reception is in another hotel around the corner, but staff was super friendly and helpful, so all good! Had a great stay!

Great sister hotel to Posada Sacrista. |We still prefer Sacrista but it’s now too expensive for us so Escondite is a good alternative |It does have a lift which is useful and also is down a quiet back street |Lovely bed linen and fluffy pillows |We have already booked again for another stay

I'm so glad hostel Tarifa didn't have space otherwise we would never have stayed at this delightful boutique hotel. ||We stayed on the roof which they call the attic. The room was so different with a see through glass shower and toilet area.||The owner "Nadia"and her staff were absolutely fantastic, helpful, accommodating, generous (on arrival we got two cold beers). Now that's service. She liked us so don't expect that's a norm!!!!||Each room are not numbered but go by a poem which is below - so unique!! |Ours was the fifth one down......|"Humedas Palabras"||There are a lot of stairs to walk so don't bring a heavy suitcase, especially if you're at the top. Our room had a little outside area so we could sit and have a drink before heading out for the night. ||There is no parking inside the old town and if you do happen to park outside remember not to park on blue or the red marked areas. The police are very busy writing out tickets. There are two open car parking areas but they're expensive. ||The hotel is tucked away in the old town along an alley close enough to the restaurants, shops and bakeries. ||The room was cleaned everyday we got fresh towels sheets and an amazing arrange of toiletry goodies. ||1. The pineapple poem is from us to the two wonderful ladies at the front desk....|2. The second photo is the two winds you get in Tarifa. "Well drawn"|3. The third photo is the poem on the wall which indicates each room.....||Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Located in the old town, lots of resturants around this place. Super super nice and very helpful staff, clean and tidy bathroom and beds. We stayed 4 night was pretty cool! They have contacts for windsurfing or kite surfing if you need. Only one thing my girlfriend was complaining we had 2 small mattress instead of one double bed. Highly recommended if you need a quite calm place for your vacation :)

This quaint hotel is the perfect place to explore the town and wider area. Right in the centre of the old town it is steps from great restaurants and bars making it perfect for enjoying the best of Tarifa.|The lack of breakfast, AC and good wifi may put some off but as a guesthouse it more than makes up for it with excellent recommendations, service and hosting. You feel welcomed throughout and well looked-after.|

I have stayed here several times since my last review which was not a ringing endorsement. Why, owners come and go, some are better than others, now that the owner is back and has been for while Escondite is even better now. ||||Gone is the breakfast, rooms are secure and clean. Staffed at night. Everything you would expect from a boutique hotel. Yes the bathrooms are different but quite stylish if not private, TV, wifi, no room safe, plenty of storage, fan operated||I for one cannot wait to return to this lovely treasure in Tarifa old town. decent value for money and the owner is lovely, chilled out and happy to help if required.
