El Lola - Bar de Tapas y Flamenco

Tapas here is so bloody good, I will never forget those squid ink croquettes. Serving size was generous, staff were great, sangria was yummilicous - just the perfect package. Highly recommend a visit!

Great place with a very local touch. Tuna and squid dishes are just great. Super friendly stuff, many locals visiting this spot.

Tarifa's most famous tapas bar—justifiably so. All three dishes we had were delicious, above all the tuna tartare. Big portions, low prices. Scenic terrace, which is always packed in the summer months. Since they don't make reservations, the only way to avoid long cues is to arrive early. We came at 8:30PM and waited for ONLY 30 minutes. But when we left at 10PM, there were so many people waiting in the street that it seemed like "fiestas". Good thing is that you can order drinks while waiting.

I finally got to try this place because it’s always so busy. We got there early and finally got a table. Love the street where the restaurant is in. The service could improve. It takes a long time to order, and that’s because they don’t take your order as you are ready but in stead they go in order of tables from one side to the other. Since I was in the last end, it took them like 20 minutes to take our order even though we were ready. Their food was delicious. Everything that we had was good except for their tuna carrillada which is overrated and overpriced. Staff was very nice, helpful and genuine.

We were really disappointed that the tuna was overcooked and tasted old. The service was very slow, 30 minutes to take our food order from when we sat down and one of our dishes never arrived but to be fair to them it was Feria and very crowded. The blonde woman managing tables was very efficient. Unfortunately one of the waiters accidentally threw some red wine on my husband's hat and it was completely ruined but they were kind enough to give us some cash to replace it. Overall it was a terrible experience but maybe explainable due to feria but the tuna was really bad so mainly because of this I won't return. The food needs to be good, everything else can be explained but not bad food.

Nice place for tapas, we ordered the fried shrimp tapa, potato with jambon and eggs and fried squid stripes. all was great and big portions too. very popular place, there was a line of ppl waiting.

Thanks to fellow passengers in our flight for the recommendation. I just fell in love here through the food. Definitely coming back. Strong recommend.

Quality food and quick service. I advise to go there before 20 if you want to find available tables.
