An institution that one must go to while Cadiz....the starter of anchovy was beautifull presentable and well balanced and delicious in the palate. Other starters are the marinated blue fin tuna and the artichoke with lard, both delicious. We had the fish of the day as main course, snapper which cooked into perfection. And do not miss the dessert, hazelnuts flan with Amontillado ! They do have a tapas bar at the back of restaurant which we did not have time to try out. We will surely be back.

At Restaurante El Faro de Cádiz I ate in the tapas bar area, not the formal restaurant. As for the sea urchin, it was interesting to try but I wouldn't get it again. The battered cod dipped in mustard sauce was yummy. The pistachio dessert was similar to flan but I didn't care for the salt sprinkles on it. Not overly sweet though, which I liked.

Recommended as the best restaurant in Cadiz, it did not disappoint us. The menu is full of fish, meat and vegetables for any taste. My favorite was an artichoke appetizer and a grilled slice of ocean fish. Delicious cheese cake was a perfect finish for unforgettable dinner in Cadiz.

With good reason the most famous restaurant in Cádiz. Traditional local cuisine of the highest quality. The shrimp fritters were spectacular, just like our dinner in general. Only the tomato salad lacked a little bit of salt. The place is always packed in the summer months. I recommend making a reservation several days or, better, weeks in advance. While it's possible to get a table without a reservation, you'll likely have to queue for a long time.

Top food, service and friendliness from start to finish. So good we’re returning a week after having eaten there the first time. Valet parking is also a huge plus. Do yourself a favour and book a table.

Had high hopes for this place, we had heard it was a nice restaurant close to a fine dining experience. I really only wanted to come here to try the sea urchin. The place was nice enough but when everyone is dressed up and there's some random dude cutting about in a matching tracksuit and sliders it sorted of ruins the experience of "fine dining". The urchin was actually delicious. The fish of the day, meh, it was ok, had a few bones in it. Wife's steak was very under cooked for what she asked for. It was ok but nothing special.

Best food on our 3 weeks of travelling through Europe. Food was excellent quality for a reasonable price. Service was friendly. The sea urchin was our favourite! The fried fish was very light & crispy - not greasy. Only complaint is the Cadiz style seafood rice was too salty, and had much more broth than expected. We went to the bar area as tapas are not available in the restaurant area. Arrive early, as it fills up quickly.

Make a RESERVATION! Although, if you’re willing to wait, then walk around the corner to their bar entrance. Once you’ve had a drink, then there’s a chance a table becomes available. Be sure to talk to the “bar guy” in charge of who’s on the waiting list. Well worth the wait! Everything that we got was tasty, especially the white asparagus, the tomatoes in oil & the rock fish with lime mayonnaise. The king prawns tasted like lobster! “The bar guy” took care of us and ensured that we got a table. Our waiter was friendly and spoke enough English so that we could order with ease. Our table had stools that were a bit unsteady, so they were a bit precarious. Very cool decor within the various rooms that seemed to go on forever.

Yelp
WOW!!! If you are looking for a premier dining experience, look no further. The staff is both professional and friendly. Of course the drinks are excellent... The food options offer you the best of the region. Make sure you try the red tuna belly. It is the best fish-dish I have had in my life. Highly recommend!!!
