El Farolito

This place was an awesome eclectic spot with delicious authentic New Mexican food. Really friendly staff. Highly worth a stop if you're in the area. Just know that's its cash-only and the wait can be long if you don't get there early (4pm).

This is a New Mexico classic. The place is very small, maybe seating 20 max. It is also not date- night fancy but that is part of the charm. And the food is well worth the drive. Just call to make sure they are open as hours are limited.

We drove 50 miles to go to this highly recommended restaurant. Opening hours began at 3:00 pm. We were there at 3:00 and was not open. At 3:10 an employee told us it would be 10 minutes. We left after an additional 15-20 minutes. Don’t understand why the door couldn’t open and allow us to sit down or at least use restroom facilities. Disappointed we missed eating there but drive there was nice. New Mexico is on their own time clock… another great thing about it!

Definitely a hole in the wall type place. Food was 10/10 had to give the cook $10 tip 😋 highly reccomend the banana split

Easy to miss as you drive into El Rito NM, but that would be a mistake! Superb hospitality, best burgers and home made Mexican food North of Santa Fe! Be sure to stop. Highly recommended.

Very good priced food, sells some snacks / eggs / veggies. Note tacos are hard shelled and chicken is pulled/stringy. Highlight is the people working there, the rice and prices.

This is literally about the size of a trailer, so "hole in the wall"does not describe it. But it is also an experience that the street foodie does not want to miss. If you are in the area, you must try it out. I like to go there after hiking the surface of the moon (Plaza Blanca) and before driving to Taos.

This is a must stop! It's the "Hole in the wall" restraunt you want to find on your trip. Guacamole and chips where a great appetizer! Enchiladas and tacos where great! And that green chili has many awards for a reason! Stop there and eat, Dominic will treat you right! And you will leave full!
