We spent a week at El Manantial Del Fresno and it was everything we hoped for. The property is at the end of a long skinny road, about 1km from the main road, situated on perhaps 3-4 acres. Well developed with trees and gardens, it is a safe space to let the children run around and chase the rabbits. The houses themselves are by no means five star, but everything was adequate. The hosts were very friendly and very eager to please. We found that basically everyone only spoke Spanish, but if you can master, yes, no and thank you, you can get by. Not to worry though, the son of the owners, speaks English very well and made himself available to translate as required. If you get stuck, Google translate is handy. ||||Wifi is pretty good, with coverage at key places like the sandpit and playground. ||||The pool is not super large but it is very refreshing to cool off after a warm Spanish afternoon. ||||||The houses are self sufficient with a good working kitchen so if you have small children that need to go to bed early, cooking at home is perhaps easier than waiting for the local restaurants to open. The local area is full of interesting things to explore, and good food to be had everywhere you go. ||||There is a bar/restaurant area adjacent to the pool and the one time we had breakfast there it was fantastic. Don't expect an English breakfast, with egg bacon and sausage, but everything that was served was 10/10 quality.
