Loveliest setting across from the lake and the only place to stop for a coffee, drinks, snacks, gifts and the most important Food! There is Hotel nearby too but much pricier and indoor dinning only! A traditional if a bit basic, restaurant with a typical menu. Meat chicken and fish plus a few other choices. Deserts and coffee. Does get busy in the summer but Spring & Autumn are quite and great temperatures. Love feeding the wild fish & ducks in the lake with leftover bread from lunch!

A pretty nice restaurant with decent food. The place is located right next to the lake and offers a nice view depending on where you sit. The restaurants terrace is a nice, shady area where you can escape the heat of the day. The food is okay, I ordered the garlic chicken and while it was pretty well seasoned, the plating left something to be desired. The waiter was a nice man who made us feel welcome and spoke decent English. A nice pit stop after hiking the trail.

When I lived for 14 years from 2002 near this restuarant it was a joy to visit, enjoy good food, peace and quiet and excellent service. The opening of the Caminito del Rey has destroyed that formerly joyous experience. Hundreds of tourist wanting to walk the Caminito descend on the restuarant ,congesting the roads and parking, using the one toilet intended for customers and then departing in their hordes . We saw 7 coaches arrive in 30 minutes..about 350 people. The whole area has been ruined. Formerly a place of quietude and glorious scenery it is now a polluted crowded horror show. Which is a shame as the restuarant is good. The pictures show the area just around the restuarant. They do not show the huddled masses spoiling what was once so delightful a place to visit.

The food was disgusting – the meat was impossible to cut, tough and sinewy. I arrived here hungry before starting the Camino, but I ended up leaving everything on the plate. I've never eaten such a bad-tasting dish.

Ordered grilled lamb chops. Looks better than tastes. Lots of fatty meat in lambs chops. Had better experience then those.

1. The food was really bad. Burnt meat, dry, overcooked rabbit. No idea how it's even possible to cook it so wrong. Other dishes were bad aswell, all meat dishes were overcooked. Fries were tasteless. Only good thing i had on my dish was the pepper salad. 2. Service was OK, had to use google translate to order what we want but it's not a problem. 3. View from the table is great. However when we looked near other tables on the side of the balcony it was very dirty- napkins, food remains and other stuff was on the floor. And the most disturbing thing was wasps flying around us non stop, trying to get to our food. Price was the only good thing here as for 3 beers and 5 dishes we paid ~65eur. Wouldnt return here and I dont recommend this place.

The gentleman serving us was so helpful and kind. He prepared for us freshly cooked chicken sandwiches whilst also managing the rest of bar. The portion was also generous and reasonably priced. The freshly squeezed orange juice was extremely sweet as well, couldn't get enough of it.

We stopped for a late lunch on New Year’s Eve and had a very good pleasant experience. We ordered carrilladas (pork cheeks) & jabalí (boar in red wine) both were served with home made chips & vegetables and the meat was of high quality & had been slow cooked over many hours, we also had a portion of the croquettes very impressed. We will certainly recommend to our guests and return very soon.. note portion sizes are large!! Very inexpensive
