El Internado

I just had a short look and a bottle of water , all very good , amazing view,a fantastic mix of Loft , retro modern , spacious place on 2 floors. I need to come again and try the drinks and food , next time .... Everybody was very friendly, no problem of taking pictures or just have water. Cool location, check it out.

You really come here for the views. Food is pretty good. The staff is nice and friendly. Menu is bar food. Can get busy but the place is pretty big.

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at El Internado — we split the chicken salad and shredded beef. Both were above average. We appreciated how this restaurant has a unique view of the Valparaíso hillside vs the classic view of the ocean. I got a glass of the house Merlot which was also very good. Staff was attentive and spoke English well. I recommend stopping by if you are looking for a casual dinner spot.

Great view of Valparaiso upstairs, good service and tasty food. I had the hamburger internado and it was really good with generous serve: this burger definitely compares with the ones served in Australia where i live. The view at sunset and night is stunning. On saturday nights they seem to have music bands too. Great experience overall

Bad food with good presentation, nice view. The burger was overcooked and the ceviche lacked taste. The chocolate volcano was actually a brownie. Very overcooked. Not worth the price at all.

Nice crafted beer from Valparaíso, the food is good but the price is overrated. In my opinion, my ribs with sweet tomatoes jam was a surprise, but too small for my taste and some expensive.

The food is excellent, and the place is beautiful. It would be perfect if it wasn't for the service Wich is terrible, impolite and disrespectful. It still an excellent place to have both lunch and dinner.

I'm disappointed that I can't justifiably give this 5 stars. Food was good, atmosphere was great, and the art expo in the basement was just amazing. The service, though, was lacking. We waited a full hour for a cheeseburger. The waiter visited our table twice the entire time. After we finished eating, we sat and waited for over thirty minutes for him to either offer us dessert or the check before we finally got up to hunt him down ourselves. I'm not certain that we just had a terrible waiter; the place seems wildly understaffed.

Beautiful views from their second floor outdoor seating of the city from one side and a great small seating area on the other looking over the ocean. The restaurant is great for lunch and most of their items on their menu are below 8000CLP, aside for some pricier dishes. The vibes are perfect to enjoy for both the day and night vibes. My friend and I ate the Mechada Jugoso burger which was super tasty and I had a strawberry basil smoothie which was very refreshing. Sitting on the couches on a clear day is incredible and it will leave you wishing to just sit and read a book. Overall, the view for the prices is totally worth it!

Location In Cerro Allegre in the midst of shopping, restaurants, etc. Food This is a burger place. I had the bunless Internado burger with onion rings and it was pretty good. Cocktails were good but a bit pricier than other places. 2nd floor seating is outside and offers really nice views of Valparaiso. Atmosphere/decor Casual, bar type of atmospher Service Service was fine. Service in Chile is a bit less attentive than what we are accustomed to in the United States, but no problems here. Recommendation Nice place for a burger and a drink. Go if you're in the area.

Stopped by here for a quick drink with friends. The space is so cool!! We wish we could have stayed longer. We sat outside on the upstairs terrace, overlooking all the hills covered in colorful homes and buildings. It was an awesome view to take in while having a round of drinks. Our server was nice and spoke a little bit of English. Would definitely come back here and maybe try the food next time.

This place is a hidden gem in Valparaiso. I absolutely loved it here. I didn't have alot of time to spend since I stopped at 2 wineries otw here, but if you come to Valparaiso, you should stop here. I only had a coffee with milk, but its great to see an open kitchen where u can see ppl cooking your food. The atmosphere is nice & its very modern for sure. If you sit at the bar, you can see to the top of the city. I will definitely come back here again. :-)

Tried to have lunch in hotel Fauna but the terrace with view on the ocean was full, except for one place in full sun. No thank you. A little disappointed I left, but not wanting to start a new Yelp search I decided to go straight into the place in front of it. I had not found it on Yelp so I had no reference, but hey, let's try something new. Entering the spacious place I chose a table, with a not bad view. The waiter arrived and asked me if I would not like to sit on the terrace one floor up with a really great view? Of course, I did not mind. Having enjoyed the ocean views in Tulli and Concepcion, this view, entirely over the old town was the most stunning. I went for a selection of the tapas, taking the Tartaro di filete, the Camarones on toast and the Camembert with chutney. Together abundant but all three were absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and polite. The view was gorgeous, I was just in the shadow with the old town in the bright sunlight, a little breeze and 25C summer weather. Live was perfect. Later I find the El Internado Facebook page. Turns out it is owned by the owner of hotel Fauna and the large space is also frequently used for photography and other expositions.

Love this place. Amazing food, view, and music. We went back multiple times. A must try!

At Le Internado they serve mainly hamburger and some tapas. We enjoyed a Camembert and burgers. I tried the vegetarian quinoa burger which was very delicious. I can recommend this hipster fancy place, if you are into interior and having dinner with a view. The waiters were nice and easy going and the food was served very quickly.

Beautiful terrace views of Valparaiso meet tourist trap at this mediocre eatery. The open air layout is nice to enjoy on a crisp, seaside day, but waiting for 40 min for an overcooked cheeseburger is not how you should be enjoying the views. Although they try to create a sleek, modern ambiance, they cannot hide behind their facade of large glass windows and an all black interior for long as there is nothing sleek about bad service and overpriced, over-celebrated pub food. I would highly urge you to check out one of the many other amazing restaurants in this district (like cocina puerto), and not waste your time or money at this less-than-spectacular spot.

Good restaurant in trendy area. Food is pretty good. Tasting board with avocado, shrimp, hearts of palm and nuts is amazing. Cerviche is good. Service is friendly and good. Beer selection is OK. Views are great. Recommended.

This place had a lot of hype and it is actually a nice place and has a good ambience, but the service is very slow, our waitress was borderline rude. They serve a good portion of food, but it is just alright. We had the fish, the lomo, and then shrimp appetizer as a full portion. The prices are not too bad for a meal, compared with other restaurants in the city, but it does seem a little overpriced considering the mediocre quality and bad service. I am not sure I would recommend this place. I guess try it and see. It took me about 10 minutes to have the bill brought to me. Then another 5 to bring the credit card machine. I was at the point to just pay the bill and not pay the suggested service charge, however the waitress came back just in time.

Absolutely fantastic atmosphere while looking over the hills of Valparaiso. The La Negra Rica hamburger was out of this world.
