"I found this to be a very social hostel that makes it easy to meet people thanks to a pool, a small bar, outdoor movie nights, and organized tours (including affordable trips to the San Blas Islands). The beds aren’t the best, but dorms have lockers and hot showers, there are female-only dorms, breakfast is included (pancakes, coffee, fruit), and there’s a spacious kitchen; the surrounding neighborhood also felt quite safe." - Matthew Kepnes

Very nice hostel, charming. Pool table, a pool, pancakes for breakfast. Well situated, near the restaurant, 15 min from the metro, and buses all around. The staff is very helpful and it’s easy to meet travellers 🌍

The best hostel in Panama city. Its located in a central area close to many points of interest and accessible by taxi. The reception is great and helpful with information and also the check in was seamless. The hostel is a great place to meet other travelers and you can prepare your own meals. I loved my time there and would definitely recommend for other travelers.

This is a courtesy message to appeal to the owners of the hotel and its management of the noise pollution they are causing on a residential area. We the neighbors of several buildings are subject to noise from guests up to midnight hours. Nothing wrong with having guests but they should have quiet hours. We will be attempting to address this matter with the local authorities as they ignore numerous phone calls to keep the noise down.

Close to the financial district - I ended up moving to Casco Viejo but overall El Machico was amazing for the price. The pool is great, the staff is great, and it's very secure! I would absolutely stay again

Super Cool! Good location in between the skyscrapers with many restaurants around the area. Maybe a little bar with some fast dish is missing. Great experience, staff really kind, good beds/rooms, nice pool and good idea with the TV in the common area. I booked through the hostel a trip into the canal's lake that really amazed me.

Many, many thanks to the Owners Jack and Alfonso! Your Hostel are so great and I really enjoyed my stay. The Rooms and Bathrooms are big and clean, they have a nice Pool and GTA for chill-days. I met here the nicest people and the vibe is such amazing. I'll come back ❤️

Simply amazing. The staff is friendly and they all speak out standing English. I high recommend this place because of the cleanliness, location, price, accomodations, guests, and everything else!! Seriously, you're not making a mistake if u stay here.
