El Machico Hostel

Many, many thanks to the Owners Jack and Alfonso! Your Hostel are so great and I really enjoyed my stay. The Rooms and Bathrooms are big and clean, they have a nice Pool and GTA for chill-days. I met here the nicest people and the vibe is such amazing. I'll come back ❤️

The best hostel in Panama city. Its located in a central area close to many points of interest and accessible by taxi. The reception is great and helpful with information and also the check in was seamless. The hostel is a great place to meet other travelers and you can prepare your own meals. I loved my time there and would definitely recommend for other travelers.

This hostel is not terrible but not the best experience. Female 8 bed is really cramped and beds not comfortable, with several mattresses broken. When we tried to communicate this with staff and attempt to organise a bed swap they weren't particularly helpful. The biggest issue was that there were nowhere near enough toilets for all guests. Had to queue for half an hour to use one toilet in the morning. We even had a problem with men trying to use the bathroom in the female dorm. Breakfast is not great either. Ended up buying this out anyway. Well situated and clean enough but I've experienced better hostels and wouldn't choose it again unfortunately!

Close to the financial district - I ended up moving to Casco Viejo but overall El Machico was amazing for the price. The pool is great, the staff is great, and it's very secure! I would absolutely stay again

Super Cool! Good location in between the skyscrapers with many restaurants around the area. Maybe a little bar with some fast dish is missing. Great experience, staff really kind, good beds/rooms, nice pool and good idea with the TV in the common area. I booked through the hostel a trip into the canal's lake that really amazed me.

Simply amazing. The staff is friendly and they all speak out standing English. I high recommend this place because of the cleanliness, location, price, accomodations, guests, and everything else!! Seriously, you're not making a mistake if u stay here.

A fun, relaxed and welcoming hostel! Made so many new friends here. Was assisted in booking trips to San Blas & given helpful advice on all types of travel arrangements. Pancake breakfast every morning. Bathrooms are big & very clean. Highly recommend!!!

This hostel it's a surprise! Conveniently located at a short distance from the "Costera" it is a quiet, confortable place where to stay for a few days while in Panamá City. At El Machico have dorms and private rooms; the dorm where I was staying is large with both aircon and fan, and has two toilets. Common area includes a entrance with a free pull table, a lobby, a great kitchen and a patio with cool swimming pool. I meet people from all over the world there. The hostal is always super clean and the price is affordable for most travelers. Highly recommend 👍🏽👍🏽 -R!ccardo+
