Beautiful place and atmosphere with delicious food! Definitely wanna come back and try more dishes!

This is a must-visit place in Madrid. However, it is a hidden gem. The entrance is a little shop, and you may feel underwhelmed, but continue to the second floor. The decor, the service and the food are top notch. We enjoyed our dinner as a couple there and will definitely go again during our next visit.

3 of us came for our daughters birthday. Waited an hour before getting any attention to drinks or food. Party of 5 next to us that arrived way after us received 8 dishes before we received 1/3 of ours. Couldn’t get refills or a waiter to even pay attention to our table. That being said, service was terrible! Food was actually amazing.

Google
Amazing value for money on the menu del dia. The fish was very soft and fresh and the beef stew was very tasty. The lemon mousse and cappucino were really really good too. Would totally recommend this place to anyone!

This is a very interesting space above a store. The seating was very comfortable if not a bit too close to the next table. After a bit of concern with the menu in trying to decipher starters from mains, we managed to order 4 delicious meals. The standouts were the artichoke gyozas, the mussels & the beef cheeks. My El Imparcial cocktail was a bit tasteless, but my partner enjoyed his white wine. The clientele is young & trendy.

Google
Average. The food seems attractive when you read the lunch menu... but it is disappointing. The hummus was too liquid. The tuna main course was a rip-off: 5 slim pieces of 3-4cm, people looked at me laughing when it was served. The dessert apple crumble was the bare mininum, I make it better at home. 15€ lunch menu seems too expensive for this food. The place has its own vibe but it is a bit old. It is spacious.... vertically, with very high ceilings but the tables are small and very squeezed one next to another. The service was OK. I will not go back.

Everything was perfect. We had a tuna tartar, mussels, artichokes, and cuttlefish for dinner. The food was delicious, the best tuna tartar I've ever eaten. One of the dishes wasn't perfect, we asked to replace it, and they did it apologizing, without any problem. The service and the atmosphere were great. Definitely 5/5

Google
Super quick service but not sacrificed by the quality of the food and ambience. We got the burrata, black rice paella and risotto and cheesecake which was more like a mix of a flan (so it was more light than a traditional American cheesecake and no picture because we devoured it too quickly!) the paella could have used more of the white cream but everything else was perfect!

Yelp
Let's start with the atmosphere! The restaurant feels very upscale and spacious. A very beautiful spot. The food came out a bit slowly and at different times, but everything was of good quality. We tried the Iberica cheek and sweet potatoes, which exceeded expectations. Wish the burrata came with bread, but was tasty nonetheless. Service was a bit slow, but servers were kind.

Yelp
The service was fantastic, and all of the servers were friendly and spoke very good English. Chic, and a perfect spot for a date in such a romantic city. We came here for drinks and tapas on a Friday night before meeting up with friends and got drinks: - Tom Collins - Margarita Paired with fresh fish based dishes: - Tuna tartar - Salmon Sashimi The tartar was amazing and the best I've had in Madrid (I've had it 3 times). Salmon sashimi was beautifully presented but it was not as soft and marinated as much i would have liked. My biggest gripe with this meal, and it is a small one. Is that the Tom Collins was not served in a Collins glass and could really use more ice. The drink was not as refreshing, and it was really very salty for my taste. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but otherwise everything else was fantastic.

Yelp
Maybe my best meal in Madrid! The categories are wrong on this Yelp page - I'd describe it as brunch/Mediterranean/Spanish/coffee shops/cafe. This is obviously a huge spot for breakfast/brunch and the place was packed the whole time I was there on a Sunday. I came with a big group and service was great. Ambiance is also super chic. I started with a latte, then tried: + Patatas bravas + Broken eggs with sweet potato, parmesan and truffle + Grilled artichokes, served with pumpkin + Tuna tartare + Oxtail croquettes + Carrot cake + Ice cream pot The highlights were the tuna tartare, which was one of the best I've ever had, and the croquettes. Everything was awesome though!

Yelp

Yelp
A hip and trendy themed restaurant with a book store/gift shop downstairs, charming and rustic feel restaurant upstairs serving Spanish fare of beauty and deliciousness. Highly recommend for those who want to avoid the tourists- but you must call and make an appointment as it is super popular and gets full fast. They even give you only 1 hour to eat before moving you to other tables to continue your conversation/dessert time. Prices are middle tier- but you really are paying for the ambiance and the food is over all pretty good. You can find more touristy places for cheaper, but that is always a gamble b/c you may or may not find a good place. The overall feel of the restaurant is bright and rustic, and portions are pretty good sized. You will get full here even if you split a meal with friends. We ordered the broken eggs (huevos roots), octopus with potatoes, and a salad. It is essentially an over easy egg over fried potatoes- this place varied its potatoes with purple and white potatoes to give it an aesthetically pleasing look and texture variation. Highly recommend the broken eggs bc its a top Spanish dish one must try when in Spain and the octopus on potatoes is also a must. Squid is a beloved thing here in this country, so any squid dish must be considered. They like pairing the squid with potatoes here. Both octopus and squid are cooked to perfect tenderness and the mild potato combination is quite "comfort food" to me. Heavy meal of course but not overly heavy in spices

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant on the second floor of a building with a gift shop/book store below. I believe this building used to be an old newspaper stand/bookshop. We went for the lunch set menu at 14 euros. There were two appetizer menus (a mixed salad and also a cauliflower option) as well as two main course options (a thinly sliced beef in a tomato and cheese salsa and a fish). The food was very well cooked and flavorful and of high quality. The portions were medium sized and filling along with bread served and wine. The ambiance and building is very pleasant and a great place for a special meal. Reserve ahead. It is very popular with Spaniards but I am guessing less known by tourists.

Yelp
Started the evening off with a pitcher of Sangria. The cool drink was the perfect choice. Ordered the patatas brava and was enraptured! The sauce was sooo delicious I wanted a bowl as soup! Potatoes were just right with a little crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Also enjoyed the pork tacos - similar to a pulled pork. The tacos were very tasty!

Yelp
Elegant, yet not too overhwelming or intimidating. The interior design deserves a review in itself- absolutely brilliant. The waiters are extremely quick and hardworking The pizza comes out on the wooden flat plat that is used to take it out of the oven and then put on your plate. I was blown away by the pure beauty of the interior, and based on previous reviews, was extremely impressed. A large part of why I love the style and vibe of Madrid.

Yelp
Hip, trendy locals all around. No tourists because the ground floor is a gift shop. 2nd floor is were all the action is. We walked in waiting to be seated, however the front half of the dining room is seat yourself. We were lucky enough to have a kind waitress explain to us how it works there. We went around 4pm and they had a smaller menu in English for us to order from. Our Airbnb was right beside and our host told us to check it out. Amazing hidden gem.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the kind of restaurant where the food has a great flavor but the service is so disappointing. They made many mistakes: the order, the attention...however, the dishes were well done and with plenty of tastiness. Heads or tails experience.

Yelp
Went there based on the reviews. Nice place. Modern room. Good service. Mediocre food. Uninspired presentation. Moderate prices. You will be better off eating at one of the places on the plaza nearby.

Yelp
We got a reservation extremely late on a Sunday. 11pm. There was barely anyone there but they offered that time on the website. I highly suggest you get a reservation because we couldn't get anything before 11 on the same day. The ambiance was very nice and the staff was very attentive... THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. My Spanish is horrible but we got ceviche, some chicken strips with an amazing bourbon sauce, some taquito things that were also amazing, and croquetas that are always good. And a bottle of wine and ice cream. Nice place

Yelp
I have been in restaurants that have a great decor. I have been in restaurants that have amazing food. And I have been in restaurants with a chill and easy going vibe. But it's rare that I experience all at once. We came here on our first day in Madrid around 5pm for dinner. But dinner isn't served here until about 8:30 oops. We ordered the hummus and the crotequetas de jamón. So delicious!!!!! I felt like crying man!! Waiters were super laid back and I wish I could be friends with them. They seem super cool. Anyway, amazing place!! My eyes were huge the entire time
