El Gaucho | Hai Ba Trung

The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. Even though it was quite busy on the weekend, the staff were very attentive and helpful with their recommendations. The prices are on the higher side, but totally worth it for the quality. Everything was delicious, from the salad and steak to the dessert. Especially the steak — it was super tender and juicy. Definitely worth trying!

We ordered the t bone & 2 platters to share with side dishes. Beetroot salad was good for starters. Nicely done grilled meats. Great service. Only thing i dislike was the service staff deliberately frying onions next to our table just for the smell (????). I would return just for the quality of the meats (esp beef cuts) but be prepared to wash my hair post meal. :)

It was my first Argentinian meat and I have to say it was just amazing. Cooked to perfection, well served, service (kudos to Albert) was on the highest level… this is a Michelin selected restaurant and you can feel it in many aspects. It is pricey but in my opinion definitely worth the experience.

Argentinian steakhouse out in HCMC, has to be a surprise for anyone visiting it for the first time. Everything was so neat, and every working staff was so attentive to each customer. Food was good, but I'd say there could be more improvement for the side dishes like the mac and cheese, and the cream spinach. The highlight definitely has to be the grilled steak, with the perfect char and medium rare doneness.

Steak cooked to perfection. Good service. Nice atmosphere. If this was all that mattered, then definitely 5 stars... but need to say the price is almost double the price I would pay at an equally good steak restaurant in the Netherlands. 88 usd per person for only (simple) steak, salad, and a glass of wine. High prices probably due to import costs but still... this needs to be included in the review. If price doesn't matter then it would be 5 stars. But for me, although I'm glad I tried it, I wouldn't go back. Being here in Vietnam, i could eat great food for a week, for the same price.

Good place to mix it up from local cuisine. Our steak was over cooked at first but they were very nice and quick when asked for new medium rare replacement.
