My order was missing a whole charcoal chicke, your signature item, and literally the main reason people order from this store. There are plenty of chicken shops nearby, but I specifically wanted El Jannah’s charcoal chicken.
Imagine being so hungry, waiting almost an hour only for the main item not to arrive.
I had to chase it up. I asked for the missing chicken to be redelivered, but was told to drive in and collect it, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for delivery. After a lot of back and forth with the call centre, I was eventually offered a code to use online to reorder the same chicken I should’ve received with the rest of my order over an hour ago.
This ‘solution’ was treated like a gesture of goodwill, as though I was being given something complimentary — but this wasn’t free. It was a product I paid for and never received. Everything else in the order was irrelevant without that chicken.
By the time the “replacement” would have arrived, my chips would have been stale. The meal was already ruined.
I was essentially made to do their job for them to fix an issue caused by their own incompetence.
The driver said he only received two bags.
For the record, I have CCTV footage showing the exact moment the bags were delivered to my door, all the way through to the stickers being removed.
